Practice server should be up, please note you'll need the league's standard practice password (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=2929.0) to get in. This should ensure that if you've got ballast you'll have it for practice too.

Just checked a server. Track set is layout_gp_b (MOTO variant with straightened last chicane) Is it correct?  Not sure.  :)
I thinked that we will race  with normal ( slow but risky) NGK chicane layout_gp_a. ?
BTW I prefer slow chicane with good pilots ( UKAC staff)  ::)

OP says "Nürburgring GT" which is either the Nürburgring Sprint GT layout (which I highly doubt ;D) or the Nürburgring GP GT layout with the fast chicane which is used on the server atm

I did confirm the chicane layout with Jeff and it's the fast one he wanted.

Both chicanes are rubbish so I had to pick one of them  :P. The tight chicane doesn't really add an overtaking opportunity I think. The fast right hander before the "straight" makes it tricky to follow closely and the draft will be next to nothing. :)

Just wait till they see which version of Barcelona I picked  ;D

For those who haven't fired this up yet, there was an update yesterday which took bloody ages to install itself on my Win7 machine after having had the UAC window pop up.
There seem to have been lots of people reporting issues on this, so it's worth letting the game update tonight and then firing it up and leaving it to do it's thing for 20 or 30 minutes once you've got rid of the UAC prompt.
It's it just worked for you then :P

Vanga said that Felix is in 1.53 in softs.
Jeff, where are you in Nurb timing and Silverstone race table? You want to see how we drive across yours speedy and deadly chicane using TV and beer?  ;D
I'm sick with a cold and a headache, but I'll still try not to leave the team. :)
UPD Ahh Jeff sorry- I see you in the timing now  :) It's good. Let's have a nice race guys!

Any way to reduce the level of understeer in this car on corner entry? Tried a few laps last week but just couldn't get on with it, but that might be that I really enjoy Nurburg GP and tend to be quite aggressive and still in GT3 mode.

I can give you a few suggestions:
- Move brake balance towards the back
- reduce rear camber (*edit* less negative value)
- move the rear toe to zero or slightly negative (the real values, not the settings one)
- also increase rear antiroll bar (I have at 6)

Hope it helps :)

My POV here- do not add more negative camber to rear tyres . Use default value. It's helps to slip in turn entry in trail braking.  ( will have less rear grip). My  brake balance is 60.
Some more helps else is a slightly negative toe in rear ( approx - 0.03 deg in right setup screen.  :) Ideal ressure in tyres-30 hot. Hope it'll help you.  :)
UPD. Haha Felix said the same things  ;D

I've had the Rear ARB on default till now, wow that 6 setting is going to be interesting!

People have success ballast now and are still 6 secs a lap quicker and I bet their doing close to those times consistently.

Tough race with plenty of action as I fought Fmg Frex and Simon for most of the race.  :)

Qually was close but I wasted first half of it on medium tyres  ::) then stuck softs on and fought fmg for position, which he nicked in dying seconds  :taz:

Got a good clean race start and was instantly in a 3 way fight that set the tone for the whole race. After a while Frex fell back whilst I fought Fmg then Simon for lap after lap. But in the end, despite some great close fighting, they both had the edge. My tyres finally gave up the ghost with 5mins remaining and the car seemed to instantly become a real handful but I brought it home a hard earned 8th. Shame to not harass Simon all the way to the line as I was hoping his tyres would give up first  ;D

Well done nsfw on the win and the podium guys  8)

That was a fun race.

I was too cautious and friendly at the start and Maikel capitalized on that. From that moment on I was right behind him for the rest of the race. It's very hard to overtake here and I had to hope for a mistake by him, but that never happened.

Grats nfsw for the win, looked like you and Felix were in the same situation as me and Maikel :).

It was a slightly mad race in all aspects for me. I remember the AC times with old tyre model when this car was more grippy and joyfull. Now it's feels like a slippery cow IMO  :) Plus to this i got a different car behavior like it happens to me sometimes with AC european servers. Was more slippery. Less FFB ( about 10-15 percents in FFB app bar). But i qualified not bad and was wait for good mid pilotone battle. But in 1st lap i hit Schumaher ext curb and go to gravel and p_last.  ;D Moreover, i make a contact with Matteo in Mercedes arena exits some earlier. My damage car was registered but still in zero level. Hope that Matteo rear was near zero damage too. Anyway, sorry mate. :)
Next, in lap 2 i allowed a contact with Mark E after Schumaher S. I was behind him, had more speed, we both was over left curb and some on the grass. To apply brakes here was not good idea and i just lift off gas but was too late. Sorry Mark for that.
So, overall race after all becomes true and clear intuitive moving over  track. I forgot about all technicues, grips, inet, and do all things like a monkey's zombi. :D I was in hopes with "Mark J company" catch in 10 sec in front, but car damage and another one walk to gravel ( i forget to brake in one other moment else) ruined this dreams. But in way of this a make sooooooooo mad but fun overtakes in (Jeffrey's favorite  ;D ) place which i cant imagine for me earlier ( see small vid) .  Thanks guys for the race, for patience and  congrats podium. NFSW was in defend position state from Felix but got a hard win! Congrats! You guys are track monsters! Full respect!  8)

Two races and two Ferraris brought home with crumpled bodywork - this would be expensive in the real world! Enjoy these cars, but I do seem to struggle to be consistent in them, especially towards the end of races.

