Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Well that went better than expected while it lasted!

Decided on a Ferrari for this race, but had not driven any of them before, so took the P4 for a few laps after the NG race on Sunday. Found the default setup virtually undriveable, the car all over the road. A few geometry changes got it roughly going where I wanted it to but I get lost with these cars that have infinite adjustments & give up once I have the car driveable. After about 15 laps & several off track excursions I settled with what I had & a best lap of 1.28.2.

Qually went Ok with some low 1.28s, miles off Ziu's times, & when I pulled a 1.27.1 from somewhere I called it a day & 4th on the grid. Was hoping to hang onto the coattails of Erling & Tony for a few laps if I could keep it on track with Ziu disappearing into the distance, was not planning on being in the lead at Copse. Anyway as I was in front I thought it best to get on with it & led for the first 3-4 laps until Ziu come past at Becketts. He had a couple of moments & we swapped places a couple of times before he started to pull away. Next lap Ziu spun at Becketts & I was back in front with Tony & Erling not too far behind, but the gap grew a lap or so later when all the guys behind must have made errors.

By now I had become comfortable with the car & was able to do regular 1.27s & was keeping Tony at a safe distance. Ziu was gaining but not as fast as I was expecting & when he passed Tony I was hoping to hang onto the lead for a few more laps. Then it went wrong, car suddenly snapped sideways under braking for Stowe & I was off the track into the void, race over. ::)

Congrats to the podium

I'm off to Oulton Park for the Superbike races next week, so cya all in 2 weeks at Le Mans.

Chortle. Missed this one as I am away this week.

I don't think anyone hates you Ziu, just like Tony said we have some rules or etiquette to limit things like
shouting at people during a race, so as to keep things from getting out of hand.

My rabbits are breeding, and I need to get rid of some of them  ::)

I had planned to take the Ford for this race but in testing I found it to be rather slow at corners. After testing several other alternatives I eventually settled on the Porker 917K. I had lost out on one race in this series due to holidays so I had a car in hand therefore I could take some risk's. I spent some time changing most thing in the default setup but did find the car quite nice in the corners provided you didn't go to early on the loud pedal. On the straights it was mucho rapido (sounds good too) but it required a good braking distance. Tyres were next to useless after 15-16 laps even though the wear wasn't to extreme but this could of been due to my setup. Qualy done with race fuel as I wanted all the track time I could get. Pleased with 3rd. Also pleased that I practised my starts in the pit area as a straight getaway was required with four cars abreast on the starting grid. I think I beat Geoffers to the first turn but then he passed me and I had to keep up with him. Lost it at Copse and was passed by everyman and his dog. So spent the next few laps catching and passing some other drivers. Pitted at half time and changed tyres and brimmed the tank. Ziu was long gone but Erling looked like he could be caught so set a few PB's in my attempt to reel him in. By the last few laps Erling was in sight and I was making up ground particularly at Woodcote where the 917K would corner like it was on rails even with worn rubber. Several times I was close enough to try a pass but made an error like running two wheels on the grass or having a tank slapper moment. Thus I had to recover the distance between us all over again. Then on lap 41 I was close to Erling thru Chapel Curve and he went slightly wide on the right clipping the grass. This must of affected his momentum as I was able to close in fast, slipstream and pull of a pass on his inside at Stowe. Unfortunately Erling had one of those slow motion spins and this left me free to cruise to the line in 2nd.
Great race and the cars look epic.
Monza will be fun I think.

Man that endurance race seemed the longest ever...  Clive and I got together early maybe L2 or 3 and both went off, nobodys fault just a racing incident.   my car suffered some damaged but I decided to not pit and repair until I could do my regular pit stop.  Car was pretty twitchy but thought I could adjust with early braking and such. Wrong!! got a stop and go just before pit stop time so lost a lap with those two stops.  Then the car seemed better but  a little strange even after the suspension repair.  Then I got another cut and a second stop and go, so was kind of seeing red
but I am too stubborn to quit at this point and went down a second lap.  I didn't repair the body damage and I think these cars also are a little aero sensitive also.  Could that be?  Anyway glad it's over and see you all at Daytona-RC

Regular readers will be pleased to note that Ziu and myself have finally reached a compromise that suits us both. All is peace, love and harmony once more  :winkiss:
