Not gonna do this race. I just hate the GT3 too much to go for it. It's just no fun to drive whatsoever.

Yup, but the team's car is the GT3 with the additional skins. I might go with a default 360, not sure. I don't like to change cars in season.

The Morgan is great fun Ruskus. Best handling NGT car. It's not as slow as you'd might think. I took it in NGT Sprint Season 2 and did very well in it.

Thank God I said goodbye to that piece of (...) Porsche. A 1:42 was a Mission Impossible for me, but after 15 laps, I can do a 1:39.8 in the 360. And that sound...oooooweeeeeeee  :w00t:

So is that fine for Jeff to swap to the 360 instead of the GT3?

Please anything to stop him moaning about it....lol  ;D

Yes, car swapping is allowed in the interests of maintaining the fun factor.

Hehe, 996 is gr8 car  ..  ??? You can throw that thing in real aggresive and keep braking all day long.

F360 is just as difficult to learn imo.

I just hate the lift-off oversteer, the awefull brakes (locking all the way, new Christmass hit) and the bumpy suspension.
The 360 is so sweet to drive, very predictable, sounds and looks awesome.

The team shark sponsors are holding out on me at the moment. They had some expensive repairs to pay for to the Lambo after Laguna Seca, but I've started saving myself using my Team Shark salary, but after all the money I have to spend on fish I only have a few pennies left over for transfer fees.

Right, being fool time in this series I'm here for this tonight.  Gonna give the Morgan another go as I've been driving that a bit lately, just need to try and work the setup a bit, as all I've been doing previously is using the default race setup that came with the game ... I think it might be a good idea now.

If I can do just one lap without hitting one of those stupid posts I might do ok...... We should do two laps, one to knock them out, the other warm up !!!

Oh and Jeff we pay you in the happiness we bring to your lonely life as a student.... Think what it would be like with us old folk !!  :P

It should be written into the race rules for Magny that "whosoever shall be last on the grid shall be honour bound to remove the offending articles ( BOLLARDS...and they are a load of  ;D ) on the formation lap"   ;D

Even in happiness you are cheap ;). I know it's lonely in a nursing home, so that's why I keep you company, or else you would die of loneliness ;D

Oh, and for the person behind me in warm-up lap. Be carefull for my low speed in the last chicane. I've got to take care of business there first ::)

My Morgan setups are available here if you want to try one of mine. I've done a 1:40.8 on the qualifying one.

I can certainly recommend Shark's Morgan setup here, I'm almost as fast with it as the 360, only 0.2 difference.

I wouldn't do that. I think they are there for purpose. If they are gone we could see a lot of cutting, not to mention those strange "invisible cones" bug that can totaly destroy your car.

Nightmare race again.
Big apologies for the carnage I caused at the main straight hairpin on lap 1, made a complete mess of it and ploughed into Maurice causing a multi car smash.

Apart from that the race was OK until about 4 laps to go when the tyres suddenly died and it was like driving on ice, was so relieved when the race was over, lol.

Enjoyed that even if I wasn't competitive.

Span on lap one, but the car was relatively unharmed, got a reasonable rythmn going after that but just wasn't making any ground up on the guy infront.  Managed to avoid trouble in a couple of instances and then midway through had a good tussle with Aagramn until I span coming up to Imola, I got stuck in the sand, and had to pit to replace my tyres after smoking them whilst getting out of the kitty litter.  After that I was a 1:17 behind the guy infront, but I made up big chunks of time, no doubt to a lack of rubber towards the end of the race!  Was 17 secs behind on the penultimate lap, had a spin in Lycee, and followed Ruskus round to the finish (2 laps behind I might add!).

Starting to get it together now, so looking forward to next round.

Last minute decision to try the Mosler rather than my trusty F360, had just managed a 1:39.9 in off-line practice so was quite pleased and ready.

Times in qualifying were great, well done chaps. Didn't get near my 1:39 and ended up 7th? on the grid.

Had some good battles and then with 5 minutes or so to go I got the rear locked up and round she went. After that another couple of spins and decided to coast it home to make sure there weren't anymore mishaps finishing 7th. Good job as I only had vapour in the tank at the end. The Mosler fuel consumption far more than it said in the garage and that was with a fair bit spare in the first place.

