Practice: 20:00 BST (30 mins)
Qualifying: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ 40 Minutes

Cars allowed: Any car from "GTR3" class

Track: Shanghai GP
Time of Day Setting: Afternoon

Start: Manual rolling start with formation lap
Tyre wear: x1
Fuel consumption:  x1
Pit-stops: none required

Server: Simracing.org.uk
Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Tracks for this series
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap[/quote]

Round 1 of the autumn GT3 series starts this weekend, remember, you can now swap between cars as many times as you want during the series (just a pity there is no Aston Martin available  :( )

by the time I got my pc sorted there was only about 5 mins praccy left  >:( . I hadn't had time to do any practice for this event so spent the first half of the race finding my braking points. Pity as I might have been a bit closer to Picnic if I had been able to do an hour or so practice and try some of the different cars out.

My to go-to cars i want to jump straight in are the M6 and the 650S but i'm coming to the conclusion the 650S is not a nice car to drive. Its too different on entry (understeer) and exit (oversteer). I'm sure the 12C handles nicer but never got round to doing back to back. Saying that, i dont know why or how you drive it SRW. Same goes for Apex and the Corvette, that cars evil!

Seem now i can only drive the big German barges, the Bentley isnt too far from the M6. riding the wave of torque and driving it quite lazily works well. Still way too much torque though the first corner sequence was hurting me ever lap. The long straight played ot its strength tho.

With Pete dropping back even just controlling the car was still fun out on my own. It doesnt like those long corners!
