Overclockers seem to have a good price for the G29 for this weekend

I don't know if this will be useful to anyone but just in case....

PC World/Currys will be selling the G29 on Monday 28 March at £99. It is just for one day and is still showing at £179 as I write.

Seems a bargain to me and good luck in getting one if you try!

Anyone upgrading from a G27 will find that the shifter from that works with the G29 - just the shifter, not any of the buttons. I find it very handy as the thing I use mine for is the pit limiter, keeping it nice and separate from all the wheel buttons and very easy to find without looking.

Thanks for the tip!

I keep looking at them,  but I'm still not sure...
Maybe if the G29 didn't have that gaudy blue & if the G920 didn't look as if it was a stripped down version somehow... (although for GPL, I only need buttons for look left/right! :)  )

Maybe there's still some life left in my G25;  however at £100 for a spare setup,  I can't help thinking I really should be picking one up.

Can anyone advise whether the add-on shifter is any better than the G25 / G27 units?

Yeah, I know there's plenty of 'unboxing'  [what is that all about?!]  & biased reviews out there;   but this is the home of Sim-racing after all!

Any GPL-ers still out there & have any comments either way?

Cheers,
Dave.
