Difficult to drive Cup Car here. Unstable. Overdampened like a stool  :D and non manageable car dampers. May be needs some correction from Kunos?
IMO this combo is an example how this car and track brinds to me partially  not good emotions from Spa  ;D
UPD . But... it looks more better if more pratice and need precision car setup tune.  ;)
Love Spa!

I see mr Linus has deposed me from 3rd in the timings so far....niggling at you was it?   ;D
I think you and shark have become Porsche fans since this series started  ;)

Love this track and the cup car feels glued to it. Oddly, lowering my wing gives no speed advantage on the kemmel straight or back of circuit.  :-\

HEHEHE just warming up. That was my second lap also and thought, that will do :) Plenty more to come as well lol Be afraid lol

Must admit, the car does drive very nice for a Beetle  :D

I'm finding the car gets unstable on some of the kerbs and the wing makes no difference as well.

The car is pretty tricky around the track here, it needs some damper settings  :P

And hopefully we'll get through the infamous first corner unscathed aswell  ;D

Love Pink Floyd !

I was just listening to the same album ( probably one of PF's best )  8)
Favorite song on there for me is Pigs  :walkman:

I'm really peeved I could not break into the 22's  :'( I tried various aero and Arb settings but none made any difference. The one lap I was a 9/10ths up and the bloody downshift protector screwed up the last chicane...grrr.
An hours practise netted a whole 1/10th improvement on my pb  ::)

Still, I do enjoy driving fast pork around Spa  8)

Mark, try to up 1 click in front ride height. It brings some more roll for conner exits. Try to use a slightly negative toe on rear tyres.  :)
Maikel and nfsw55 is just a simple crazy ! I'll try to put they alone  on track in they's final battle  ;D
But not others!

Great championship this been. These cars are definitely in my top 3 now  ;D

Quite an uneventful race for me. Had a good start, shame nfsw dropped down abit at the start/T1, would have been a nice fight. Saw that there were some close battles going on behind me, so I just went on trying to beat my pb. Then this combo started to grow on me all of a sudden. The last few laps the rear was starting to loose grip and I was drifting ever so slightly into the corners, that actually felt pretty good.  ;D

Gratz to nfsw and Thomas aswell on getting 2nd and 3rd in the championship. Seems to have been a close fight  8)

Big congratulations to Maikel on winning this fantastic championship  :notworthy:

Also to Nfsw and Thomas in a very close fight for 2nd and 3rd  :thumbup1:

What a great race to finish the series too, really enjoyed that race long fight and chase with Sharky  :fencing: and Chris earlier.
Thought we might both get Michael too with the momentum we had, but alas my rears started to give up the ghost on lap 14 with a couple of scary oversteer moments.
All that effort for just 7th  :o. Brilliant fun though.

Many thanks to all that raced and supported this series, hope you enjoyed the racing as much as I did.  :thumbup2:

Congrats Maikel, well deserved  :jumpjoy:

That was a very tough race indeed and probably one of my least favourite for being fairly uneventful.  My objective for this series was finishing 6th in the drivers championship and 3rd in the team championship. For this race I needed to beat FMG by 1 point to secure 3rd in the team championship, beat him by 4 points I think to get 5th in the drivers, not get a terrible result so Mark jumps back ahead of me to claim 6th and stay close to Alexey in case he gets a podium and knocks us all down a place. Qualified a half decent 6th and made an ok start. Had a little battle with Thomas on the run down to Eau Rouge but he was braver than me and stayed ahead. Then had a few laps trying to hold NFSW back but he got ahead also. FMG was behind and I was able to slowly pull away a bit each lap. Most of the race I was on my own but about 4 laps to go, Simon was on me and I was doing just enough to hold him back. My car was horrible at this point and so nervous on turn in and on the last lap, I got a wobble and Simon nipped past. I tried to fight back but I had nothing left and with Mark behind, FMG further back and Alexey only two places ahead, it was objective achieved.

