Here are the details for the forthcoming Bi-weekly Assetto Corsa British GT Championship

We will be recreating the British GT Championship using cars from the GT3 class on all the tracks in the Calendar

The following Cars will be available:

BMW Z4 GT3
Ferrari 488 GT3
Mercedes AMG GT3
Maclaren 650 GT3
Nissan GTR GT3
Lamborghini Huracan GT3
Porsche 911 GT3 R 2016
Audi R8 LMS 2016

In order to compete in the series you will need the following DLC's:

dream packs 1,2 & 3
Red pack
ready2race
Porsche pack 3

The Calendar is as follows:

11/2/18 Round 1. Oulton Park
25/2/18 Round 2. Rockingham (road course)
11/3/18 Round 3. Snetterton 300
25/3/18 Round 4. Silverstone GP
8/4/18   Round 5. Spa Francorchamps
22/4/18 Round 6. Brands hatch GP
6/5/18   Round 7. Donington Park GP

The race format will be:

50 minute enduro with 1 pitstop

8pm practice
8:30 Qualifying
8:45 Race

Scoring Scheme:
All rounds count
Points: 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1

This series will use success ballast:

Only the podium positions will receive extra weight. The weights are distributed like this:

1st) +60kg
2nd) +40kg
3rd) +20kg
4th) +0kg
5th) -20kg
6th) -40kg
7th) -60kg

The maximum weight is going to be 100kg and not attending a race will not make you lose the ballast and it will be brought to the next event.

up until now the Sunday night grids have not been very big so that sort of thing has not come up, will have to see how things pan out now that I have introduced a bit more AC races!

 :( Unfortunately will miss the first 2 rounds, will be away the month of Feb, not back till early march.

I suggesst you take a look at the balance solution used in the 599 series.

Just asking but any chance of pulling the times forward half hour? Probably helps our Euro drivers too who are +1 hours  :-\ I just noticed it’s a 50min race starting at 8.45

Are you planning of using success ballast? It seems to be mixing it up in the 599 series and it might prevent the dominance of the last GT3 series.

Mentioning of ballast for a series would not have gone down well a few years ago.... good to see people are a bit more open about things. Not like its going to affect me tho.

I have been umming and arring about this subject, personally I don't mind as it probably wont effect me, I don't get much time to practice, let alone work on setups so I accept I will be at the back of the grid at the moment. I am happy to use the same ballast as the Wednesday night Fezza's. I will be finalising the series details this weekend

I am in the process of doing the driver list this weekend, I will put up an updated list on Monday so that everyone can confirm that the list is correct before I set up the booking list

I have setup the server ready for practice for next weeks first round of the GT3 series at Oulton Park!

great version of Oulton Park, way better than the version we had before, well found  :)

Feels a tad narrower than the real track in places, but otherwise looks and feels exactly as I remember it from a couple of trackdays  8)

Just to note if you already had an Oulton Park i.e one we have run before, there are 3 different track configs in seperate folders

Probalby worth removing all of them to avoid an issues

I was planning on using tyres x1, with fuel to be adjusted on a race by race basis to ensure we need to stop for a decent gulp of fuel at the pitstop

Good point spanner, I hope to get a chance to do it later tonight, if not it will probably be Saturday morning. Do you have any idea how much fuel/lap we are using at Oulton and laptimes?

The server has now been switched to booking mode, everybody's  car choice has now been set up, so if anyone gets a chance could they try logging on during practice or qually over the next couple of days to make sure I have entered there details correctly.

I have also set a mandatory pit window starting 10 minutes into the race and ending 10 mins from the end

A number have been on the server already, check stracker for the details. I think it quotes fuel usage.

And the fact you have set up the server as per the race event means we cant actually practise on it. I have to wait for the booking to end!

I will set the server back to practice tomorrow night, i switched to booking mode tonight for testing incase there were any problems.

Why do we need booking?

Make an entry list with everybody that signed up on it and leave a few empty slots as reserved slots.

Because it's GT3 and there are a billion and one car choices. If some random turns up, and his free car choice has gone, he'll nick that car off a pre-registered driver not yet joined.

Can't you make 1 entry per car. If a random joins then tough luck, should have signed up?

Don't think so, I'm sure we've got the spare entries at the start of the 599xx/963ST entry lists because if a random turned up they had the 1st available car. That meant we had people with the wrong skins.

Really? I think the wrong skins was when I messed up.

IMO I think we should service the people we have and not the people that might come and can't be bothered to sign up.

I have modified the server settings, it is still in booking mode but with the following settings:
booking - 3mins
Practice - 120 mins
Q - 5 mins
Race - 5 mins

hopefully spanner will be happy now ;)

I'll try ot explain it a bit more. But now i t might be my memory!

People can only join the server if they book beforehand. so if someone turns up and its running practise, qually or race they cant join. So setting booking mode means people can only register to in a short window. They then have to wait for the booking time to end before they can get on th server to drive.

A long booking time means people are going to have to wait along time to drive, a short booking time means people turning up at a random time are unlikely to time it right be in booking mode

No problems here, so probably something on your end? Do you have the correct version of Oulton park installed?

To find the server just search for  "org.uk" will find it instantly

Might be a new version on that site. clicking the download link the mediafire page says it was uploaded on 5th of Feb 2018. I downloaded my version on the 3rd of feb.

aside from the issues with checksum, can i just advise that we set the server up as it usually is, then just password the server.

also, i advise setting the following.

Practise or Qual - 4 hours
Race - 1 lap

as it is atm, you cant practise, if you try do it in the race each time you go back to pit you have to wait to regain control.

If your in race, just advance the session. I had that earlier, it did dump me back out, saying 'server is currently unavalailable' which i seem to be seeing alot recently, but could rejoin into the practise session.


Err yes, i notice the server seemed to have the race set for 240 minutes!

could someone just reset the server etc and make sure that the content has been updated etc..

Please may I apologise on behalf of the people who organise and run the events here for missing the fact the track has just been recently updated and aren't available to update the server 24/7.

I have put the race thread up for tomorrow nights race. please note that the fuel multiplier will be x2 and that there is a mandatory pitstop within a specified time window required.

I will update the server with the x2 fuel multiplier later today, I will also turn off the booking mode until tomorrow night. But people must realise that I have to test the server in booking mode prior to the event, if there are teething problems 8pm on race night is too late to sort it out!

I have set the fuel multiplier with minimal data (doing just two laps practice). If my calculations are right we should need one fuel stop, if anyone disagrees please shout out.
