Title: SimRacing.org.uk now using HTTPS
Post by: Dave 'Gizmo' Gymer on July 15, 2017, 09:40:35 AM +0100
I've just turned on HTTPS for the whole site. Depending on your browser, you may see warnings about 'mixed content' as a lot of the images in the forum come from (unsigned) HTTP URLs, and you should no longer see warnings about entering your password on an unprotected page.

Please report any weirdness which appears to be above and beyond the normal levels. ;)

What does this do for us? Posting on here is effectively public anyway, its not like i'm posting up my credit card info!

Well for one thing, Google have started downranking sites not using HTTPS. It also means your forum password can't be sniffed when accessing the forums on public networks like WiFi hotspots.
