Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

The weather situation is very serious here, the roads are closed, we are under an avalanche of water and thunder. I will try to enter the server tonight but since morning I stopped counting the number of blackouts were so high

Wish you well and stay safe Tmate.  Don't take any chances, evacuate if you have too.  Moving water is very dangerous!  We had that problem here in 2011, we went to our daughters about 150 miles away until it was safe to return.  Lost about everything in the lower level but stuff can be replaced.....

Braking for the 1st turn caught me out so many times it wasn't funny. Each wall hit damaged the suspension a bit more until the car became undriveable so had to pit for repairs, tyres and fuel. Took forever but I thought I'd carry on anyway. Leaving the pits and I received a stop/go for speeding in pit lane. Gave up.  :censored: :cursing: :censored: :cursing:

Damn shame I had to retire. It was the wheel. With long races and heavy cars it tends to accumulate off-centeredness (is that a word) until the point it's no longer drivable. Up to 45° it's doable to compensate but above that it's just a mess. And with 20 laps to go it would have been at 90° or worse.  :-[
'Twas fun until then. Damn, Mattr7, you're a handful to drive behind  ;D

Weird race thats for sure.  Good thing we are not endurance drivers for real...Went off at T1 early on and messed up the suspension a little but lap by lap it got worse.  Finally at about L18 I went for the pits and had service and fixed the suspension, I thought.  It was better but still not right.  Maybe these cars are like  some other (was it F1 or Can Am) that only do half a$$ repair jobs?  Any way don't worry about it Geoff, I was going to push the exit button anyway.  Some days are like this and then some are even worse!!!  Like the GT40 but just didn't have the concentration today for that long a race.  Thanks for the race anyway and see you all in the other beast's next week

Had decided to join at the last minute, no idea which car to take, had some ferrari tokens to spend, so took the most powerfull one
probably would have done better in the lower powered one, as, although the p4 hurtles down the straight, it is (with my hasty setup)
an oil tanker in the turns  :o As Dominik found to his frustration, as I tried my best to make it turn in and not swap ends
Top marks for inhuman patience to Dom  :notworthy: As the tyres wore it became even more unpredictable, and therefore more
difficult to follow, I was never trying to block, as Ziu found as he went past on the outside in Sunset in a car on rails  :o
I eventually lost it in Clubhouse, and backed off the bank having looked, thinking no one was coming, only to back right into
a passing Coyote.

Surprised to find the Ford the fastest of my options, but loved driving it so not at all unhappy.

With two 917s present, I was surprised too to be 2nd on grid, but no complaints  ;)  Too much wheelspin at the start saw Geoffers slip in front, but got 2nd back when he then ran wide at T1.  Ziu soon disappeared, and I got a fair gap to the rest of the field, so the race turned lonely.  Approaching midrace, I was in a fairly comfortable 2nd place, when things were turned upside down.  Rounding the downhill lefthander, a very rapidly reversing Matt cut across my path and I couldn't avoid hitting him.  Car damaged; didn't track straight, steering wheel at an angle and wouldn't corner right anymore.

Advanced my pitstop to do repairs. Spent 1½ minutes on those, in addition to the normal pit time (Note to Bob: repairs worked in my case - skipped body repairs, but replaced suspension).  Lapped and down to 6th when I finally rejoined.  Up to 5th when Dan pitted and then 4th when Dom left.  Had a steady 58 seconds to the car in front despite my best efforts, but then the pit board suddenly showed a 3-sec gap  :o  Spotted Fulvio rejoining from the pits and managed to fly past approaching T1. Thus up to 3rd and game very much on then !!    When Geoffers left, we were fighting for 2nd, which didn't exactly lower the intensity..   Drove my wheelnuts off to stay ahead.  Did so for around 10 laps I think, but tyres were taking a pounding and gradually cried enough.  My one advantage, which seemed to be corner exit speeds, evaporated along with my tyres, when the rears started slipping massively.  Thus Fulvio got closer and eventually just sailed past down the straight.  Tried to hang on, to at least keep him on his toes, but with ever diminishing grip, there was little I could do, and the gap stretched after a couple of minor offs.  It was an uneven struggle, but fun while it lasted - just wish I could have held on a little longer  :)

Grats to Ziu & Fulvio - and Dan for finishing.  Commiserations to all the early bathers.

Update!
Was bothered by my pitstop problem all evening yesterday so damaged a car this morning and did a pitstop and the same problem, checked a Por and the Ford again.  Poor repair or none in the Por.  Decided to download the car pack again and over wrote the install.  What do you know?, now repairs cars good, must have had a corrupt file in the old load.  Case solved.....

Grats to the podium, and all the finishers.

Great video.  In the first part of the video I thought the car and surroundings might be computer generated, just too pretty.  Then later on he explained it had been cleaned and polished to a high degree.  Fun view...Thanks
