Yes I tried to give you a favour.
Two races, two wins !
remember, the 2 worst results are discarded ...so in fact you are the virtual leader of this serie.

In my opinion, you should only use Honda, Cooper or BT7 !
Maybe for round 6  :)

Great track and really enjoyed the race.

Qualified third, was probably the third fastest over a lap and finished third, so no complaints.

Made a couple of early mistakes that dropped me down but I knew I had the pace to make them up, which I did.

Was great to hear a BT7 out there, albeit briefly, until it disappeared over the horizon. Great drive from Gareth and from Czary too. I matched him for pace through the mid race but on low fuel he slowly pulled away as I was trying to drive the wheels off it to make up some time and maybe scare him into a mistake but it wasn't to be.

Looking forward to the next one and I have never driven any of the remaining tracks so no idea what to expect.

Fantastic end of the race for Walter.
Just look at his best time.

Around mid race, I had and advantage of 20 seconds from him but he just finished 0,05 sec behind me !

Walter, what did you put in your engine ?

What have putted also you Dave.Looking at Replay analizer your car and all the other are faster than mine on the straght, conversely i was faster into the curves.I'm interested to view a gear setup of one Ferrari that have raced to understand if was my setup wrong or(my suspect from time)if there is something in my gas pedal.

I think it is more likely that you were faster into turns and slower out, so you were entering straights a couple of mph down perhaps and would be slower all the way along it.

I tried Gareth's Enna setup as he was faster than me on the straights there. Looking at his replays it seems he just carries more corner speed than me and is a couple of mph faster all round that circuit than me. He used different gearing to me but I was no faster with his setup than mine, he just drove it better.

My Road America setup is on these pages, as are most of mine: http://www.jamesonline.net/gpl/downloads.php

Don't try my BRM setups though, I haven't really worked on them as I don't like the car.

The track is absolutely a fantastic one!
Unfortunately, I had no time to prepare myself for the race and I was just back home after a business trip (woke up at 3.50 in the morning...)
Hoping it would be better next time.
Cheers

@Mike
Thanks for sharing your setup page!

Thank you Miner2049.Now i study your setup. I have a comparison between one yor lap similar to mine where is possible to see the difference on the straight, particularly on the last but i'm not able to upload the imagine.

Great track, Congrats Gareth, nice race in the BT7! Congrats to Czary and Mike also. I really do enjoy this track, but I did not practice enough either. I was able to practice thirty minutes before qually, but I needed much more time to get up to speed.

I had an embarrassing moment at the start of the race. I am sorry to Fran for moving into your car at the start. I hope that it did not cause you damage. I will check my blind spot next time.

Early in the race, I was lucky that several other drivers fell off the track allowing me to catch up again. I had a nice view of the battle between Mike, Czary, and David (I think), but I made a costly mistake while trying to keep up. I fell off the track a number of times. I missed the apex on every corner repeatedly. I was lucky to stay ahead of Fran. That was the moment for me when I put my head down (as they say). I was able to close the gap to David in the last few laps. The slip stream from his car helped me get the fast lap. Thanks David for that, and for the battle on the last lap. My race was much more memorable because of the last lap.

As far as my setup, it was not good in every corner, but it allowed me to accelerate very early out of the important corners. The Ferrari really put a smile on my face. I wish that I was as prepared at the start of the race as I was at the finish.

Good Race,
Walter

Welcome back Czary. wd Walt on the FL and to podium. Bad luck Fabio.

I'm going to miss the next race as I will be on holiday in Northern France, taking in Rouen, among other places.

Had a few laps at Bridgehampton and it took me a while to get the setup right but its a fun track and there are a couple of slippery corners and the sand is deadly if you get a wheel in it, much like Zandvoort.

I kept going wide and getting sucked off.  ;D ;D

The race was absolutley fantastic ! I knew this track from... Indycar Racing 2 times ! This time in GPL'65 it was full of nostalgia to race on it. Fortunately the mistake I've made was early on the race and I was able to finish second !  :o (Also much thank to the other drivers mistakes).

To my surprise (please remember, that my last GPL experience was early 2000's) lags and wraps are very light, if any, on today's network ! (btw. I'm using the cheapest 3G available in Poland  ;D)
Looking forward for the next races and see you soon on the sandy and bumpy roads of B'hampton !
