(3) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.
(4) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

(5) Start procedure
*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap
 

We have another fun race this week, a 35 min sprint round Adria in GT3's. If prospective racers could post their names and car choice in this thread It will give me a better idea of what quantities of car types are needed and whether a booking system will be required.

Wow this takes me back to maybe my first race here in GTR2. Adria! bit of a mickey-mouse track with straight then hairpin it seems. Be interesting to see the track quality.

Not sure on car, need to try out a few. I've been driving the GT3's in PC2 a lot and need to readjust back!

The track looks very outdated from the pictures at RD tbh...
Nevertheless sign me up with the Audi please :)

Has anyone raced this track online recently? We can't seem to get it to work :o Player just gets dumped after the loading had finished. Simply changing the track to Imola, in the server's config file, and all is good.

Yes I know we've used the track before but that was a long time ago and AC has been updated many times since.

Not used it since my Blancpain series, have you checked Racedeoartment etc for a newer version?

I'm not aware of a newer version and when I Googled no one else seems to be reporting this problem

I tried a lap or two last night and felt the GT3's were not really good match for it as the track is too short with very tight hairpins, kurbs are pretty massive. Yes we raced here before but cant remember what cars were used.


When you say race, do you mean to just join it for a practise session? or an actual race session?

I meant anything online, the track loads for me in a local practice session

Hi track works fine for me, but the AI do not work, will try to make Sunday race, if so Porsche for me please.

I assume, if you're trying with AI, that was offline? In which case it works for me too. But we need it to work again online.

Track quite old last update October 2014, a bummer not working as this afternoon was the only time i had for some practice so you guys do not leave me to far behind (like Silverstone), nether mind look forward to next race.

@SRW maybe we should change the race to another italian track (or whatever you prefer)? It doesn't look like Adria is working online until sunday.

There will still be a race on Sunday night whether it is at Adria or somewhere else. Picnic has said he will have another look at the problem tomorrow, if he cant find a solution before the end of Saturday I will change the track to something else.

Unfortunately Adria will not work online so I am going to switch to another track for tomorrow nights race. I would like to use a new track, but I need to try it out on the server first as we have not used it in AC before. I will update the race announcement this evening with the revised track choice

I have changed the track to Okoyama (GP layout), the race post has been updated. I believe this is the first time we have used this in AC (I think we used it in the GTR2 days). I have set the server up for practice and all seems ok. If anyone encounters any problems please post in this thread. Hope to see you on track tomorrow night

Nice choice, the mod is pretty new and of good quality, looking forward to it.

I'm wondering to join the GT3 champ in the meantime I'd like to get in the Okayama circuit to test it and probably to make the fun race Tomorrow ..., but I cant get the password...

Would have suggested a stock track as little time to practise. Never really enjoyed this track in the past, but i guess its going to be better than Adria!

To download the track or get on the server?

To download the track you will need to register at Racedepartment

To get on the server you will need the practice password leading up to the event and the race password to log on after 8pm for the race. both of these passwords are located at the start of the this thread

Look forward to seeing you on track tonight  :)

It will give people like me who don't get much time to practice a chance of being closer to the pace  ;)

Hi enjoyed the race, what a fabulous track, miscalculated fuel so had to do a pit stop, sorry to the two drivers i spun in front of.

quiet race but nice circuit last night: I tried to stay close to nfsw55 ... but no way, so I made my lonely race far behind him.

PS: I noticed higher ping than usual, I checked other server during the practice but they were ok ... I hope this was only for Yesterday ...

Rather enjoyed that in the audi once i got setup properly. Had a lonely race for the most part, watching Bob and Picnic behind, but had pressure from Picnic in the later stages. Never really had much time to relax around this track though so felt quite knackered at the end of it.

Much better than Adria. 

I had forgotten how good this track is, will make sure we don't leave it another 5 years before using it again!
