Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

This track is superb for the NSU cars IMO, a very good pick Matt  :thumbup2:

I had a really good time tonight. Got me a good start and consequently some grand duels with Dieter trying to block his attacks from behind. Even with a damaged car he was faster than me :-)

Don't know about that, I think we all had a similar pace to be honest. But yeah, a good race - manic and a bit untidy (those cones were flying everywhere), but lots of fun!

Congrats front two.

First part of the race was tricky following Stig as his ping was around 60 but would disappear a lot around the lap. Also felt he was holding us up, but he was throwing the car around a bit, might have been setup!

Having got past Stig, with Dieter behind and Picnic closing the gap was getting worried but then It seemed Dieter dropped back and I had Picnic to defend from for the last 3rd of the race.

Never driven the track before but surprisingly fun.

I am having trouble with the results as it doesn't seem to like Stig's name in the results which has a ? in it
I have driven here for real earlier this year, on a mad hot day, and my front anti roll bar liks broke so the
car was a bit tailhappy.  :o

Stig is in the results as Stig Ravnb?l where ? is the o with a line though it, and I can't enter results
The results file is the only one now in the ftp page in the Opera browser.

He's raced with us loads in the past, so not sure I understand why now.

Ask Dave and give him access to the results file, I'm sure he can weave his usual magic and sort this out.

Ah yes, i noticed Stig's name had an o with two dots above it! Guess thats thrown the importer!

I don't know what to do about the name-spelling issue. In Danish my last name is Ravnbøl, and believe me the letter Ø always causes problems when I go abroad. Ø only exists in Denmark and Norway ( Norway was a part of Denmark for 300 years ) and we like to think it separates the Vikings from the Normans :-))

Anyway I came in 4th if I'm not mistaken .

It does appear as if the PM system might be having issues, it can't find Dave for me either.

I don't think the PM system is fundamentally broken.
It appears that SMF can't make up its mind about whether to represent a single quote in a name as ', ], or ]. The database held the second but the name matcher when sending a PM appear to be looking for the third. ::) It appears the only people affected were me and Jack O'Ferrall.

This is exactly why I tell developers to store the raw form of the data instead of guessing where it's going to be used and pre-encoding it. :P

As for the import failure, I'll look at it if somebody can upload the relevant output files to the replays site.

I can't find a place for R3E replays (as we don't save them)
I have copied the file from the ftp page in the Opera Browser on the server desktop to the desktop itself.
The name is 201710260903.xml

The xml appears to have ? in it, but that may be just my clients reading it and not understanding
the character...

Super, snarfed it and uploaded it here (https://replay.simracing.org.uk/index.php#rre) so no need to hang into that copy. The only question marks I can see are the standard XML declaration at the beggining.

and if I read it from a web browser it reads fine. But, when I try to import the results I get a database error with ? in the name

Okay, so there was a hack left over from before the forum was converted to UTF-8 to deal with lobby names with non-ASCII characters which was now causing problems. Removed it and all is well. :)
