Onboard lap in one of those pesky fast Lambos  ;)

I was going to make this an endurance round but I think as its season end and attendance has had the usual drop off, a spirited close fought sprint is a better option to sign it out  :)

Can i suggest for next season that the enduros are spaced out across the whole season.

you can suggest what you like if you want to run it  ;D

The endurance rounds are based on where the real series uses them generally. This Blancpain series I have ran for two seasons combines the sprint series and endurance series into one and I try to follow the real calendar chronologically, so alas you do not always get a uniform spread.

First post edited, 24 laps on the Moto layout based on a 1:42 race lap time  :)

That's a pity, would have preferred another endurance round.

btw: I haven't done a lap yet, but looking at rsrlivetiming 1:42 seems to be pretty fast for race laps

1:42 Race was set by our very own JR in a McLaren 650 in the first season of Blancpain. He did a 1:41 qually time.

40mins is enough with a sub 20 car grid in this heat. Endurances are better run early in the series when you get bigger grids - before all the quitters give up. ;)

I have ideas for a future WEC style series and that will predominantly be endurance length rounds, with alien 'platinum or gold' drivers being allowed to race LMP1 leaving us mortals or quick-ish drivers to fight it out in the GT class.  :)

Hmm.. maybe the nissan would have suited me better! Realised driving it just how precise and measured you need to drive a mid-rear engined car as its more of nife edge balancing the front and rear and not overdriving it. Nissan felt almost liberating lol

I'm loving the Nissan - so much more enjoyable.
And because it can be pushed more with out killing me I'm probably not much slower than when in the Lambo - possibly faster even on the right tracks!

I'm in (obviously)  ;)

Not practiced yet though.

I am only 50/50 able to make this race  :'( got a works corporate doo in the afternoon so depends what time I get home and in what state   ;D
Be a real shame not to duke it out with my nemesis shark and Fmg for the final points standings  :'( but still a chance I'll be there.

The gt3's are fun around here. Loving the detail in the tracks running 'ultra'settings  8)

Is this the last race  :o?  When planning the porsche series I counted the flag spaces on the standings pagr,  which means there won't be a race planned next Wednesday. I'm not going to put all races a week forward,  as people might not expect that now.

Possibility for a fun event,  maybe test one of the other series suggestions,  like gt40 vs Porsche?

This is the last race (round 10). Not sure why there is an 11th flag placeholder there, Dave must have put one too many  :-\

That could do for starters,  I also note that the Reliant Robin has been updated to work with the latest build of AC.....   ;D

Last corner is deceptive, you feel like you should be able go through there quicker than you can but end up understeering off!

I downshifting in apex from 5 to 4 and the car going unstable and i trying to catch her every time. Anyone tryed to not downshift here and continue on 5 gear? Not good way?

Avoid to brake and/or downshifting with two tyres on the grey stuff external to the kerbs before that corner might be helpful. I lost the control of the car a few times there yesterday braking on that grey stuff. I do that corner slightly braking and downshifting from 5th to 4th gear BEFORE the corner, not at the apex. It's quite a nonsense to downshift a gear at the apex there mate  ;)

Weird bug here.

Can't get into the server, it just stays loading the last car. Even does this when trying offline, stays at loading car. Have to sign out to even close AC.

Hmmm.... second time I've had it, first time was with the Porsche GT1 at Mugello.

Hope I can fix it in time  8)

I got in with 3 minutes of qually left by turning off all the apps in the General settings of AC. so one of them might be broken!

That was a very fortunate race for me. Despite turning up relatively early (for me), hoping to get in 10 mins practice and then qually, I only got in with 3 mins of qually left. Luckily for me my Mugello setup worked fine, with a couple of very quick tweaks and I started 4th from back? (10th) whilst I was trying to work out how much fuel I needed. Decided to overfill cause I was not sure and off we went. Got past loads of people at the start and then chased FMG for ages in his Nissan which was so quick down the straights and so rubbish in the slow corners, but good out of the final 2 turns I thought I was never going to get past. Then he made a mistake on the final turn and that got me close enough for a divebomb (sorry it was my only chance I had to take it). FMG did well to give me the space I need to hurtle through and despite a wobble the lap after I never looked back, despite the tyres getting slower and slower and slower (so I was imagining must be everyone elses). Was doing 2 seconds a lap slower at the end, was quite painful, but to come how the first non-alien, in 5th was a VERY good night for me and my first race without a full spin in a while!

I turned on all the apps except SetupMarket after the race and tried practice session and it let me in, so either it's the SetupMarket app, or it was just a temporary glitch with the AC servers or something!?

