Finally got some late night laps in last night as have never raced here before. It's not bad but not that stimulating to drive, I prefer a bit of elevation in tracks but should make for a good race if I get time to learn it   :-\
Still smarting from my catalogue of disasters at Riverside, why does it always go wrong at the races you most look forward too?  :(

Couldn't believe I was 7th on the grid, virtue of the one lap qually I guess. Usual start and lost loads of places. Good battle with Mark until he put the willys up me when he went up my inside (ohhh errr). Found myself at the back after being knocked off(you know who you are), but then picked up a place from Frex pulling over with a problem and then Stefan and Apex going wide allowing me to sneak up the inside - thx fellas!

The snail did good  ;D Happy with a non-last finish so 6th was a dream for me. Well done to the podium and thanks to all who attended :)

A good race that,  :) only be-smirched by my usual bad moment that costs a load of time and places  ::)

Had a great start and gained a place or two. Chased the front 4 hard as I dared for first 10 minutes and had a healthy gap back to 6th who didn't seem able to gain on me. Then had an irritating spin in a totally bizarre place for no rhyme or reason and lost two places  >:(
Then only 2 corners later watching my mirrors too much I ran wide onto the slippery gras at turn 1 and lost 17 seconds, 2nd from last on rejoining the track   :'( hero to zero in two corners  ::)

Then had good fun fighting my way back up through the field including a good multi lap chase of Chris who eventually cracked under the pressure  ;D fought my way back to 7th so not too bad but should have had at least 5th without my drop of the ball.
Another lost result but fun all the same. :)

Not a good race tonight: burnt the qualy at the end of the lap and started 10th on the grid.

After a good start (7th at the end of first lap) I made some good lap reaching 6th and staying very close to the guys in front of me, then made some errors, losing contact... making other errors ... finished alone on 11th position.

@Sutol (if you are Chris T.  :) ): (I know who I am) did you see the replay? I left plenty of space inside on T2 (instead of closing the turn as I could have done) to allow you to eventually overcome me, I stayed on the outside of the turn and on the curbe, but when the curbe was finishing I naturally follow the ideal linee on the asfalt (instead of going on the grass), but in that moment we had a contact (still being in front of you by half car), unfortunately you lost control ... I wouldn't say I knocked you off...

Thanks to all attendants!
Unfortunately next one I will not be able to join ... so meet you soon somewhere on a race track!

Ciao
Alberto

Wasn't expecting much here as I tried the track yesterday and was getting nowhere. But tonight it started to make sense, and is actually a lot of fun to drive.

Usual rubbish start, but with others falling off I eventually found myself in a heady P4 - only to spin at T1 and get stuck on the outside of the turn. It was a tricky place to re-join safely, so sat and watched the whole grid go by. Caught up with another car, (Postal?) and had a good fight for the rest of the race. Eventually got by at T1, only for my gearbox to give up a couple of upshifts later. Good fun though.

Congrats podium.

Steam and Windows updates don't go well together. Had to reboot the pc before qually started. Luckely it werent many updates this time, so i could at least make the start.

Started well and i think i was chasing Larry when his RSR was showing tire smoke into T2. This caught me out a tiny bit, was offline an spun. After rejoining i had an entertaining battle first with Frex and later Chris and Larry. Got past them with one lap remaining, but my ambitions where greater than my talent and went a bit wide, so Chris could get by again. Fair and hard racing, good one. And indeed nice result Pete! Next one on the podium then?!

Had a sloppy qually and had to start 4th.

First lap hda some close fights around me, but the laps after that were terrible form my part. Lost loads of time and saw the top 3 drive away. Was even more heartbreaking to see MJ behind me closely and keeping up  :'( ;D .

Was hoping that the top 3 would start to battle and lose time. At some point fmg and Felix lost time and I was back up to the pack, with Maikel in the lead. I thought with him in front now, he would drive off. Soon he did drive off, but mostly off the track  ;D. Were some scary moments when his car plowed from the grass back on track and drift infront of me, should be a nice view in the replay :D.

When Felix was in front, I wasn't able to close the gap and could only hold on a bit, so I needed to focus more on FMG behind me.

Did anybody else see cars briefly disappear?

I had a strange thing where cars would flicker in and out if they took a lot of kerb. I was using the Rift, 1st time is quite some time so assumed it was this somehow.

Jeffery this is a problem I've noticed on this track, especially when cars are on the kerbing.

Then I'm sure it's this track. I saw it at CORE when they used it and thought it was a network issue, but when I saw it happen here as well I was quite sure it would be the track. Guess I won't be picking this track anymore until it is fixed, strange the track gets such high ratings with such a big bug in it. :-\

Yeah I had the flicker/disappearing cars ahead too so definitely a track issue. Naturally that's what caused me to spin  :whistling:

First few laps were pretty fun. I was close behind Felix until he and and fmg touched and I was gifted the lead. Thought it be a nice gesture after a few laps to give the position back  ( had absolutely nothing to do with the loss of grip in the rear, I just went off track on purpose  8) ). Thought I go for a fair rejoin behind fmg but the car went way sideways when I braked. Managed to keep it in front off Jeffrey for a lap or 2 until the rears completely lost all their grip. After the car was a pain to drive. Last 5 laps or so the thing was almost undriveable. Not sure if the car didn't  appreciate my driving style or if it was my borrowed setup.  ;D

Oh well, guess I'll have to make some free time to practise at Mugello to secure my lead  ;D

Lap 1 (by me) and incidents (by somebody, don't know who, but thanks :)) reviewed and judged.
