Server: simracing.org.uk Wednesday
Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: The results from this race were deleted due to server dropout.

Unfortunately the replay file is corrupted so that's not going to help me find out driver positions before the server dropout  :-[

If drivers can post who they thought was in front and/or behind them before the dropout please post.

I don't know if we go out to the server in the same instant but when happen to me podium was 1 Geoffers, 2 Ziu, 3 Clive. Sorry but I don't remember 4, 5....etc , I was concentrated on Clive

Maybe it's better to scrap the results of this race altogether. Bob e.g. was disco'ed much earlier than anyone else. His was the only ghost car for quite a few laps. Just a thought.
I for one don't know the positions at the time of the server incident because I don't exactly know when it occurred. All seemed normal except at some point I didn't notice any cars anymore but that may have been quite a bit after the event. I just don't know. I wonder what XD was calculating  ???

I was in 9th place with Seniordan already gone and three Minis in front of me when you guys began "to leave the game".
Server put me out as one of the last participants - possibly in 4th as posted in the results.
If it wouldn't matter for the championship I also would propose to scrap the result of race 3.
Already had an issue during practice when I suddenly realized that I was alone on track with all other guys looking as discoed.
I left and rejoined the game and all seemed to be fine.

Have a nice weekend - All Saints' Day here with one day off on Friday, so leaving to the Eifel mountains without Internet and TV until Sunday  ;D

It was very strange.
I recall an Anglia parked on the exit of Lodge Corner that gave me a nasty shock and at that time, I think Erling was quite close behind me?.  A few laps later,  I passed Ziu's Mini about 4 times as it froze, and then re materialised about 50mtrs ahead zig zagging across the track. This went on for around a lap before the message came up that he had "left the game".

I did not see any other "leaving" messages and thought that I was up to 2nd place ( although after reading what has happened, I am not claiming 2nd place  ;) ) . I knew that Geoffers should be about 10 secs ahead and simply concentrated on trying to chase him, hoping to catch a glimpse of his car and get some encouragement. I did not think it too odd that I did not see any other cars, because I knew Geoffers was ahead and I thought I was leaving the field behind.

On my PC I finished the 14 laps without a problem and it was only when I crossed the finish line to look at the results table that things looked very odd.  Geoffers shown as first, but without a race time??? and everyone else 5 or 6 laps behind. Incidentally, I was still fully connected to the server and had to exit in the normal way through the various menu screens.

From what I saw on track, and the results that came up on my PC, it looks like there was a series of disconnects over the course of 2-3 laps? I would only vote for a re-run because I was having so much fun around this short track. If time constraints mean that the result is dropped, I'm not bothered too much.
From what I witnessed it might be difficult to pick a point at which the result  stands ( other than Geoffers winning!!) because cars dropped out at different times.
BTW did anyone else "think" they had completed the 14 laps??? because if the server did not throw me out, it obviously did not totally crash, which seems odd.

Not only you having much fun, I was doing my best race with Mini, my goal was go down 1:12,9 the last 4 laps and maybe have great battle with you...

Would be nice to repeat this race but it s impossible re live the same feelings and impossible also get the same start grid

Thanks for your comments guy's.

I'm inclined to delete Race 3 from the results as we didn't all drop at the same time. Like someone else said, I completed the race but was suspicious when XD showed two drivers in first place!

I'll wait for any further comments before acting.

I got to lap 10, I think it was, by which time Bob (car frozen) & Ziu had already gone & XD was showing me 2 laps ahead of everyone else. Decided to slow & see if anyone caught up, but no one did so I quit out & checked the other cars & they were all frozen so I left the server.
Pity to lose the race win but the only fair way is to scrap this race as people got ejected at different times.

PS: Can I keep my lap records.  :P

I can change the race to a "Non-Championship" event. Thereby keeping the records but losing the points.

Sorry to all of you I scared when my car froze.  I recall I was in 5th place most of the time.  Was very weird because I never saw the disco message and was kicked all the way back to the start of the game.
I'll go with everyone elses wish as I was pretty well mentally burnt out after the other two races.

that sounds like the simplest solution Tony.

First indication for me was coming upon Bob's frozen car at T1. Puzzled me, as he wasn't far behind me earlier, and frozen cars usually don't hang for long.   Next was a long, winding tyremark on track, indicating a crippled car; followed by a message Ziu had left, so assumed he had damaged his car.  Then came increasingly unlikely pit boards - 1 lap ahead of the next car, 2nd place, first place, 2 laps ahead.  Was still driving fine, but glances at my router confirmed that communications had stopped.  Could probably have completed the race on my own, but elected to exit.

Replay suggests people were dropped at various times, so agree that scrapping the race seems most fair.