CYA guys - i hope will join in next series!  :)
PS, All my apps was working prpoperly here.

Same here, turning off all apps did it for me. Then I turned on the most important ones and they worked aswell. Strange as last Sunday everything was working fine.

Oh well, managed to throw together a setup which felt surprisingly good around this track. Definitely going to save that one for future races  ;D

Quali was mwah as the softs werent really doing their thing  :P

Race was pretty epic. Had a good start and stayed right on Matteo's tail...for about 12 or so laps  ;D
Very tricky to overtake here, especially a Lambo. Was waiting for the one little mistake which would cost him some speed. At one point he went slightly wide at Campsa which allowed me to go side by side. Managed to drift past in the end. After that I knew Gavino was just to quick and far ahead so I just tried to keep the off-road experiences to a minimum.  ;D
It was great chasing that Lambo though. Trying out different lines to see what would work best and trying to think up a strategy ( which ended up being "waiting for a mistake" )

Time for some drifting around in oldie cars  8)

What a cruel end I had to my series  :'( last lap of the last round I get a disconnect  ::)

The server was awful from minute I got on there with choppy stuttering constantly. So I wasn't able to get near my PB's nor have a good qually. Did notice Gavino has a high ping of 140, not sure whether that was it but others said same thing and one or two has problems joining.

Race was somehow still pretty great but ultimately ruined for me from start to finish due to the stutters and weird warping cars.
Got a good start and was chuffed to get ahead of FMG but then in t1 I saw Felix warp into Nfsw across my nose. I was so put off I slowed and went wide allowing FMG and then Simon to pass up my inside as I couldn't work out what was happening.
Took me a few laps to get back in my stride and hunt down Simon ahead with a string of '44 laptimes whilst he was trying to get by FMG. He then got by him just as I closed right up  ::) this then meant I had to assault the pink derrier for lap after lap  :fencing: it was so tough with the nissans grunt on the main straight and many times I lined him up for the overtake only to lose on grunt or have to avoid his sliding butt in some corners.  :sweatdrop:  Nfsw joined the fray twice and there was some great close racing going on with several of us  :thumbup1: something I've loved in this series.
Then on the final lap whilst once again slipstreaming FMG, his car took to the air like a flying pink pig only for me to quickly realise I had discod....cruel  :hang:

Big congrats to Gavino as our worthy series champion and all who raced until the end.  :thumbup1:

That was another great race!

Started from pole after my best lap ever, I've lost the lead after few meters. Seems like Gavino was possessed by Valtteri Bottas at the start  ;D ;D

I discharged the soft option, cause the rear left temp was not manageable at all for the entire lenght of the race, and with the medium compound I was on a pace of 1.43.6/1.43.8 yesterday.
Despite I was quite pushing a lot to keep Maikel at a safety distance before the straight, I never managed to put a small gap on him and I could really feel his breathe on my neck  ;D
No dinner for Maikel this evening before the race I guess, so he was cooking my Lambo at low flames for about 12 laps, with me sweating like a fountain to keep him behind. Then at the Campsa I did a bad line losing some speed and with Maikel side by side I did my chicken move going slightly long and wide at the Caixa braking.
My race was practically over if he had escaped before the straight, but that was exactly what happened. Maikel flew away lap after lap, gaining even some seconds on Gavino iduring the last laps.
His pace was brilliant and my tyres had a sudden drop of their performance a couple of laps later than Maikel passed me, so it was impossible to do something better than this.
I knew that before or later I had made a mistake and Maikel was simply faster than me during all the race. Very deserved 2nd place for him both in this race and in the championship. A great driver to fight against.

Thanks to all the people who joined this last race.
Grats to that damned fast Sardinian man named Gavino for the championship.
Thanks to Mark and every person who put his time in organizing these races.

See you next week I guees if I won't melt before  ;D

I was very fast in the first half of the race. In the second one I've tried only to avoid mistakes, and well. Mission accomplished.

Congratulations to all the drivers, and to all the people that let us to have fun.

The top 3 worthy finishers in the championship :-

Champion - Gavino
2nd place runner up - Maikel
3rd place - Manteos

 :notworthy: :thumbup1:

Despite my own series being blighted by technical problems and the odd first lap punt  ::) I had some memorable battles and chases along the way which I thoroughly enjoyed.  The cars looked awesome and the grids were generally well attended, so thanks to all that raced and thanks to all that helped out in one way or another and special thanks to Pete for server duties  :-* :thumbup1:
