This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

This will be the first race of our summer series featuring the free content "Silhouette Series" cars as suggested by our drivers. The cars are fictional but are a blast to drive with close BOP. They have slightly different handling characteristics from each other but I found the main difference in the power delivery. Should be fun  :)

There are 5 races in this series of which the 4 highest scores count towards the championship.

Good chance I may make this one, as I have a rare week in manchester.
I have left the pit start thingy as off, as I don't know exactly what it does, change it as required.

I'll probably change pitstart thingy to 1 sec penalty as these are rolling starts anyway so shouldn't be too much of a disadvantage if worst comes to worst.

I see there are already a couple on the leaderboard....

A brief go last night, they feel more like touring cars than GTs; not as easy to provoke or be provoked! Not entirely sure of the differences between the 4 cars but dont feel too different. Need to pla with the setup more to reduce the understeer and add a bit more power oversteer! never thought i'd be asking fr that!

Never thought to try these cars before, but actually they are good fun (and free..!), so I might join too if that's ok. Not done a rolling start before, will try and keep out of the way..

Its easy Brother, Just don't nail in on the start (like I forget to do  ;D), follow the Pole position sitter at a slow pace, then proceed on the beginning of lap 2

Enjoyed that  :)

Had a great battle with Spanner once Anty had driven out of sight and was under pressure racelong. Cars are a bit of a cross between TC and GT but were decent fun which is what it's all about.

Before Tony's OCD kicks in, I thought I might mention the tyres on these cars are Dunlop  ;) Not sure what class we can put them in though  ???

I loved it.. A bit messy though as made far too many mistakes, especially at the left-hander just before the hill that leads up to the corkscrew. Great fun though, congrats podium.

Tried all 4 out briefly before but never felt too comfortable, understeer on turn it and then oversteer on exit. Looking at there setups they look like a TC type setup which i makes them a little unpredicatble. Chose the C51 as it has a v6 or v8 depending on what you read and gave a better deleivery than the turbo cars which would cause me to spin on most corner exits!

Took a while but tried ot make the car less extreme in certain aspects, but still seems to have a tendancy to understeer in the slow stuff. Was very surprised to find myself near the sharp end of the grid but i guess the Radical@Laguna challenge  i did beforehand obviously helped ;) Its a track i can push around all day long! Good fun chasing GT all race but easier to chase than be chased! Front tyres went yellow then the rears so the last 10mins where quite tough. but mananged to readjust ok and could just keep within a sec of GT, but the understeer was horrible!

It was clear a number of you guys didn't have the pace you normally have so decided to post up my setup to see if it helps. Felt sorry for Oscar and srw who seemed to be getting plenty of slow-downs. Believe me my pace was a surprise to me!

The front runs quite low rebound which was affecting braking on default and reduced the bump to make the front softer. The rear isn't too bad by default but effectively increased everything a notch or two to make the car turn in better and negate some of the mid-corner understeer.

Hi...   ;D

Thanks spanner for your setup... much appreciated,
To be honest it was not my day...

At the rolling start i saw Eck move and slow down to the right... so i slowed down and kept looking behind, to see if he was
coming up to re-take his position..
As he didn't, I let myself drop back after the start, as I did not want to take advantage of the situation..

Of cause my overall speed was not that great... but could sort of nibble away and get closer to larry, pete and swr ...
However, at the halfway distance ... for some unclear reason, I felt the need to go for the "mandatory" pit-stop...

Stupid... !!!

That was then my race completely over...  ;)

I enjoyed that very much.  ;D The cars are an easy drive, and perhaps with more setup time
I could get one to go a bit quicker, but I did much of what Spanner suggests, and got it handling
reasonably well.
