Anyone got a laptime to chase yet? I haven't had time for a single lap so far  :'( will have to try and jump on half hour before the event.

I think i did a 1.30,2 sec. on a fast track surface. Well off the lap record i guess. Maybe something like a 1.26 sec is possible for the fast guys.
Did not alter the stock set up yet, so it was using four gears only. Also the fuel usage looked crooked to me.

I will try to use h pattern,  so 2 minutes+ for me.

H-pattern is a must for cars that use them in AC, really adds to the immersion  :) I love using it for the older spec cars. Will be using my triple monitor setup tonight too, should give a great cockpit view  8)

H-pattern is pretty easy on brands, most corners are 3rd gear anyways...  :)

Can I assume a race length of 20 laps MJ ?

I'll take that as a yes then  ::)

Server is up - how many of you will get the password right? Not sure if it was meant to be what it is but I've set it to the announcement version. 1st letter change is there to trip the unwary up ;)

Sorry Pete, first time I've checked in for few hours, been too busy  :( and couldn't tell you how many laps as I haven't done any  :'(

Nor me but since booting the game, after starting the server and never have driven this car before, I'm in to the mid 27's already. It might be a quick race tonight then as you quick guys must be 2 or 3 secs quicker than that!

Locked up to avoid the new leader and then subsequently blew my gearbox on about lap 11/12  :(
Good fun until then though despite my steady flow back down the field due to mistakes :)

Apologies to anyone concerned when I accidentally set a 'kick player x' vote into motion after quitting to the pits - I was trying to get a full screen view to watch the racing and couldn't quite work out what that button was for  :ninja:

So it was you. I went off at the start finish straight while reading that, so nice strategy  ;D.

Is there a way to watch somebody else full screen?

That was great fun, what a cracking combination  :tt1:

Had always held 70's f1 drivers as ballsy heroes, now I know they are a piece of cake to drive   easier to handle than those group cars last week anyway :o
Pretty sure a real f1 driver would lap at least 5 seconds faster mind  ;)

Got reasonably up to speed quite quickly and managed 4th or 5th on the grid  :o and what a grid it looked on the Brands Tarmac  8)
My race start was very cagey as cold tyres and heavy fuel were an unknown entity, but I gradually picked up my pace and chased the two ahead for quite a while. Had some brief tussles with Fmg but both of us took it in turns to run wide and he retired after anyway to give me a quiet run to 5th. Not until after scaring the bejeezus out of me down at graham hill bend with his near stationary car!  :scared:

Didn't see the back guys for whole race ..where were you?  ;) ;D

Love the handling and grip of these with nice hints of controllable slide, I can see a masters historics series brewing  :)
Congrats to Jeff Lauda and the podium

Results posted (see above) but for some reason the old ACLogParser I've been using for the lap charts barfs when processing the file.

I was well off the pace so how I ended up 5th is beyond me. I will have a look at the replay tonight.

The setup I was using was terrible, should have just left it stock.

Other than camber tweaks I used the stock setup. Prob not the fastest config but with only half hour praccy under my belt it was the safer option  :)

:) All my usual off track excursions resulting in a good many very close laps behind Sutol. Very enjoyable, would love to use these wonderful cars again in the future.

Stay tuned for next week then Bob as I intend to run the F312T somewhere, possibly zandvoort once I've done some testing  :) if zandy is too bumpy then probably an Italian circuit for bella macchina!

Haaa, that sounds good.

And then we could do a mini series 312T vs 72D vs Mclaren M23.... ;D
