SimRacing Vs GRC Race on rF Leinz

All GRC and SimRacing members welcome!

Date: Wednesday 5th April

Practice: 8:15pm (30 mins)
Qual: 8:45pm (15 mins - no limit on laps)
Warmup: 9:00pm (5 mins)
Race: 9:05pm (Something around 30 mins) - ROLLING START
Track: Limerock (minus Chicane)
Car: Rayzor or Venom RC1 or RC2

It's very rally-esque.

Anyway, I was driving some at Limerock Rayzor RC1. I can't get under 55 seconds, mostly 'cause I can't tuck a nose into the corner, unless I brake and apply power - you know, like in Richard Burns Rally. Advanced driving, etc., but sometimes I do it good and sometimes I don't. I'm not used to this "pump" differential, can't get a proper lift-off oversteer. I tried various suspension modifications, but if I make it oversteary the butt is too unstable and I spin a lot. I tried to search for these setups but either I'm too clumsy or there isn't any. Any help would be welcome.  :)

Well the setup I posted, is as good as I could manage for Lienz, I do RBR it round most of the corners, it works quite well with practice.

I find that the key things to driving it quick and on track are:

you can't brake and turn coz it understears.
you can't lift and turn coz it understears.
you can't accelerate and turn coz it understears.

I don't think the car and track are a good combination, I got the GRC to vote on both and that's what they came up with, In future I'm going to pick the car, and let them/us vote for a track.

I did have a good balanced setup, which could be driven very easily, and semi quickly, but it got lost.