One scarey moment when Paul's car froze in front of me and Emmo and we had to swerve round it in the last chicane then he reappeared half a lap later further up the road.  :o :)

Congrats to CJ, Ruskus and Paul for the top 3 and thanks for the excellent racing everyone.

Fantastic race ! 8)

Was well chuffed with qually, got a much better PB of 1:41.01 but still only qualied 9th behind all the aliens and the crafty bugger Truetom....you did me yet again in qualy, ya swine you  :P  This is becoming a real regular feature between you and i !

I had a great race ! 8)  Finished 6th behind the aliens and to make it better, i beat Sharky boy! :o...hehe, saw him spin late on in the race and i nipped by him on the inside into spoon?, he tried to come back at me and span again...muhaha ;D

Spent the whole race dicing first with RSM BIg G, then he lost it in the final chicane and by having to avoid hitting his car, RSM Grinsom sneaked past. :( Then spent a while dicing with the pair of them until  Big G fell away from us and i then spent the whole race chasing RSMGrinsom's bumper, always within 1-2 seconds of him for lap after lap....great racing right to the end, where i finished just behind him.
The fast bugger didnt make any errors, except the odd tyre lock up at the first hairpin. ::) Great racing.

Had great race pace throughout and was very pleased with 6th considering the other contenders on the track.

Replay (http://www.ukgtr.org/replay/Magny-Cours%20-%20NGT%20Sprint%20S3%20090506.zip) and provisional results available.

Had an interesting race basically following Jam, never more that about 5 secs between us but often 0.5  ;) Trouble was he was just a fraction quicker than me and made no real mistake. We caught Greg up with 3 or 4 laps to go but he held it together enough that we all remained in position to the end.

Great pace up front.

Was a little surprised the server wasn't fuller, we could have accomodated the grid on the old server! There were 14 slots free :(

Had an OK race in the end. Qualified quite well with a new PB but my race pace was lacking. My Mosler was very twitchy over the fast chicanes which didn't give me any confidence. Clipped an invisible bollard early on which lost me a couple places. Made a couple mistakes and had a long trip into the gravel at Adelaide, leaving me back in 18th. Decided to stick with it, and was pretty consistant for the rest of the race. Was pleased to finish 14th and grab the final point.

Excellent pace at the front of the grid again. Good win by CJ, was amazed how early in the race you caught and lapped me.

Did a PB in qually of 1:38.8xx. But ofcourse, Claus had to ruin it again and take pole ;).
Immediatly in race I noticed that Claus was gonna be way faster. But my race-pace was awefull. Yesterday I did constant 1:39's/1:40's, but now I was only in the 41's  42's :(.
I was slower than the guy infront, but faster than the one behind, so the same thing happenend as in Barca. I was between two groups, making it another booooooooooooooring race.
In lap 4 I just had to do it...knock out the posts in the last chicane. Because I couldn't see them, which made it extremely tricky to go through that chicane. Si I decided to cut it a bit to see if they were still there, and...yes. Damaged my aerondynamics a bit, but atleast now I knew they were gone.
Happy with being 2nd.
Grats to Claus

One thing that just seized to amaze me is that how many backmarkers spin infront of me. Don't get me wrong, not pissed, but it's just odd. This race another 5 or 6 people that I lap spin infront. This is pretty tricky because I have to make an evasive (sp?) manouvre. I also have problems seeing because of the smoke, and I lose concetration because of an unexpected manouvre. Just glad it didn't cause any problems yet.

Battled for 6th place for about 3 laps, then my front left wheel decided to go separate way - I cut a bit too much chicane. Pitted, came out one before last. Quit. Well done winner and others in front, awesome times. I made pb at 1.40.6xx and I was only 8th !  :o

Well done Mark, you proved to be more consistant than me in the race. My quali time was mere 0,4 seconds faster, I think, so we're fairly equal for some time now. Nice.  :)  Who leads in punting off the track?

