I am experiencing problems with the 69x mod.

Gem appears to have a touch of demetia and I cannot launch the 69x mod offline.

Can someone confirm which 60fps version I should be using, I currently have a choice between 60fpsv2 or 60FPS newmod. Then of course there is the 60fpsaiv1.

From memory 69x mod only likes 60fpsv1, anything else throws a fit.

60FPSv1 and make sure you have Vsync turned on! GPL does really horrible things when you have it turned off in 60FPS mode for me.
(Almost as bad as when I forget to disable it and run at 36fps,,,)

aha!!!  the absence of the 60fpsV1 from my GEM menu might explain my problem. To save time.....anyone have a download link for that?

A fun, but ridiculous series, ended in a funny, but ridiculous manner.
After Tim's lap1 hairpin spin, I was away with Clive. I didn't have much top speed and was easy to catch on the long straight. I had the big advantage of the Ferrari and sort of kept in touch if Clive had a couple of spins. So he did and I exited the hairpin on the last lap in front with a couple of seconds to spare. An unlikely win? Oh no, the engine died. Reset and thought I'd better do the SnG in the pits before the line. Clive was lurking half way up the straight wanting a race to the line, but I needed the pits and we tangled. Clive continued through the pits for the well deserved win. I managed my SnG and crossed the line only tenths in front of Tim, who was half a minute behind half a lap ago.
Grats to Tim for dominating the championship with six wins and three (nearly four) seconds.

Think this race I underestimated how difficult it would be hustling the Lotus 49 around here. Barely managed a couple of laps without crashing, spinning etc. Eventually quit out of frustration.

Congrats to Clive, Andy & Tim for the podium spots and to Tim for a dominant championship win.

Thanks Clive for organising this series. It's been good fun trying the circuits in reverse. Did enjoy Mosport especially  ;D.

Grats to Tim on mastering this backwards anniversary series and for showing his skill in different cars on what were really, new circuits.

Thanks to all who took part in something that started as a crazy idea, but was made possible by the help of other members who are far more computer aware than I am. Thanks to all who helped with this.

I should have had a relatively easy win after Tim had his lap 1 spin. I allowed myself a lap or two to get some heat in the tyres before attacking Andy's Ferrari on the main straight where I clearly had a speed advantage. One trial run that I aborted, and a lap where I ensured I was just a little closer out of the Esses before taking the inside line for Peralta.
Provided that I kept things neat and tidy and did not outbrake myself into some corners I was slowly able to ease away from Andy, who in turn was stretching away from 3rd place. Once I had got myself beyond the slipstream zone I was able to relax.... and get a little bored.

So, instead of just putting in the consistent laps that would take me to the champagne, I started searching for faster and faster laps. A couple of half spins put Andy perilously close to my tail pipes and I had to seriously concentrate for several laps to escape again. Not easy when you know that the car behind is going to be relentless and reliable in its pace.

Obviously I must be a bit simple, because once I had a gap again guess what......yup I went for a fastest lap!! what a  muppett!! only to do a proper spin and allow Andy past with only 5 laps to go. The joke now is that I actually posted my 3 fastest laps chasing Andy, which might be a lesson for me lol.
On the last lap I was getting close at the hairpin and was wondering if my extra straight line speed + a little slipstream might make for a close finish at the line. Then I have to say a allowed a groan to escape my lips when I saw the flash of flame and smoke from the rear of Andy's Ferrari, that was rotten luck.
In fact I felt so bad that I waited for him on the finish straight as I felt he deserved the win more than I did. But as he drew level he turned into the pits, taking me with him!!! Tim, you don't know how close you were to getting the win lol!!!

Once I had the car setup  sorted I quite enjoyed this track in reverse although some corners felt painfully slow compared to the normal direction.

I hope this reversed series has given some fun for those who took part and who knows, maybe there is a place for one or two of these tracks in the regular seasons?
