Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Note early race start time.

Guy's, sorry to report that we have not reached our quarterly cost target.

It should be remembered that racing sim sites that cater for the older sims are few and far between and it would be a real shame if this site went the same way as Gamers Crib and Nogrip.

If you have contributed, Thank you  :notworthy:

If you have still to make a donation then please don't forget

We really do need your contributions to allow us to continue providing you with all these fantastic races and Championships.

I did my usual penny inthe hat some days ago. But it takes a few days for it to work through
the system.

I like Pembrey, never raced ther for real, but it is good fun. This version has the usual glass walls
off track which can be car wreckers if you hit them wrong. And if you go over the banks
it can be a real test of skill to get back on the track  :o

I'm around 1:10 in the Anglia using my new W10 install - no other car tested so far.  :P
Still have to check whether there are any differences concerning game / G25 settings towards my XP install.

I'm sure Logitech have updated drivers for W10. Might be worth a look?

I like Pembrey, never raced ther for real, but it is good fun.

Went there many years ago for a trackday on a bike, was great fun with a good mix of fast & slow corners. Seem to remember it being a bit narrower than this version & the double lefthander was sharper. Still quite like this version though.

Currently under Matt's Anglia lap record with all 3 cars.  ;D

I have the lap record  :o how did that happen...
Did a few laps last weekend, not sure I am under Matt's record either  ::)

202 Miles and 4Hrs 37mins from my house to Pembrey... ok I have gone down to
Goodwood and Castle Coomb for championship events, but I wouldn't go that
far for a trackday! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it  :P

Oulton, Cadwell, and Donnington are track day targets for me.

I know a guy who used to race big bikes there, and he liked it.

Yep - downloaded these drivers before I installed the game and these W10 drivers lead to a noticeable changed feeling - my impression.

Thanks again, Tony

About 2 seconds slower in my W10 install than in my XP install  in the Anglia (1:09.3 to 1:07.03). Working on it.
So this will be another evaluation test on W 10.

No problem at all being the slowest driver but I don't need to be even slower as possible  ;D

edit: got it! New pb in the Anglia on W10 1:06.7.
Can only assume that the installation of the W10 drivers for the G25 changed the FFB settings in my plr file.

Nice battle with Tony at the back of the pack for a few laps. Than a moment of poor concentration and the end of this race for me.  :P Love the Imps.

This track respectively the transparent walls remind me a bit of a movie called "The Wall" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wall_(2012_drama_film) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wall_(2012_drama_film)))  :)

After qualifying on pole for all 3 races, I made a complete mess of all of them.  ::)

First race I didn't give the Imp enough throttle & crawled off the line & was nearly last exiting T1. Later had a slight bump from Dan which was ok but I overcorrected the slide & went up the banking, didn't make any difference to the result though as I would not have caught the Anglias ahead.

Second race, Anglia crept forward at the start, guess I didn't have the clutch fully depressed, so got penalised for jumping the start. Pitted for the penalty then lost control on lap 5 when I got on the grass out of the final turn speared across the track & vaulted the barrier into pit lane. Decided to quit.

Third race in the Mini, poor start again, neck & neck with Ziu & an Anglia into T1 I guess we all just ran out of room as I was suddenly turned sharp left & took Ziu off too.  ::)  Rejoined behind Ziu & we started to work our way back up the field, but about lap 5 I understeered into Bob's Anglia through the double LHer & spun him around, sorry Bob, waited for Bob to rejoin but was well behind the field so no chance of a podium.

So two 4ths & a dnf was rather disappointing.  :(

Anyway congrats to all who did make the podiums     & commiserations to any who faired worse than I did.

3 races on one night and 3 different cars to use. Relieved that my evening was not the nightmare that Geoffers experienced!!

I have improved my abilities with the infernal Mini and spent as much time as I could before the first race simply lapping, and trying to re-wire my brain and feet to drive the infernal thing!! I did manage to hook up a decent qualifying lap and I was doing a reasonably ( by my standards) good job of chasing  the 3 leading Anglias  until...… just like Bob, I downshifted for the final turn and turned the engine into a blowtorch,, race over, but at least I had got the Mini out of the way. ;D
Race 2 a toss up between the Imp and the Anglia, so Anglia it was and Oh! the joy, a rear wheel drive car that handles the way I like. The only problem was a very unstable braking tendency. But with a delicate application of foot pressure I could control the rear end braking away and actually steer the car into the corner....could be useful if I could maintain control. 2nd on the grid next to Geoffers was far better than I had hoped for. All I had to do was keep it clean and chase Geoffers….simples lol!!  I was half aware that Geoff's car rolled a little before the start, but thought nothing of it. The start was not good and Geoff was away. Ziu stuck his Imp through and I had to work to regain 2nd...then I passed Geoffers by the pit entrance???? why was he going so slowly??? OK keep the hammer down and try and fend off Ziu and Geoffers when they get their mojo working, and while we are at it....where the heck was that Erling character???!!  so much stress for an old guy  :-\ After a few more laps I felt a little more relaxed as the gap to 2nd place was growing and I was not having to push too hard  ;D The rest of the race was a case of staying focused and keeping it clean.
Race 3 and I had the Imp left. I knew that the torque band was at the top end of the rev range , but made a complete Horlicks of the start and got swamped. Gradually picked my way back through the field as others had various misfortunes, until I caught Erling.. He was also in an Imp, and there was nowhere that I had a big enough advantage to make a serious passing attempt. But I felt I was marginally quicker and if I could get through I might actually be able to make Ziu work harder for his first place?

Then Erling did the gentlemanly thing and ran wide out of the final turn  ;). "Thank you Erling, that make things easier" I thought as I swept past.
Provided I did not make any mistakes I was confident that I could hold 2nd, but could I catch Ziu? I think I was trying too hard and my pace suffered. I was able to keep Erling just far enough behind to feel safe, but I could not make any inroads into Ziu's lead.

So ran home in 2nd spot.

A DNF, 1st and 2nd was not a bad evening's racing.
Grats to all the podium places and to all those who got to the flag, especially in the Mini!!!!!

Should be happy about a couple of podiums, but ultimately felt disappointed about the way the races unfolded.

Race 1 pretty uneventful.  Picked the Anglia, as it's the one I find most difficult to drive, and thus the one hardest to adapt to when coming straight from one of the others.  Surprised to be jumping Geoffers at the start, but the Imp does bog down.  Was then in a sandwich between Ziu & Roger in similar cars.  Gaps to both increased at the same rate, so the race ultimately turned lonely.

Race 2 went for the Mini.  Had not forseen the big battle I would have with Tony in his Anglia.  Mostly frustrating though, as I had to work my a$$ of in the corners to get or stay ahead, only to be passed down the straights by his faster car.  Late in the race a recovering Ziu also went past. Thus a potential 2nd was transformed to a disappointing 4th.

Race 3 left with the Imp.  It seemed to be the star of the early races, but in recent ones have felt strangely neutered. Disappointingly far down the grid, but 1st corner mayhem propelled me to an unlikely 3rd.  Was later passed by Clive in the way he describes; lost momentum on the grass allowing him past, and not able to reclaim the position.  Was gifted one however, when Matt had a big moment, so came home 3rd after all.  Grats to all winners and remaining podiums.
