HANDICAPPING
The tokens system remains for all drivers.
In the interest of having a competitive championship the faster drivers are requested to voluntarily select car that suits your ability, from Race 1. If you are consistently qualifying at the front of the grid,  finishing on the podium & recording fastest lap then you should be not be taking a faster car.
The championship will be reviewed after Race 3. Drivers may then be allocated to one of the following handicap groups
Group 1 BRM, Honda, or Cooper,
Group 2 as above + Brabham
Group 3 as above + Ferrari
For Round 6 the following handicap applies
David Rainier & Jani Posta – Group 3.

Drivers are permitted one Reset / Shift R per race, followed by a compulsory Stop & Go within two laps. If you take your reset on the last lap 15 seconds will be added to your time. A second Shift R will result in Disqualification unless it is the direct result of the first incident e.g. hit when respawning.
If you are the first car entering the pit lane to take your SnG aim to bring the car to a halt alongside the last pit stall - closest to the exit. As soon as your car is stationary you can go. You won't be penalised if you stop a little short or beyond the pit stall.
In the event that more than one car takes a SnG at the same time the following cars can perform their Stop & Go in line.
No overtaking in the pit lane.

Until the number of registered drivers exceeds grid capacity drivers may join the server as soon as it appears in IGOR.

Drivers are required to complete 50% distance to score points.

There is no Red Zone for this series, moderating will be on reported incidents only. Please remember that an additional 1 place penalty is awarded for Lap 1 incidents.

Please restrict chat to pit messages including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

Password: see above

Group 3 as above + Ferrari
For Round 6 the following handicap applies
David Rainier & Jani Posta – Group 3.

That means Jani and me could not select Lotus or Eagle.
It should not be a great handicap on a track like Laguna Seca :)

By the way, I think that Philippe is going to be hurt  by these handicaps :D :D

David,
The handicaps will be kept under review after each race. Mosport was Philippe's first win, when neither you or Jani were competing. Philippe is leading the championship, but he has picked up good points by being consistent in nearly every race.
As you say a handicapped car at Laguna Seca won't make a great deal of difference, but there are some power circuits later in the season.

I was in a good place but at first a spin of Reinier than i remained with the gear lever in my hand and ,consequently ,out of the track.Stop and go and a good recovery till the 5th position but at this point smoke from my engine. The bad luck continue.
The only positive note is that the engine has held till 33 laps not half lap like at Mosport.

I did, thank you.  Did a PB in qualy, using my new setup created by a Canadian genius, whom I keep locked in a dungeon.  :P  Finished 4th.  I've never raced there before, and it certainly is a great rhythm track.

I had a frozen screen in qually. So I crossed my fingers as I tried joining again with only a few minutes to spare. I had a nice view of the action in front. I needed at least half the race to re-familiarize myself with sim racing. I had not raced since June. I blew the engine once, and I was proud to finish the race. I hope that I did not get in anyone's way.

Good Race,
WC

Jani, I'm really sorry for the spin. All my apologizes.
In the first round, I was second behind David, but I am also a spin and I restart 4th.
Difficult track to overtake an opponent, and yet all my apologizes for this contact, there was a great battle between us.
I think I am not driving crazy, I did not purpose...
I think that with my brabham, I was more speed than you, but I cannot overtake you, not possible on this track !

No hard feelings Philippe. Yet again I was too tired to reset the car after the collision, so I rather retired. Congrats on your victory and to podium finishers! Thanks for the race!

Yes,is true.I was able to do an overtake on Nilsson on the first curve, the only site possible.I don't know haw much collaboration have gived me Nilsson but the overtake was succesful.Despite all the misadventures i have found this race fun, could be more fun if i was able to finish but was not possible.

Sorry again Philippe and Dave for the incidents between us.
Hopefully, it was without any bad consequences as you finished 1st and 3rd.

Congrats Philippe for a well deserved win.
Maybe I was quicker on a single lap (see my pole and my fastest lap) but you were more consistent than me during the race.

I took the pole and was leading during 2 laps (as I can remember) but I had a too big pressure and made several mistakes : for example, I did a lap in 1'37"" (should be lap 18) when I went out of the track on 1st turn.

Decided I would give the Coop a run out , not had much practice of late so decided to "go easy" for the race on this tricky track , after a few laps found myself in P4 and even P3 for a while due to others misfortunes , however it wasnt to last , I did my qually on race fuel then found the car getting more & more  twitchy as the fuel load dropped and with the fast boys catching up again I began seeing the red mist and pressing too hard on the gas and the brakes , or both gas and brakes , running off track a few times thus helping those playing catch up to " catch up "
all in all glad to come home 5th behind Ronnie who did a great job in the BRM
Bit sick to find out later I had slowed and moved over for a blue flag situation  one of the cars I let through was on the same lap , ( DC running in stealth mode ) doubt i could have held you off for many laps though  Dave as you were pedaling much quicker me .
Sorry to hear of Mikes error at the start , Pretty sure you could have raced to the finish and got a dispensation from the mods ? I understood all track misdameaners where turned off for this series ?

Grats to the Podium and all finishers .

Not sure I will be around for the next as a Trip over to Holland is on the cards .

Mod report now published. As Philippe has won the last two races & leads the championship he will be handicapped to Group 3 for the rest of the season (along with Jani & David Rainier).
