Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

The GTO cars are really nice to drive, hope I can make this race.

We would love to have you with us, You have registered on this forum so that is all you need to do.
Please have a read of our rules, mostly it's just be nice to people, keep two wheels on the track,
if you accidently knock someone off, then stop and wait for them to get going. or take a voluntary stop and go.

Try not to discuss incidents in this forum, as it often becomes a flame war, which we don't do in public.
If you think someone drove badly then submit an incident report.

Other than that, errr, you don't need to wear special clothing unless it makes you feel better  ::)

Welcome abablindside and kaifos, nice to have new racers :-))

I have managed a 1.51.355 lap so far, but the hotshots will probably go a lot faster.

You can always find some laptimes by checking the leaderboards from within  the game or at the RRE-website.
Actually it would be great and very useful if more people used the leaderboard challenge for practice.

Thats true Hotkeys! I have to go and check a what leaderboards says for that combination... And have to schooce a car what I drive... We had in ouer community a little challege competition in Raceroom... Car is NSU and the track is Brands Indy... laptimes is on the game leaderboard... Its like unoffical competition but the laptimes stays in the challenge and its easy to chech there what times other drive...

I have to ask that do You have a some practice serfver for that race? Yesterday there is and I managed to join... But now I and Kaifos just try to beat anothers challenge time... Or I just to try beat Kaifos...
Another thing... Is that so diffifult to create Dedi server? I managed yesterday to create when I opened some router ports... But every time when I launch a Dedi server icon and its opened to browsr, it says that I have to register and create a unique phrase... And what I have to write there? Cause everyhting that I put in there it not goes thru... Sometimes it goes thru and I managed to create server... Is that so difficult or is there some advise for that problem?

Yes I have read that information abot the server stuff and now I create a very unique phrase and managed to create server... its just a test that my server work... Good that You have a server too where we can do training... About our laptimes... Its just a little testing and default settings... We have to do some settings for car now so laptimes change... Lol just kidding... I found a good setups and little bit I maybe managed to squeese for that time I hope but Kaifos are serious beast... I just wonder how our engines works for the race... Hope that it not blow... I dont have problems but somebody have preoblems whit gearing things... Rev too much motor and its blow...

Our community in Finland... HDR... There is lot of guyis who drive in Raceconnect and I use to drive but not now in while... Too much time giving for flying sims... Now I have to come back in the driving bisness...
And laptimes are not anything... Or ofcource that tell something but the race is race and everything can happend... Its easy to drive hotlap but race is different thing... Hope all goes well...

What happened at the start? these Thursday races are standing start, not a rolling start like the Sunday races.

Stig left early? didn't see why. After having a good chase with mark, I was enjoying trying to stay with Carsten, but it
looked like he discoed, as he flickered in and out a few times, then disappeared.

Yip, great race.. I got a bad start, the Nissan is a dog on pull away. I was 4th for the first 2 laps, really started to push on in lap 3, Kai and Jan made a mistake and GT and I got past.. I was catching GT slowly, the through ascari I had great drive and then overtook GT there, I could push on till 15 minutes in. Then I have a few scruffy laps and Kai caught me as I went In too deep into ascai, he passed me and I was on his tail really close stuff, then he seemed to miss his braking point into parabolic. Then I could just managed the gap till I crossed the line. My fuel was really tight, only finished with 5 liters in the tank..

Yeah great race!! Thank everybody for good competition... I got good time in qual but start was poor... kai had past of me and is it second lap whemn Kai slip little bit in Parabolica and I managed to past of him... And the main straight brake Kai try to past me but he got some situation and poor brakinng so he went out and way too fast in the shicane... And I lgiove him space... Kai spin littlebit in shicane and I have to brake and avoid he and I went out little... And revs drop low... When I try to accelerate and suddendly a turbo boost and thats it... almost spinning and again spinnin for good... So another catch me and then I was ninth positiuon... So then fast fast fast laps and managen to catch people... And couple of guys spinning front of me. Kai example... So I finnish third... I almost catch a next one... Dont remember who... But very good race ät all... Third place and whitout mistakes its possibility to be first... Thank everyboby and definitely I race whit You guys again!!

Sorry about my bad start, I think two cars spin behind me. I have a slow reaction and after that my nissan start really slowly.

phspok, It was pity, that my game disconnect, when only 5min was left to race. Yesterday I have quite a lot disconnect issues in practice server. Today everything works fine in practice, quali and in a race before that. I don't know if the problem is in my raceroom, because in iracing I never have any issues.

But thank you everyone for a good race :thumbup1:

I had problems last night too, failed to connect first time I tried - sat there "waiting for server to respond" it said. Then got dumped out in the middle of free practice. This game is still far from perfect.

the game is SUPER I think but there is couple of thing what tels that it might be develope more! Exp. I dont like the thing that there is not a warm-up and warm-up lap before race... There is not much a tire simulation like rFactor2... But the feeling in wheel and overall... SUPER!!

I got mixed up in the messy start, but got away from it with just at Little damage. I was chasing Matt, but I had lag problems ( I used my wifi instead of a cable ). Being a blood.. AMATEUR I managed to ruin the gearbox on lap 2  :wub:

Ahh, had not realised that the Gr 5 cars had an update. I am away so much recently that I have not had time
to play with this much  :(

Perhaps I need to add STANDING START to the event page  ::)

It is still sensitive to lag and dropped packets, more than other sims I think.
I hardly ever have any issues, and I race from two locations, one is BT Infiniti and hard wired 1Gig Ethernet.
The other is Sky broad(ish) band with wifi from the 2nd floor down to the ground floor, and I still hardly
ever have any connection issues. Chortle.. Stig's "little damage" was caused by my back end "getting in his way"  ;D

Were you using manual clutch Stig? I thought that wrecked gears? or have they fixed it?

There is a "feature" of this game where if people leave before the race timer has counted down
it can screw the results. Carsten had no choice, as he discoed.

Nope I normally use autoclutch so I was a bit surprised myself. It happened during downshifting for the chikane, so it might have been due to the engine beeing overreved, but it just didn't feel like that way at all. I didn't experience anything like it during practice, so I'm a slightly confused ...... more than normally  :wacko:

A late in the day decision saw me jump in to join in the action.  Took the Ford as I struggle with the Turbo's, but it was a bit down on top end speed.

Great fun though.  Eck and I were close for most of the race. Late on, I thought I was maybe closing in, but then Kai had a small spin in his Nissan and recovered between us, which saw a bit of time lost.

RRE is coming along really well. Time permitting, I'll join a few more (but time is an issue).

Nice to have another set of historic cars to play with and add to the already large selection we have.

Audi is nice and stable out of the corners and chicanes and brakes well once the default brake balance has been tweaked. Unfortunately even with rear wing at 1 it lacks the grunt of the Datsun on the long straights of Monza.

Good to see some new and old faces on the grid last night and hope they join us regularly. You might also want to check out our Sunday night races which could certainly use some more drivers.

I think the auto-clutch take time for Your lap about 1.5-2s... For myself, I use H-shifter and clutch in gearing but not in down-shifting... When I down-shifting I use left foot braking and blip gas heavily when gearing so not a problem that engine or transmission for me... But I think that Kai says that he has problem fot that issue... Couple of years ago I learn a Heel&Toe style but I have to practise that more that I manage to keep good laptimes...
