As this year is the 50th anniversary of the original 1967 Formula One season we are running the original tracks, although we will use the updated Spa 67. To fit the original  calendar into the UKGPL 10 race season there will be a non championship race at Rouen on 29th January.

Why not on Le Mans - Bugatti track to closely fit real season 1967 ?

For anyone thats not looked at it already I would suggest testing Spa67 for performance.  I've spent many hours last night and today tuning my settings to try and get the best performance specifically for this track.

The pit area is particularly heavy on FPS when using 60FPS; around 40FPS for me sitting static at the pit.  That drops close to 30 behind a full [close] grid. It improves as you go up Eau Rouge, but its not rock solid when following a full pack of cars until they spread out somewhat.  I was also suffering quite bad tearing on screen until playing more with negative LOD BIAS, Supersampling and various other small tweaks (NVIDIA card).

My system is getting on a bit now and using Windows 10 doesn't seem to help with GPL or 60FPS but it seems to be OK with most other tracks. Although I may use this an an excuse to upgrade my Graphics Card.

Anyway, just a heads up for anyone that's not had a look at the track yet.  :)

Steve make shure your CPU is running in full speed without any power saving or throtteling down,
for
- intel CPU turn speed step off in GEM+
-AMD CPU turn cool&quiet and C6 and C1E off in bios

Unfortunately HP seem to have limited the BIOS and the option to disable Cool 'N' Quiet or any other option is not there  :-\

Steve the first thing to do is a diagnose of what is going on when you are racing.

The CPU has to run full speed and the GPU in 3D mode

I use the http://openhardwaremonitor.org/ plot that shows me in a graph the HW load, temps and frequencies during a race.

OK I'll try that.  I'm away this week but back home over the weekend so will hopefully get to try it then. Thanks.

As of this morning we have 26 registrations which is sufficient for two grids. We will have a think about how to allocate the drivers. Anyone who intends to register, please do so as soon as you can.

Evening folks - I'm a long time absentee, returner with more free time (hopefully!) Last time I raced was season 3 or 4 I think...!

Am I too late to register for the '67s for this season? I've submitted my vote at the top of the thread - guessing that's the official way to register?

Tim

Welcome back timbob67!!

There is still room for more as we are running 2 servers for the 67 ( Graduates) and this being the 50th year after 1967 we are running the original Papyrus circuits for this season. So you should feel right at home.  ;)

We have created a new division for Privateers. See the separate post for more information.

We have created a new division for Privateers. See the separate post for more information.

Ronnie Nilsson appears to be both in the Privateers and Works, while the unfortunate Ronnie Peterson appears to have been omitted from either division. If Ronnie Nilsson is happy in the Privateers, I (Ronnie Peterson) am happy to take his place in the Works?

I don't think I'll be back to Japan until after this season finishes so it would be rude not to compete here ;)

I've been assigned to privateers. I would prefer to be in the works this season.

Hello guys, long time no see you on track for many reasons. I'll try to race again with you on Sunday. I'm a bit rusty with GPL but luckily my new W10 installation works fine instead my old W8 that didn't work (low fps).
See you on track!

Ah and put me in Privaters if you need an old slow driver, over 60 now :-)

Hi Fulvio, not heard from you for a while! If you have really slowed down that much then you need to register for the Privateers thread.