Amazing racing, amazing championship, can we do another please??

Thanks to Mark for organising and all your hard work and for everyone else involved in helping run this amazing league  :thumbup2:  :notworthy:

A lack of pace again this eve, ended up 3rd chasing Alexey, had a go but couldn't get in done, a couple of laps and errors later I was behind nfsw, his car started a warp around again so it was more a case of guess where the car is going to be next instead of racing. Very annoying tbh. Missed my braking at the last corner and he was gone, 3rd was handed to me when Alexey was sat in the middle of track stationary? Not sure how or why?? All in all it has been great fun racing you guys this season and a big shout out to Mark and UK Simracing for hosting. I am sure they would appreciate a donation if you haven't already. See you on track again soon.

That was a fantastic race, helped by me being useless in qualifying, having to come back to where I probably could have started and avoiding any crashes on lap 1.

Virtually no practice again and assumed previous setup would just work. It didn't. Was hopeless in qually, the car felt like it was on ice at the back and unable to push without falling off. I did what you should never do (but I had to) and made some big changes to the setup just before the start of the race with no testing at all making guesses as to how to fix it. I must have been on clever juice because they simply worked. Car was stable but I was also able to play with it and I felt confident right through to the end. My fastest lap was 2 from the end I think so no tyre performance drop off for me!

So starting from 8th I settled in and was immediately getting held up by Chris and Mark (mostly Chris, sorry mate ;D). Mark and I both pressed him and when Mark eventually got past I was through at the same time too. After pushing Mark for a while I eventually got past him and went as quickly as I could to catch FMG and Michael. To my surprise caught FMG fairly quickly and he obliged by making a mistake and making it easy to pass. Thought Michael was too far away to get before the end of the race and pushing a bit too hard I was losing some time with minor mistakes, but just managed to sneak past with 1 lap to go when he made an error nearly losing the back end in the middle fast bit.

Have to say I was on the absolute edge for the entire race tonight pushing as hard as I possibly could and it felt awesome!

Well done to Maikel for the win and championship, well deserved and also to my team for the team title. Go Sharks!

These cars have been a revelation to me as I never thought a Porsche could be so much fun. I really think this might be in the top 3 cars of all sim-racing for me (and I've been doing it for a long time), I absolutely love them, perfectly balanced between easy and hard with the ability for great racing too.

Would be great if there was a Ferrari to race against with these to spice up the grid a little, but I don't suppose there is, is there? Porsche vs Ferrari. Epic.

Thanks for the race guys!
Congratulation to Maikel- you are winner and absolutely fast racer!
Congrats to nfsw55 and Thomas!
This race was very important for me- i've tryed to up my champ table position.  ::)
Q 3rd and  then a sucess ( lucky) race start for me ( look - i was in Neutral gear in 1-st turn!  ;D but ok )
Stayed in 2nd pos till 12 laps, defending from Thomas and nfsw55. Aaand ... 1 small braking mistake in Pouhon turn takes me to spin.  Lost my 2-nd pos to 4th. Lost podium, lost champ positioning  :-[ Then approached to Thomas again but it was too late.  :)

I am happy that joined to UKAC community. There are a good old school and proper pilots here. :) My only problem is that i racing in 4 AM at deep night here . Sometimes is tooo hard to wakeup from bed this time  :D :-[ :'(
Thanks all guys what i seen in races! Battles was fun, interesting and sportish! Cup car brings a very good race emotions!  :)
Great thanks to Mark, Pete and Jeff for organisation, support, and server service! All of it was in high level and friendly athmosfere! Stay same condition!  :)

Congrats Maikel for winning the championship :thumbup1:

Big thanks to all who made the events possible, especially to Mark and Pete  :notworthy:

Today I qualified P2 behind Maikel who already showed his class during the practise session.
Unfortunately I screwed up the start, somehow my back stepped out while accelerating from the s/f line so I needed to go off the throttle to prevend my car from spinning. Went wide in turn1 to avoid any contact and lost some more places. Found myself back in P6 after that.
From there on I tried to catch up to Thomas to hold P2 in the championship standings. I overtook Michael for P4 and slowly closed the gap to Thomas. When I arrived at his back he had a little slide at Blanchimont and I was able to pass him.
After that I was able to increase my gap to Thomas and also had some laps close behind Alexey before he spun. Didn't risked any mistakes afterwards and ended the race in P2.

