Please use the poll above to register for UKGTR Sprint Season 3. Please only choose Full Time or Reserve for a given class.

Races will be held Tuesday nights, with the regulations and format unchanged from Season 2, except that the skin pack (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=1235.0) will be used and must be installed by all drivers.

We're hoping to get the season started next week (April 4th).

By way of forewarning, it would appear from the earlier unofficial poll that NGT will be much more heavily subscribed than GT; if you ask for a full time spot in both series, chances are that you'll be full time in GT but reserve in NGT.

There's no need to post anything in this thread, but if you haven't racing in UKGTR before and both your driving name nor lobby name are not similar to your forum name or ID, it would be helpful if you could post your driving and lobby name here to help us identify you. Thanks.

oops, i posted full time for both GT and NGT before re-reading Daves post. :-[  I want to be a NGT full time as my priority please.

So my name on the forum is BigG and in game its [RSms]BigG. So going by that, NGT full season. I and the other RS's have all voted, but do they need to enter on this thread as well as we all have diff forum names to racing names?

It's helpful if they haven't raced GTR with before - but where it's just a prefix we can usually figure it out ('BigG' is pretty distinctive). ;) It's when the names don't match up at all that it becomes tricky. :D

Well, looking at the numbers, and assuming that there isn't a big influx of registrations over the weekend, we're very light on GT drivers, and don't have enough NGT to make two divisions.

As a result we may well find ourselves in the position where we run one pure NGT Sprint championship, and one mixed championship with all the GT runners plus the more experienced of the NGT drivers who aren't running in both.

Dave will there be a quali to get in the NGT event or how will this be done? Nice to race in a big field looking forward to it.

Pretty sure, even as a reserve, I will race most of GT season. Just didn't want to risk missing out on NGT by registering full time, and guess a few others thought the same as well.

I've registered for both, but if you need me too I can just race GT and just be a reserve in NGT.

We don't do any pre-qualifying - if we go divisional it'll be based on ability as best we can under the circumstances.

If anyone wants to voluntarily change their 'vote' from NGT Full/GT Reserve to GT Full/NGT Reserve that would be very helpful.

Imo good to have those who registered for full time nGT only in nGT Sprint full, then those who registered for full time nGT aswell as GT reserve get next slots and then nGT reserves last. I'd prefer driving with the more experienced drivers tbh.. can't see use in secluding them! Can maybe use SimRacing.org.uk stats for inclusoin/exclusion to nGT Sprint for slots left after nGT Sprint only entries, average finishing position maybe? nGT Sprint and mixed Sprint sounds gr8.

How many nGT full time only are there?

I think qualifying idea is good but difficult to manage, with qualifying though it's good to know you've given it your best shot to get into the faster races. Bit late now to do any kind of qualifying but in future I think it's a great idea, can only encourage more effort and increase motivation.

Okay, thread locked temporarily whilst I sort through the registrations.

Well, that's worked out rather nicely. :sweatdrop: Everyone who wanted a full time drive has been given one in one class, givings us exactly 24 full time NGT and 17 GT drivers. Thanks to everyone who voluntarily switched from NGT to GT. :thumbup1:

Please check the GT (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?ind=lm2&group=22) and NGT (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?ind=lm2&group=23) lists to see what you've got. I'll send out a note to everyone reminding you where the passwords are later, when we've picked them. :laugh:

That still leaves 7 free full time GT spots, so reserves are strongly encouraged to turn up and race.
