Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Note early race start.

I might give this a go if only to check if everything works for SROUK. Don't worry, I'll start at the back and be very sweet.  :)

Noob question:
I assume all times on here are BST?

I was going to ask why there are multiple threads for each event but I figured out it's a thread a race.

Hope you do attend as our numbers have been down in recent weeks due to holidays and illness etc.
Please don't start at the back on purpose. Just race your race.
Yes all times are BST. We will tell you when times revert back to GMT.

Each race has it's own race announcement (thread).

I wanted to take the Nissan for this round but everytime I entered the online session it would load everyone then crash GTL when it came to me. This happened several times so I switched to my second race choice (Porsche) and managed to get in ok. Looks like I need to re-install the Nissan car pack.
Pretty quiet race at the back of the field but some moments of interest when one of the faster chaps had a mishap and I was able to keep up with them but that didn't last long  ::)

Nice to be back, had some good laps with Dominick he seemed faster on the straights.
I did wonder about the Nissan as earlier tried to connect and had problems, also on first attempt logging in to race, offline fine.

Grats to Geoffers on win

Grats to Erling 2nd

Picked the Beemer for these races, as it was by far the quickest of the cars I tried.

Got pole by a fluke - Geoffers was substantially quicker in pre-race praccy, so something must have gone wrong in qual.  Had completely forgotten to practice starting in the BMW, so had to wing it.  Surprised to keep the lead - replay shows Geoffers much faster off the line, but then slowing - bogged down?

Held the lead for almost a lap before Geoffers got past.  Behind me Ziu suddenly vanished from view, and no one else was close, so could concentrate on the monumental task of keeping up with Geoffers.  Almost succeeded for most of the first half, but was driving beyond my abilities to do so.  When the gap dropped to under two secs, it apparently woke Geoffers up, for he suddenly upped the pace. At the same time, moderate tyre wear made itself felt, and as I was on the limit, I went over it, putting wheels outside the track and losing time. Gap went to 5 secs in a very short while.  Tried braking even later, in a futile attempt to keep up, only to spin into the kitty litter.  Any hope of closing the distance then quashed and had to settle for 2nd.  Grats to Geoffers for the win, and Roger for a convincing comeback in 3rd.

Had never raced the Skyline before so I thought I would do some practice in it & see how it compared with the 2002. After getting some sort of setup together it seemed to be about 2s a lap slower here. Didn't have the speed of the 2002 but seemed to corner a bit better & definitely had better brakes.

As the 2002 was a fair bit quicker I went with that for the first race. As Erling suspected I made mistakes on all my qually laps so started second & like Erling I forgot to practice a start, didn't give it enough revs & bogged the motor. Luckily held on to 2nd place & set off after Erling. First half a lap we were fairly even, but I gained ground in the second half & when he ran a little wide at the final turn I got a good drive up the hill & took the lead. Pulled a small gap on the next couple of laps before making a couple of mistakes allowing Erling to pull back a few tenths.

A couple of laps at 2.29.0 (fastest I had managed in the car!) opened the gap again before the gap suddenly jumped to 13s. Had the comfort of completing the race at a more relaxed pace & took the win.   ;D

Congrats to Erling & Rog on the podium.
