Havent quite worked out whats on sale, had a quick look and some of the cars are the same price for me as before. Plus it sounds like there is another offer on their other store, where you buy the vrp.

Here's a link to the store to buy vrp but I don't think there are any new promotions running there: https://www.raceroomstore.com/uk/list_page?cat=24

Sale is for cars and tracks only and does not include any packs or individual liveries.

There is also a steam summer sale running with 50% off some packs.

I'll probably be using the sale to pick up a few cars I don't yet have.

Excellent Pete  :thumbup1:
Whenever we have run at the Green Hell in the past in any sim, it has always been a bit emotive, some people love it
some hate it. It's the way it is. I enjoy the challenge, though seldom finish. I usually end up over a fence or down a ditch
somewhere. Last event was I think a GTL one, and I might have come second simply because most people fell off  ;D

FYI they've just announced the summer sale with 50% off cars and tracks and 25% off packs.
https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/summer-sale-2020.15320/ (https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/summer-sale-2020.15320/)

Think I'll pick up Ningbo, Zhejiang, Daytona, the GT2 911, GT4 718 and latest GT3 911. I've been using the 911 GT3 Cup cars to try and improve myself in rear engined cars as I'm particularly weak in them.

FYI, Tracks that I use in my Thursday events, that may not come with the packs (I don't keep up)
Are Zeijhiang and  Paul Ricard. I really don't like Ningbo so probably won't use that one.
Can't think off the top of myhead any others, I will post here if think of something.

No idea Birger, I just get a message saying servers down for maintenance when I start the game.

PS: Apparently a hard disk failure, being worked on now.

Any new(er) cars you're thinking of running as there are few I don't own Matt/Stephen?

Not sure yet. I will do the usual poll with some options in it.

As most of you know, I am not a fan of Porsches, but I bought the 2019 911 RSR GTE car in the sale. Been trying it out at Daytona, truly brilliant fun & dead easy to drive on default setup. Would make a good series I think.

Tested it - it handled OK on default for me!  ;D I also tried the Beemer 2014 DTM, that was OK too in default setup. Not tried other cars in the Class but it could be suitable Series. Some of us raced the Beemer M235i a couple of years ago.

It seems to me that the Default setup is much easier to drive with a minimum of personal changes!  :jumpjoy:

I like the modern Pork that we used for that first R3E own series.
Is this that one? I think I put it in the vote. I would be happy to run that, even though it is a bit too "modern"
for a Thursday.

Point: If you are looking to buy cars you don't have, check out previous series we have run here.
e.g
GTR4 I liked, but wasn't popular at the time (Except for Geoff and I, as he has the Lotus)
DTM92
2019 WTCR are very good
BMW M1 I liked, but not popular at the time.
NSU TTS We have run these a couple of times and usually provide close fun racing.
Group C Were ok, but quite hard to drive fast.
Group5 we have run with some success, also the Capri from this group we have run with again some success
GTO CLassics, I like, but didn't get much love in the past.
Merc DTM 2003 or 2005, I really liked on of these, can't remember which  ::)

Bear in mind that a lo tof the cars have changed in the recent updates, so may be a different drive than
we have seen in the past.

No, that was the 911 GT3 Cup. This is the GT car Porsche run at Le Mans, in the RaceRoom store go to car classes, it is the only car in the GTE class. I know, all these 911s confuse me too.

The GTE spec 911 is the one I didn't buy in the sale as I probably wouldn't use it without any other GTE cars to compete with and if they add more cars to GTE class I'd probably buy the BMW M8 GTE instead.

I'm sad I wasn't around for the GTR4 series, I like the BMW M4 GT4.
WTCR is my favourite class (I'm a touring car nut), 2019 is a good buy in the sale before 2020 gets released, fortunately 2018, 2019 and 2020 all use the same spec cars so it doesn't matter if you don't have the latest cars.
NSU's can be fun as a change.
DTM 1992 are a lot of fun and there are some cool options in terms of cars, if you haven't played them in a while beware they are now much tougher to drive.
DTM 2020 will also be coming later in the year.
Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland 2019 has some good liveries, all tracks they raced are in game and they are an interesting challenge (I'm still terrible at driving Porsches).

We ran DTM92 last series, and for most of the trio of series for some time
We fell out with them a bit, which is why we are running Touring Classics this time.

I have the Merc DTM 2005 which we raced before, also the Porsche 911 GT3 and Porsche 911 Carrera Cup (which I certainly disliked as it’s virtually a road car with little to tune out under steer).

I'll do some testing this week, and see what I think would make a good series.
I like to make Thursdays somewhat historical, but as I have said "many many" times before
I don't care too much what we run if people will come along.

Hey Matt any thoughts yet on what we might run for the next series? I'm not too fussed either, but sale ends next week and would be nice to be able to pick up any required cars that I might not yet have while they're still at half price..

Please vote for the next 3 series we will be running. Please do vote otherwise we don't get a true feel
for what people want.

just a heads up about new content before the sale ends:

I will be using Ningbo & Zhejiang later this year

I am also weighing up the possibility of GT4's

Last chance saloon here as well  ;D

We will be using as close as I can get to the 2019 WTCR season, so Ningbo will be in there
also, I'm sure I will find a use for Daytona road and Zeijiang at some point.

Win win for me.

WTCR is my favourite class and GT4 is probably my second favourite.

I picked up Ningbo, Zhejiang and Daytona in sale  :thumbup1:

Thanks for the tip!  Now have more tracks to potter around in a FRJR for a GPL-esque experience (without the death).
