With the assistance of Geoffers, this years GTL Christmas Special will be a UKGTL -v- Nogrip competition.

The final date has yet to be decided upon but it is very likely to be either Friday 29th or Saturday 30th December.

The evening will consist of three rounds of racing, with each race lasting approximately 30mins. Each race will feature a Jaguar car from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Each team will have it's own designated car skin.

Race One - Jaguar D-Type @ Rouen-Les-Essarts (1955)

Race Two - Jaguar E-Type (Lightweight RHD) @ Oulton Park International Circuit (1965)

Race Three - Jaguar XJS @ Road America (1978)

The scoring will be based on the best "n" drivers from both teams where "n" = number of drivers from the smallest team contingent.

More details will follow...................

Happy Christmas

Planning isn't quite the term I'd use. It's just the series that were squeezed out of Season 18  ::)

Still enjoying my spring/summer retreat with the mrs, I stumbled upon this post and instantly felt a strong yearning for home. Isn't the Christmas season a wonderful time to look forward to? I'll be there barring unforeseen circumstances. Will probably drive in No Grip colours as they are in desparate need of slow back markers.
Like to thank the usual suspects for yet another great looking upcoming event.

Cheers, (senior)Dan

ps. and ,oh yes, like to say hi to anyone who rembers me.

Hi Dan  ;D

I think that we all look forward to your return and having you racing with us again, fully refreshed from your summer retreat. I just hope that your long stay, in what we all suspect is a secret ninja training camp, does not bring you back even faster than when you left??!!   ;)

I'll throw my hat in the ring, tentatively, but I'm having controller issues at the moment, waiting on a new one and hoping it's as accurate as the one I'm having problems with (loose wire somewhere).

Hope you can make it. Event details here https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=14530.msg264710#msg264710

As I don't have an account at NG I'll have to go on the UKGTL team.  I'll join Dan at the back end...

Guys,
I can't tell you how sorry I am but I have to give this event a miss. Been looking forward to this so much but family matters quite unexpectedly require my presence elsewhere Saturday night.

Hope you will all  enjoy a wonderful Christmas Special.

Cheers, (senior)Dan
