Haven't done a lap either, but I didn't see Maikel's name, so there isn't a setup yet  ;D

Me and Stefan were on last night and several drivers joined us but nobody from here. In fact only 3 Srouk drivers had set a time, guess they are all naturally gifted on here and don't need practise  :whistling:  ;D

Its Monza, an incredibly boring track.

It's not a great track for practise but always makes for a great 'race' track. Well suited to these cars too  :)

I'll be out for a dinner, so I won't race tomorrow. Maybe there's a little chance I will be able to join the last race. We will see.
Have fun guys  ;)

Thanks  :-*

In before my tyres are inflated like balloons and springs are welded tight  ;D.

There was a small patch (20mb) which has: - Various cars have been updated in their suspension bottom bumpstop values.

No idea if that includes this thing?

Don't know what to say...I'm really ouf of luck this year...
Five minutes before the qualifying my gas pedal broke. I have no idea what happened, but ingame the car even accelerated while I didn't press the pedal and on straights the acceleration went down even when the pedal was fully pressed. Therefore the race was horrible, I overshot many corners, because the car was still accelerating when I braked and on the corner exits I went too wide :-X
Very disappointed after losing the race that way.

::) I missed chicane end of main straight and went through barriers. Didn't affect anyone, just saying, don't want to be seen as cheating.

Great race that turned out with just a couple of mistakes to many on my part  ;D

Start went good from pole but I almost overshot the first corner but I just made it and it turned into a nice gap with Jeffrey already. I had him close on my tail first laps until I had a wobble all the way throughout Ascari. Then I got to hunt him down  for the first half of the race  8)
A couple of position swaps and a lot of side by side racing ( kinda reminded me of a certain F3 race  ;D ) I finally managed to get by and create a gap of about a second, until I just completely lost car at Lesmo 1 for some reason  ???
7 seconds down and I had about 25 minutes to get back to the front runners. I knew mister consistent was probably to far ahead but I had Felix in my sights  :P
Last few laps again a lot of side by side racing and trying to get by. Until on the last lap at Ascari, where we were going in almost door to door and I just braked abit sooner and try to get a better exit and Felix just took too much inside curb which spun him around. A shame as it would've made for an intense finish for 2nd place  ;D

After a goodish practice session the day before I was confident for the race. Qualified well, but that's about it it. Awful start as usual, and then drove as if I'd never seen Monza or the car before. Very disappointing race for me, was expecting so much more.

Poor result from me, only managed 7th.  :( disappointing after doing regular 1:49's in practise.

Was dog tired for tonights race again and it was costing me the odd 10th here and there resulting in my race laps being 1 sec slower than my practise laps with same fuel  :( meant I just couldn't stay with Shark and nsfw as the race wore on. Enjoyed the first 20mins when I was chasing the pair of them with ChrisR also closing me down but after that they eeked away.
Didn't make any mistakes other than worn tyres nearly having me off twice but kept it on the grey stuff.
Just couldn't keep up consistent 1:50's as I made a tactical error of using my qualy setup but with med tyres. My slightly stiffer race setup was better and more consistent with heavy fuel but I panicked when I realised I hadn't worked out race fuel on the grid  :o and chose wrong setup   :wetfish:

Decent race though. :)

Decided to try the softs during qually with 40L of fuel, because I was thinking of using them for the race. I wanted to just drivethe whole 15 minutes in a row and see the wear, but the tyre wear bar was gone  ::). Not sure if it's an app bug, or tyre wear is off in qually :P. But with 4 minutes to go, I was a weird spin in Parabolica, so I went out again with less fuel...and spun again. Had only 1 attempt after that and was able to just get infront of Felix.

Was a bit cautious at the start which gave Maikel a 1 second lead after the first chicane. He then had a bit of a moment in Ascari. I lifted off to slot back behind him, but Maikel was also cautious with the rejoin, so I thought: don't mind if I do. With Maikel's pace, he was behind me in no time. We spend half a lap side by side 2 laps in a row, which also reminded me of the F'3  ;D.

After ge got past for the second time, I made a mistake and the gap became 1,5 seconds. But it seems Maikel's car was allergic to leading and he had that odd spin at Lesmo, gifting me the lead again  :-*.

With Felix between me and Maikel, I was hoping that would give me a bit of a buffer. They seemed to have an epic battle as well :).

I was instructed to meet the mrs and her parents for a drink at my local drinking hole.. so i did, then they ordered food and i knew that i wasnt making it for the race.. we finished up at 20:20.. we said our goodbyes and i drove home... spirited, ran upstairs, pc on, steam on, downloaded public client and boom. In with a minute or 2 of qually left.

Started from the back i just gingerly made my way through the pack as not to disturb anyone, im concious of the ongoing championship and wouldnt want to get involved in a battle and messing it up for someone..

Caught gymer but spun at ascari, a couple passed but i managed to get my place back, i was closing 4th and 5th down at a rapid pace but wasnt any time left in the race to get past.

Im happy, cant expect more from no practise :)

Edit; setup uploaded to ptracker just for you  :-*

In the end I didn't use it, it was too loose for me and I don't like them like that  :whistling: .

What I did steal from you, was your line through Parabolica. I thought you took a tighter exit to break the tow, but for some reason that line was about 0.150 faster than the "normal" line. How on earth is that possible, as it makes no sens to me and how did you find that out  ;D?

I've almost always driven that line I think  ;D   I just try out loads of different lines to see whats best. Somehow this was faster, though I still find it strange aswell.

Probably quicker because you don't really lose out any speed keeping to a tighter line in these cars.
