I had good luck in this race until the screen freeze. I thought for sure that I would be in last place for most of the race. However, I benefitted from other peoples mistakes. I was still sure that they would be back to retake the position. However, I surprised myself by improving my pace by 2 seconds a lap! I think that is proof that caffeine is a performance enhancing drug. Also, I switched back to default springs and ARBs, and the car was much less tail happy. I usually gripe about understeer, but it worked this time around.

The screen freeze was a shame because Carlos was closing the gap, and I wanted to see if I could hang on to third place with one or two laps to go.

Such is life, I'll try deleting GPL and then reinstalling to see if that helps. If nothing else, it should repair my world record screen and make my team info page viewable again during a race.

On a separate note, no one was probably happier to see Johnny chose the Cooper for the race today. It was almost like having a team mate!

Hi had some good racing with Billy till he passed me and disappeared,  BUT 2 laps from finish also had the screen freeze, not going well this season for me, tried several things ie using lite cars and different cars and going back to letterbox screen, can a disco cause a screen freeze in GPL?  anyway race great fun while it lasted.

Grats to winner

Grats to Podium

A quick note, as this is an important matter.  Don't do anything major to your computers Rog. and Walter, if Online UKGPL is the only cause.  Everyone who races here is having problems these days.  It varies from race to race, and perhaps one connection to the next on the same track?

For Carlos C :  good to have you racing hare. ;)  We do not make a Demolition Derby after the race.  We do this on lap 1 at UKGPL.  :o

Results up, replay up. Am inclined to think not server or client cause but maybe a tiny glitch in the track somewhere that 60fps has exposed more than before. Since only 2 dropped the result AFAIK stands, but any incidents should be raised via the LM2 court system, i.e. "Submit an incident report" below the results.

Ok, got it. No crashing at the end.  :-[

I bearly made it to the race. Did not have time to qualify. Sorry to Billy for the hit we had in 1st lap.  :-\
It was a shame watching Walter disappear just one lap to go. I also want it to see if i could catch him.
It is a nice track i had a lot of fun.
Congrats to Mad Dog and Grupp!!

See you next race, cheers to all and happy 2016.

Grats to the finishers !

Martin was too fast for me, guess the Lotus has more topspeed.

I sticked to my Brabham - two mistakes in the middle esses  fortunately there are no rocks.

In the last Lap i hit the rock in the last Es. Got on two Wheels (90° Angle) and fell back on 4 wheels. Puh !

In the end, it was more than 35 towards CC and even the shift-R and twenty seconds would habe saved me :)

Gpl would not show me how many laps of fuel I had..999 laps isn't too helpful- I had a practice setup with 17 laps so shoved another few gallons in only to lose a wheel about a third into the race and lug heavy fuel to the end finishing with nearly 9 gallons. I made. a mess of my stop and go stopping at the wrong side of the track and having to try again at the right side narrowly avoiding a Ferrari and a.n.other- sorry chaps.  A few offs put me near the back but I seem to have benefited from others misfortune. Grats to the podium- and a great shame Walter missed the third spot he was flying in the Cooper.

Thanks Walter - an amazing drive in that Cooper!

At Bathurst, the Lotus has a lot to give, to us so inclined.  A better finish was needed than of recent ilk, and my ilk was lacking lustre.

The race started well, and I soon had a 10 second gap over Bastian.  The only worry was the Corkscrew, where I tended to give it too much 'bottle.' Almost had a spill or two to blot my blotter.  Instead this came at the end of a lap, where a lapper distracted my poise, as I turned to survey the Panoramic scenery.  With poise removed, I'd a half second to second, in a Bastian Brabham.

I'd just enough down under to hang onto the lead. With a small gap gained, I'd suddenly a large one as the last lap arrived.  So I added some Welly to the bottle at the Corkscrew, and decided to finish the race, driving the Northern Hemisphere way up.  Sadly, the roller skate had come adrift from my helmet, so it's full potential must remain unknown.  A reset and pitstop were required, with a large enough gap to 2nd for an undignified win.  Grumble!  :-\

Grats Martin on the win , just hope you don't start making a habit of it  ;)

Couldnt fully get to grips with this track myself , 3 motorway sections linked together with a rallycross ! needed more practise and a better set up than i had available.

Lap 1 and got caught up in other peoples accident , by the time I got going again my race was over as miles behind everyone else , had some eventful moments in the twisty bits trying to make up time but having to s/r and pit after damaging the steering dropped me further back still . A lonely drive until Martin came to lap me , was glad of the company so tagged onto his slipstream for a short while , shock horror when he outbraked himself at the next corner  , spun around in front of me, and I almost collected him !

Not one of the best races for me  :-\

Good to see a new face on the top step of the podium

well done all who finished .