Hopefully another championship with this wonderful car will be held here at some point 8)

Lots of fun again, although my race went slightly to pot just after halfway and took me till the last lap to pull myself together again a do a decent lap  >:(
A lot of work for 9th! Big thanks to Maikel for the setup he shared, mine had been rubbish and his allowed me to knock several seconds off my lap time. Shame I hadn't found it early enough to practice with and figure out how to get the best out of it :)

For this race I needed to beat FMG by 1 point to secure 3rd in the team championship, beat him by 4 points I think to get 5th in the drivers
We're joint 5th - how do we settle things around here? behind the bike sheds after 3:30, blunt weapons only?  ;D

To my surprise caught FMG fairly quickly and he obliged by making a mistake and making it easy to pass.
I think that was after I started loosing focus - the mistake as you passed annoyed me, I expected you to beat me eventually but hadn't planned on making it that easy!
To make matters worse it put me off line so much that I messed up slightly again and gifted Jonzo a spot  ::)

A few laps later I lost it properly and had a spin dropping another place or two - maybe Maikels setup needed some tweaking to suit me, or perhaps I just needed more time to get to grips with it. To be honest I had no practice prior to last night anyway so can't complain too much...

First of all congrats to the champion. Well done Maikel!

Second, my appologies to Bob for tapping him at the start. I had Chris in front who got a bit sideways off the grid and had to take evasive action. Did not went well. We did however had a good battle after all with 4 cars side by side. Apex, Stephen, Bob and I where door to door for quite some laps. Good fun.
All in all it was a very nice championship indeed. Always a pleasure racing here. Looking forward to the next one.

Not sure what happened at the start but by eau rouge I was still in my grid position BUT with Mark and Simon behind me which was a surprise. So for a few plus laps I had them in my mirrors testing me on how late I could brake, not as late as they could as it happened. Eventually Mark squeezed past with a small amount of paint exchange and Simon sneaked past as well in his wake at the bus stop chicane. It was nice watching them in front of me jostling for position; I was secretly hoping that I could capitalise from a mistake but that mistake never happened. I'm not sure how FMG ended up behind me but there he was gaining all the time but a lap or two from the finish he started to fall away much to my relief.

Thanks Mark for organising a very successful championship, just peeved that I wasn't able to make all the races. Congratulations to the podium and Maikel for the championship win :)

Best wishes, Chris

Arm wrestle????

I did wonder about that also. It says you are 5th and I am 6th but we have the same points. Is it that the system can have two drivers in the same position or is one ahead because of better overall results?

Simon, can you help?

There you go  ;D

This was actually the last lap of the race, somehow with the slippery rear the car just felt great. Crucial thing for this was definitely the FFBclip app. I was having some issues with it this last Sunday with the 919 race ( somehow this is the only car that makes my apps go all buggy   :-\ ) and tried to run it without it the app... and it was terrible. Spent a good time and half the quali just to get it working, can't imagine racing without it. Not sure if it makes such a difference on other wheels but for a G27 I think this is a must have app.

Setup is in the comments section of the video. Actually the first time I tried a low front ARB - high rear ARB. Need to test it some more but so far it made alot of difference in terms of stability going into corners.

Ok thanks! Will test you setup)
BTW i am using LUT Generator for G27 FFB better linearity. I have best FFB feelings here- no empty ( but turned) FFB  in  center and more calm FFB in whole range. Can't drive without custom FFB lut  :)
