Thanks Pete, the opening message is still set to Group C, but that's no biggy.

Very tricky track to drive, very narrow and many elevation changes. Still lots of fun tho.
TC and ABS on the Porsche are a huge benefit here, as it's so much easier to drive because of that.

Will be an interesting race  :D

Thought I'd throw a curveball in and try the Ginetta as well  ;D

Times so far:
(ABS & Traction turned off for the Porka and G55)

Ginetta G55 GT4         : 1:33.594
Cayman GT4 Clubsport : 1:33.777
Maserati GranTurismo   : 1:34.386

All are on fairly stock setups with only tire pressures and brake balance played with.
I must admit the G55 drives almost like it should be a Kunos car and sounds fantastic from external cams.

Out of the 2 we're supposed to be driving I'll probably take the Masser as I suspect the Porsche will be over-subscribed here.
I worth saying that the track is excellent, There's only one corner that isn't quite 'right' and that may simply be down to it having been resurfaced fairly recently (2 years back I now realise :o )

There might be but you need to provide links to the version people need to download.

I was driving the latest version (6.1).
You can find it here:
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/ginetta-gt4.14572/ (http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/ginetta-gt4.14572/)

I've got the Maserati down to something resembling Jeffers time now after playing in the setup for an hour or 2. Should get a bit closer with some more playing.  ;D

Also I recommend you try this circuit with the MX5 cup cars, they're perfect for it!  8) (787 was fun too)

Tricky track, especially with the Maserati. And quite fun despite the car being a sluggish tank  ;D

Is it just me or is anyone else getting launched in the air at that last twisty section?  8)

If you take the twisty section properly, it should be fine, try to take a bit of curb and it's 4 wheels in the air  ;D

Now installed on the server, please could someone test it works as expected. Assuming Jeff has no objections I'll add it in to the race announcement and include it in the race Wednesday.

I've done 3 wheels through there in real life - Never been daft enough to try and jump the kurb in my own car though!  ;D

Pete, I'll take the Ginetta for a spin once I've walked the mutt

You can add the 2016 Formula 1 car for all I care  ;D

I'd drive that  ;)

Might have to give that Ginetta a go tomorrow as I really don't like the feel of the Maserati.

Ginetta seems to work fine. The ABS makes it much faster!
Only car I haven't taken on yet is the Porka - pretty sure that works though

All three cars are so different. The Maserati feels like a monster, a real handfull that requires lots of focus but also very rewarding. Probably the most challenging and raw car out of the three. The Porsche is the other end. Very delicate, subtle, not a lot of theatre but very precise. It reminds me of an Elise and so I really like it and will my my choice. The Ginetta is in the middle, not as raw as the Maserati but a little wild still.

All three cars are great and it would be brilliant to run a mini series on UK circuits using these cars. Brands Indy, Cadwell, Silverstone National, Donington and Thruxton.

Just tried a few laps in the Ginetta and it felt the nicest to drive physics wise. It's also way faster than the other 2 after a few laps.

EDIT: With a bit more laps in the Maserati i can get a bit closer to the ginetta, but it's a lot more hard work.
I'll pick the Maserati, as it's the most challenging one without the ABS and TC. That downshift bleep will get me tho  ;D

I turned it off completely, though there seems to be some settings in the ini file to atleast get rid off the image appearing, don't know if it can only turn the bleep off aswell.

do i still need to install the ginetta, even if I am going to race the porka?

The Ginetta is alot of fun here. Turning the TC off it kinda felt like a rally race on this tight twisty track  ;D

Gave the Maserati a chance again after I figured the track out abit more, doesn't actually feel that bad, even though it doesn't have TC it's still quite stable on the throttle ( just not on the brakes  :P )
Wherear the Ginetta it was some pretty cool sliding all over the place. Probably wouldn't go well with the tyres  ;D

I'll see what I'll pick tomorrow, though I'm guessing it's gonna be the Maserati aswell  8)

do i still need to install the ginetta, even if I am going to race the porka?

Yep, can't get on the server if you don't have it

Not sure if I will get time to install the various downloads needed for this race or be too jet lagged but will try and join in if I can  :)

Was actually a pretty fun race in the end.

Right from the start Matteo, Jeffrey and me were quite close, with Matteo pulling away slightly each lap in the Ginetta.

Then after a few laps I saw Jeffrey practicing some grassgliding, had to go on the brakes in the middle of the corner or it would've ended his new hobby. Though "braking in the corner" translated to Maserati's means doing a 180  ;D

After some laps I knew that Matteo was too quick and just decided to wait on Jeffrey to have some battle. Lasted a while until he got stuck in the tyres  ::)

Pretty fun rollercoaster track, should be good with some other cars aswell.

Really enjoyed that a lot and the Porsche Cayman GT4 is incredible. So much fun. Had a good race as well, qualified 5th and finished 3rd with Eck closing on me ever so slightly each lap.

As for this track, a spec race here would be excellent. Nothing too fast so you need to work at it to get the maximum through the twisties and slow enough to allow overtaking opportunities. Something like the MX5 Cup or even the Cayman GT4.

One race too early for me, I was a space cadet with jet lag and really couldn't get into it. Retired at mid distance  :-[

I acquired that new hobby because the clamping system of the T500RS is absolutely rubbish and due to the bumpy nature of the track, my wheel bounced off my desk and I ended up with the wheel on my lap. Luckily the spin was long enough for me to put it back on the desk and try to secure it again.
The whole race i was pushing the wheel back onto the desk, as it kept moving towards me.

After some laps I knew that Matteo was too quick and just decided to wait on Jeffrey to have some battle. Lasted a while until he got stuck in the tyres  ::)

Got my bumper against the tyres and couldn't move because of that  ::). Car was hardly damaged, but the tyres just didn't let go and after 3 seconds or so, the game put me back to the pitlane (which apparently is a setting somewhere).
Drove out of the pitlane thinking, great bug as I am still infront of Maikel, but then I saw my name drop down the list :(. Maikel and I went side by side towards the first braking zone and I braked at my normal spot, but the game also gave me fresh new and stone cold tyres when I warped to the pits, so I just went straight as I had no braking power.

Race was a complete mess for me, and ironically, this one gets a resultspage  :P.

To avoid this kind of issue, make this change in the file options.ini that you find in this path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg/options.ini
Open the file with Wordpad and change the value "AUTOFLIP_RECOVERY=1" to AUTOFLIP_RECOVERY=0. That won't cause any mismatch online or "alert" with anticheat like Simracingtools.

About my race. I was forced to take the Ginetta because I experienced a strange bug on this track. Every time I did try to modify the setup with Maserati or Porsche, on the first button on the left (the one with the steering wheel image) appeared the message: "Invalid setup", so I could not change fuel load and with 30 litres I wouldn't have finished the race. Unfortunately the Ginetta was too fast for the rest of the field on this track, so my race became just an exercise of hotlapping.
In any case I was really happy to race again with some of you after more than 4 years. SROUK is always a good place for racing :)
Hope to see you for the next.
Bye

Thanks, I've changed that now. But I think I would still be stuck in the tyres anyway, as it never let go  ;D,

If you haven't already, check the ride heights in the setup, if they are red, then that means the setup is invalid and you can't go on track. Maybe other settings also cause it, but I've only seen it with ride height:
