I think you are right. It will be AC2 info. Just checked Steam apps database for AC - NO betas for test ( DLC , free content) during last month. So, AC development is closed as fact.

I'm not sure if the entry list is used on the practice server for the Porsche series. It is for the Ferraris due to the success ballast.

As Jeff says the Porsche practice uses a generic entry list so you'll just get a random skin.

I broke my arm over xmas, fell off my push bike :-\ Tried a race on Core in January and it wasn't good. Left hand turns and anything which involved quick corrections were a no no. Still this will be my venture out since then, about 6 weeks, looking to just ease myself back in.

H shifter tip for the 962: Use clutch only for upshifts. For downshifts just blip the throttle while changing gears  ;)

You need to practice to synch it correctly. I seldom get transmission damage by doing so.

Well that was rubbish. people in front were being very cautious, so I followed, then someone behind
got ambitious and caused a pile up and put me into the fence with big damage, Went to pits
and waited and waited, came out a lap down, then was lapped so was trying to pull off to retire
out of the way, when I lost it on the grass and spun back onto the track in the leaders way  :taz: :taz: :taz: :taz: :taz:
Sorry if I caused any serious issues. Shame my pace was not bad today.

Well that was disappointingly short. Was stoked for the race as the pace was pretty even up front and with a pretty big grid. Right at T1 I saw one car in front wobble lightly so I though to sneak up on the outside of T2 and see if I can't get into his inside for T3. Went a little bit wide but as soon as I hit the grass I just understeered into the wall at a pretty low angle so I probably should've bounced abit against it but as soon as I hit it the car just completely stopped like I hit a brick wall straight on.. ( haven't saved the replay so it could be I just didn't see it all that well ). Sorry for however got caught up behind me, I think it was Massimo.
Car was completely wrecked from there on so no use continuing.

Such a bummer  :'(

Well good to be back but far too many errors. I think I burnt my clutch out, could select gears but no drive, had to teleport back to pits, but only lost one place. Sorry Stefan I thought I gave you enough room, well that's what helicorsa indicated.

Well I survived my first VR race  :) and got a decent 7th place finish too behind the usual alien front group.

Had some great racing along the way too and was nice to keep up with the front boys for a change  :)

The big grid of group C looked fantastic at race start and whilst racing closely 8)
Survived a couple of ‘days of thunder’ moments early on and kept tabs on 5th and 6th ahead for the whole race. Had a good few laps battling fmg until he dropped back (damage?)
Got a bit worried near race end when there was one more lap than I expected but just had enough fuel ..phew.

Racing with VR was superb, you lean into corners and look over to apex’s like your in a real car  8) my eyes were really strained by race end though, quite painful so I’ll have to reduce my time with it on race night. Had goggle marks on my hot face like Sterling moss  ;D

Congrats to fast Felix and the podium  :notworthy:

Again, good pace from Felix and congrats to the podium!
This time I tried the hard tires without pitstop and it worked out.
After the start was sorted I was on fourth place until I crashed into two cars spinning infront of me. PorcoRosso passed me and Matteo touched me and then was behind me. I tried to keep him behind but he was faster and so he passed me.

Sorry Matteo, for the weired line when we touched at the end of start/finish straight. I thought the lapped car in front of us would slow down to let us pass. Obviously he didn't, I miscalculated that. I did not intend to crash you. Sorry for that!

Had a good few laps battling fmg until he dropped back (damage?)

Front aero was destroyed after a backmarker span into T1 and collected me while I was battling Fabri and Jeff for 2nd (Think I had the faster race car too - just didn't find the opportunity to pass).
After that I was lucky to get down into the 1:10's I had so much understeer, sorry if my driving seemed overly 'blocky' - That was how slow I had to enter the slower stuff after the incident :(

The race with Fabri and Jeffery was great until then at least, just bummed that I lost out at one of my 'local' (i.e. GPL) tracks

Well that was another unrewarding race. I managed to avoid the several crashes on the first lap and due to others mistakes I was up in 10th at one point. Then I noticed the tyre wear indicator thingy showed the left rear as red, so on the next slow left hander I carried a fraction too much speed and the back end just slowly slide round. And there I was stuck on the kurbs. Race over. Another forgettable AC race.

Cool cars on a great track indeed. Was late into qually so had just a lap or 3, but was not too worried. Made a good start and altough everybody seemed rather composed, there where quite a few accidents unfortunately.

After lap one i found myself behind team leader MJ, but my setup still seemed too understeeryon the hards. Some tweaking to do for the next outing. Had a nice group to race for some laps.
Mid race i caught Chris at slow speed after a small spin. We exited the last corner side by side in a dash for the straight. You gave me enough room on the last corner to drive side by side Chris, i just misjudged the fast kink a bit and the slight touch send me into the armco. To bad as it was a good scrap.
Congrats to the podium. Looking forward to the next race.

What wing were you front guys running? I noticed the only part of the track I seemed noticeably slower was exiting the final corner and down the sf straight but then I’d close again in the tighter corners where a bit of downforce helped.
I was kicking myself in the race as I’d forgotten to lengthen my 2nd gear, which I found in qually gave me a higher speed in the final turn, so that was costing me a couple of tenths every lap  :(
I had 3 wing.

I tried everything from 0 - 9, and decided that for me the wing meant I could go
with more confidence in the twisty bits, and times were better. I settled on
the default 6. I set the front arb and springs at softest, and kept the rear quite
hard which worked well everywhere except that nasty last corner.

Stefan, it was the slightest of touches, just shows that the collision physics is still very flakey. Also on the rear view visibility in these cars is awful. On the rift I was having to turn my head at right angles to see the wing mirrors and then the view was rubbish. Helicorsa helps but it looked like you were further away than you actually were when we were a long side.

3 in qualifying, 4 in race.
Don't use me to judge low speed cornering though,  my car was wrecked!
I should have been in the 9's most of the race

Sutol, did you try a carRadar app? It is more accurate to car dimensions becauce  of different to Helicorsa way- Car Radar has a car base with proper sizes of all cars . HC- is not by default. You can try Simple Mode of Car Radar . AAAAnd you can merge it with Helicorsa ( see Support topic here)
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/car-radar.15743  ;)

I used the same setup of Silverstone, with 1 click more to the rear wing. So wing 1.

1 wing explains the sf straight difference then but I thought a low wing would cost you exiting the final corner  :-\
I knew there was something amiss with fmg’s car as I was glued to his gearbox and faster through the infield sector. Still it looked fantastic dicing with a couple of group C cars with the Rift.  8) As the image is slightly grainy it’s like watching real 80’s footage  ;D

Me too! Like Chris I found the mirrors not that great with the rift. How come there is no rear view mirror in the 962?
Did enjoy looking sideways at other cars I was battling though and definitely helped me avoid clouting any car when 3 abreast in the early lap1 corners  :)

This race was another disaster for me, once again all of my own making.

Didn’t have much time to practice for this race, or to happen upon a setup that worked, so was way off the pace.  Does anyone fancy doing a tutorial for a complete numpty on car setups for the 962?  Or perhaps I could just buy one.

Avoided all the carnage on the first lap to find myself in 9th. Had a line of cars behind but was managing to hold them off until I clipped a wall then immediately missed a gear and stuffed it into the armco. After pitting for repairs I was in 18th but settled down and slowly worked my way up to 10th due either to my excellent driving or, more likely, others misfortune.

Last race I ran out of fuel on the last lap. This time my gearbox blew up. Luckily only lost one place as a result.  Once again, great car on a great track.  Congrats once again to the podium finishers.

Felix' tip about downshifting helped a lot as I was faster but more importantly, a lot more consistent and confident. Finished with an orange gearbox tho, so I'm glad it didn't last a lot longer  .

My starting position was right on the gearbox of Fabri, so I had to hope he had a good start, or else I simply had nowhere to go, but we all managed to get away quite equally.

Got a good run out of T1 on FMG, but got squeezed off track which luckily didn't cost me too much. Corner later I had another run on him, but Matteo wanted to help me with my setup, but the sudden increase of ride height at the rear of 1 metre kinda upset my car and I was lucky not so spin there.  :P

Unfortunatly I lost the direct contact with Fabri and Felix due to the contact and the aero damage made me a bit slower on the straight. I was able to stay within 5 seconds of the lead for the first half but was unable to close to Fabri who was the fastest on track at that moment. With 10 minutes to go we had a nice battle but a wobble in the chicane made me touch the wall very slightly, but the armco here is lethal and I had full red frontal damage and thought  it was race over. I know I've destroyed a lot of 330's, 908s and GT40's in that corner, but this was my first 962  ;D.

I was reliefed to see I could continue, but I was 1,5 seconds slower at that point so I had to cruise for 3rd.

I hope I can be as competitive next time as I seemed this round and avoid the incidents. We've gotta bring the fight to Felix, as he is heading for a 300 points championship  ;)

This is the setup I used which I think I got from the setup market, but can't remember which one. I think it was created by a guy called speedge  ???:

Ah good point about aero, I got a hefty thump up the jacksy in the early laps so that may have hindered me down the long sf straight  :-\
My damage indicator no longer works for some reason, hasn’t for a while.

I don't get you? It has 2 rear view mirrors?
Group C was fuel burn limited at the end of the day. No one would go out of their way to make mirrors if they could eek a saving on the cars CD value..
Personally I love having to check them property in the 962, especially as they're angled correctly and therefore useless on a straight  ;D

Also sorry to Jeffery, a message did pop up in s tracker saying I'd touched you, but even then I couldn't figure out where you were or had been  :-[

Felt I had decent pace here, but another dnf in the end.. Got caught up in several early incidents, then had a couple of silly ones of my own whilst trying to climb back up the order, each time understeering wide while trying to stick close to the car ahead. The second of these took me head on into the end of the Armco, game over.

Congrats podium.

Thx Baikal I'll give it a go.

Me too! Like Chris I found the mirrors not that great with the rift. How come there is no rear view mirror in the 962?
Did enjoy looking sideways at other cars I was battling though and definitely helped me avoid clouting any car when 3 abreast in the early lap1 corners  :)

Oh I had the two wing mirrors but I meant a proper in-car rear view mirror. Actually I would say I enjoyed the immersion of craning my neck to look in the wing mirrors to spot cars tailing me but they weren’t very good on the straight. I’m used to that as my real 911 only has ‘mouse-ear’ mirrors  ;D

This is the setup I used which I think I got from the setup market, but can't remember which one. I think it was created by a guy called speedge  ???:

Don't know if it's any good, but it kinda worked for me, but any feedback is welcome :).
This download has only a race strategy file (sp), Jeffrey. It should be an ini file  :)
BTW i watching a replay - it was fun to see this dramatic race!  :)

My race was ruined by my guillibility again. During the first lap I've lost the braking point at the hairpin hitting the rear of Jeff's car. However Jeff was luckier than me whereas I restarted last and the best I could do was a come back to 4th position, that didn't happen cause I had a couple of contacts with Thomas that I didn't really understood, and Porco was able to gain the wood medal in my place :D

Grats again to Felix for another great race and Fabri and Jeffrey for the podium.

Hope to see you for the next with the 962 cause I'll surely jump the next with the 599XX :'(

My race was literally a stroke of luck
Qualified 9th, I had a slow start, but I was able to kept the position. At second corner Maikel hit the armco and he did a terrible crash. I was able to avoid only by my SA at the moment, no thought, I turned right to avoit the crash; after the race I realized that I had the left and the rear badly damaged. At clubhouse Jeffrey and Massimo had a contact, two other positions gained, but after two laps circa Thomas catch me and he did a fantastic overtake against me at first corner.
Tried to kept fast pace, but thomas was a bit more fast, so I decided to save tyres and fuel. I thought, maybe somebody will have problem in the end...
1/2 of race circa Matteo too overtake me at the same place of thomas. Unfortunately I staked 10 mt before than others.
With the car more light than the start, I had a good feel, so I started to push, but not much, the race is a bit more long.
After two laps I saw the yellow flag, so I decided to raise my foot from the throttle: this save my race.
At clubhouse 2 cars was steady in the track, and Matteo hit hardly the Thomas car that stayed in track!
No thoughts again, I saw a passage between the cars, I got it and I passed unharmed.
At 14 mins to the end of the race I used all my tyres and fuel saved to push as much as possible. After the race I read that another contact occurred between Santini and Thomas
I finished in 4th position, at the bottom of the podium.
