Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Note early race start time. NOTE: Race 3 was deleted due to server dropout.

The Anglia is the best car of the bunch but watch out for those high curbs which can flip the little Ford over.

I thought I might join in this evening if I get back from Trick or Treating in time. I connected up my G25 the other day and it seems to be working OK. ”fingers crossed”. Did some practice yesterday, I managed to put the Anglia on its roof, the Mini into a barrier and spin the Imp. This does not bode well for the race I think. My goal will be to finish the race and if not last of the finishers then I will possibly consider that a result.  :-\

Hope that your wheel functions OK misnomis. My old G25 is also beginning to show signs of a stressful and abused life I think.

It appears to lose its calibration between races? and it takes several attempts at re-calibration to persuade it that the wheel needs to be central for straight ahead, and not somewhere around 30 degrees to the left or right!! This happens in GTL and in GPL, despite the wheel doing its normal lock-to-lock initialisation exercises at PC boot up.

Once beaten into submission it generally works OK, but I suspect the brake potentiometer is also not 100% fit, as I am regularly getting passed in the braking zones both in GPL and GTL.
I am contemplating a complete ( and careful)  strip down and clean, using some electrical contact cleaner that I have on my desk. It still feels solid , as does the shifter, but like all of us, it is getting older and if I cannot inject some new life into the electronic bits, there might be some retirement plans invoked.

Maybe a G27 ( or G270) for Christmas?? …"are you listening Santa? "

I destroyed two G25 shifter  ::)  and changed to a Thrustmaster shifter which has seven gears (http://www.thrustmaster.com/de_DE/produkte/th8a-add-shifter (http://www.thrustmaster.com/de_DE/produkte/th8a-add-shifter) ).
Very good piece of work but often leads to shifting errors if I'm not precise enough.

About GTL to avoid problems with potentiometer brake you can setting dead zone 100%

Logitech not make more g27 and g270.... exist ???

I know exist g920 e g29 manual shift it s an optional . Just you know that g29 is less expansive that g970

I bought 2 used G25's last year for a total of 35$ USD last fall for parts on Ebay.  They both said the shifters were good.  They were worse than mine but got enough parts to make one decent one out of the three. Can't use the H pattern reliable so just "Bump" shift with it.  Not period correct for our cars but it will have to do.

Wow!!  lol.
My post certainly sparked a lot of activity, and it was only a nudge to Santa.  Is it because many of you have seasonal jobs as Santa's Elves???  ::)

Like I said the old G25 still works, but it often needs a good kicking at start up, to get things functioning correctly. It is of course a very scientific kicking applied with considerable precision  ;D. Just like my driving

The possibility of a new wheel and pedals is kind of leading me on to building a proper seat and rig setup to mount it on. The current office chair and wheel clamped to a desk does not exactly feel like I am sitting in a GT40 or Ferrari 275. I have seen a few home made rigs that are relatively simple and solid, based around a decent car seat.
Once I get the house extension finished.....I will need a project.  ;)

I was still in, thought I had scared everyone off. Had an odd moment at the end of Race 1, my controller seemed to fail for a couple of seconds then came back. Then before Race 2 my input failed to have any effect. I left multiplayer and re-joined at the end of qually. It was working OK then. I thought it was my controller playing up. Strangely in Race 3 it was working fine and I was starting to get the hang of it again but then everyone disappeared.

Grats to winners, podiums and all.

I finished last race all on my own  ???

XD was all over the place so I knew something was wrong.

Cannot remember the last time that happened to a race here.

I'll report to server admin and let them know.

Results for third race will probably contain errors but I should be able to manually adjust it to the race positions before the mass kick out.

R1 was a great fun for me and some others at the back.  First part had Dom on my tail and had to fight him off before he got around me and drove away from me.  Then Tony came up on me and we had a great battle, door to door bumper to bumper and a few taps, but nothing malicious, just great racing.  Tony I still think you should have my position at the finish as I'm pretty sure I caused you the off on the last turn before the home straight on the last lap.
R2 was just a drive the track for me never really had anyone around me as I remember but I was still in a fog from the R1 events.
R3 was just weird, I think I was in 5th but I guess I discoed early and didn't even realize it and then it just all went black and ended up at the game start.  Must have been the day of the dead.  My wife decided we would buy a bunch of candy for the kids in our complex, but only had three show up.  My wife is diabetic, so I guess I will be forced to eat the whole bowl of the stuff.  Can't let it go to waste, right?  Grats to the podium finishers and thanks for the races.

Bob M.

This race will be remembered fondly by me for a very long time. Last on the grid,In my Imp, I made up three places from the start, ending up following Dom who was behind Bob. Dom eventually made a pass on Bob stick but all the time I had been able to shadow both of them. Dom pulled away and went off after the pack in front of him whilst I closed in on Bob in his mighty Mini. Spent many laps close to Bob but never that close to make a worthwhile attempt at a pass. In the closing laps though, I tried several times to get the old master and we had several close encounters with paint and mirrors being swopped. Very close, always fair and highly enjoyable sim-racing. The replay really doesn't convey the excitement of the action as we both battled away. Cheers Bob, and you are wrong about me taking the flag in front of you. That last turn bump was all my fault and you rightfully deserved the place.