But another fun race in the first part, chasing MJ. A spin dropped me way down, and another off at the same corner dropped me into the range of Alexey. Still enjoyed it though. Congrats podium.

Pretty intense race that was for me.

Managed to pass Jeffrey when he was holding the door open.  ;D
I started chasing the 2 in front for the first few laps until they started driving away and Jeffrey started to close the gap. I knew I had to make no mistakes as this is a tricky track for overtaking and Jeffrey was quicke4 then my pregnant car. ( I think its gonna be a boy ).
Managed to keep him behind me and I'm glad I got that last podium spot. Though next race the car will be even heavier so it will be even more difficult.
Especially on that long straight on Imola.

How have you all got so quick?

Having been driven off the track by Matt, then having gone wide at the Schumacher S on the grass, staying of the accel to not spin on the grass, Alexy does the same but keeps his foot in and hits the back of me! I then go off as I watch Alexy attempting a pass into the final chicane and panic as I could felt it was going to end badly but paniced and spun it myself. It was clear I was firmly at the back of the field. Had clawed my way back to Stefan and was enjoying chasing him but spun in the final chicane with 5 mins to go and lost all enthusiasm.

Did I drive you off the track? I didn't notice. I will have a look at the replay, sorry if I did  :hang:

Alexy passed me in the final chicane as well, and I was worried about contact, I braked a bit early to
give him room, but was still a worry, but he just went round the outside like a true pro, and didn't seem
to cause him any grief at all  :notworthy:

I felt I did quite well last night despite finishing "only" 7th. :)

I managed a whopping 15 minutes practice and it meant I had a sort of half baked setup prepared. (I took the setup from the last round and tweaked it a little bit ;)).

In qually, I was pretty close to the front 6 with softs on and so I thought I would be in no-mans land during the race as there was a chunk of time to the cars behind me. No, not so. On mediums the car was a real handful (fun!) but I was a lot slower into the braking especially whilst others like FMG and Mark were better on mediums than their qually times had suggested they would be, so I ended up having a race with them both and never saw the top 5 again. 8)

I really wanted to adjust the brake balance during the race to see if it would help my braking issues, but to my disappointment found I couldn't adjust it. Perhaps my ABS is too high?! it was on default (4 i think). I think my BB was on 56%?

Anyway, having finally succumbed to FMG it looked like Mark would get me, but just after he overtook me he left the door wide open and invited me through when I was only half chancing it. It was enough to get me back in front of him and it took all my effort to stay there, eventually getting back near FMG near the end (as he struggled even more towards the end).

I was thinking about softs for the race as the mediums are shagged during the race anyway, so maybe softs are worth it for the extra pace if they are as worn as mediums by the end?

Anyway, it was good fun again and I look forward to the next round.

BB is not ajustable in this car from cockpit. Only in garage before the race  :)
Softs is not suit here. Qualy only

My race was decided by a bad quali. It was the only way to have some chance to gain a place.

The only moment of fun was at the second corner, when I passed Baikal, and at the third corner I received a nudge by him, but luckily I was able to control the rear and avoid a spin.

Everything else was pure boredom, stucked in a limbo between the fantastic 4 and the followers.
Grats to nfsw, Felix and Maikel for the podium.

Will surely jump the next one, cause there will be the Italy cup match between my SS Lazio vs AC Milan on 31 Jan. See you in a month with the 599XX ;)

Quite a surprising race for me.

Didn't expect to qualify first, but my lap was nearly "perfect" and the car was great on soft tires.

I went very conservative for the first laps because I had no idea how the car handles with cold tires after missing the first round two weeks ago.
Once the tires heated up I got in a nice rythm and tried to push to keep Felix behind. This worked quite well, but no chance to open up a gap to him.
I had the feeling that I was able to gain a few tenths in the first half of the track and Felix was able to close the gap again in the second half, so we were always very close together, but not really in an attack-and-defend-mode, so we didn't slow each other down.
Nevertheless the whole race was really intense for me. No time to "rest" and especially the last laps were a nightmare cause I wasn't sure if I had enough fuel onboard (later realized that I probably had enough for a further lap ::)  )

Interested to see how the ballast will effect the laptimes for the next round :)

btw: I never thought that the Ferrari is so lovely (and lively ;D) to drive, great car choice Jeffrey ;)

Neither did I. Other hypercars are horrible in AC, but this one was a pleasant surprise. I just tried it based on its looks, so no real science was used in the picking  ;D.

Not agree with you. I remember P1 for example was ok for me , may be not only P1  ;) Need test. Simply: hi- tech cars is an other world, coming true and we must to know how they driving, and try to find a fun with it, IMO. P1 was point for me. I believe Kunos and Aris here.  :)

The fxx was never really built to be a “hypercar” is was just a no rules, track only varient of the 599gto, much like the enzo fxx is a track only, no rules varient of the enzo..

That and the zonda r was (in old builds at least) quite a reasonable match to the fxx, i think just edging it in terms of pace.