I was blown away by the pace in qualifying. The pace in this NGT series is amazing  :thumbup2:

Started in 12th, grabbed a couple of places, then lost them back (and a few more) almost immediately missing my braking point. I worked hard for a few laps to get back on terms with Mark@GP who then span coming out of the final chicane. I had nowhere to go but the wall which resulted in a broken splitter, I decided it was too dangerous to try for an entire lap back to the pits so I retired.

Thanks for the lap charts Ruskus, they are great! You can never have too many stats ;D

Well pleased to get 3rd at a track I've never got on with before. Like others I couldn't get a good qual lap but was happy with 5th. Made up a place when Matjas hit the bollards at the last chicane and held up Emmo, and then another 2 corners later when Matjas speared off the road. Then spent several laps fending off Emmo, who was dynamite down the straight but not quite so good round the back. In the end he totally outbraked himself into the hairpin, I had to stay wide to avoid being taken out but managed to get round OK. Then had Shark behind, who as usual was plugging away with those annoyingly consistent fast laps. When he eventually went off it was Emmo again but quite a few seconds back, and I held on for 3rd - very satisfying  :) Ruskas ahead was just too fast for me to worry about and Ceejay was on a different planet - well done to those two.

Brno next, which is much more my cup of tea. Can't wait  :jumpjoy:

Paul

I think I may be one of the offending spinners .... can't remember clearly, if it was me it was at T1 late in the race (penulltimate lap??), but I'm pretty sure I was well out of the way before you got there.  I have spun infront of the leaders on a couple of occasions - been watching my mirrors to help make sure I don't make a nuisance of myself .... and lose concentration and spin because of it  ::) .  Oh the shame of it all.

Really, really enjoyable race. Had a change of setup in the GT3 just before Qually and subsequently ended up 20th on the grid!!!!!!

Race got under way and I must say that was one of my cleanest drives ever, didn't seem to put a foot wrong  :D
Had 2 absolutely fantastic battles going on with Don and Picnic. I was chasing Don for all I was worth for many laps and it was only going to be a matter of time before one of us made an error, thankfully it wasn't me  ;)

Having pushed so hard with Don my tyres paid the price and I was only ever a fraction away from spinning under pressure from Picnic (you don't know how close to getting past me you were  ;) ) Fortunately I managed to keep him at bay by pushing hard, backing off to cool tyres, then pushing again. About 4 or 5 laps from the end I was suddenly faced with a dilemma when we caught Greg after a spin, do I try and pass him with shot tyres and risk taking us both off or back off a little and try to protect my position against Picnic? In the interests of not p***ing off my new team guv I chose the safe option of backing off, knowing that at least one of us would finish in front of the pesky Picnic and therefore hopefully deprive Team Shark of additional points ;) . I can safely say that I was relieved to finish when I did as my tyres were so bad I wouldn't have held off another Shark attack.

Anyway finished 11th before moderation, which I'm very pleased with given the outstanding pace displayed in the race.

Not many times I had such a clean proper race by myself ! No mistakes ! oh.the tyre lock is normal.nothing to worry about  ;D

so after tha start I found myself behing Big G and M. Jonzo.
as I was always closing in on the brakes but couldn`t get the speed out of the corners I decided to stay behind not atacking and waiting in patiance for my moment.....I think it was lap 3 where G and J did a mistake in the final chicane...and I was really lucky to pass those 2 without contact.

from then on I was just going lap by lap..catching up the ones in front whilte they were in positons battles involved and I had a clear track.but I wasn`t fast enough to get close in enough.so my decesion was to keep a constant "smooth" pace.
a bit worried bout the car behind me not getting rid of it.never knew that it was M.J.

all my psoitions were made by mistakes of other guys, I started 11th and finished 5th...ok for me  ;D ;D

bit worried in the end bout the closing in of M.J., but I saw that I was better on the brakes, so not serious worried but lucky in the end to end up in front of him.......I was even hoping to get Emmo in the last 2 laps cause he made mistakes, but wasn`t enough !

good race guys..lokking forward to the next one !

If somebody has a replay, I can do a video with the help of the lapchart. I asked RS, but I think he acts as fast on track, as off ;)

Yes I should have a full client replay. I'll get it to you tonight when I get home.

Don't use it all at once! Already up to 54% of my bandwidth for the month.  :o

What bandwidth have you got Simon? I have bandwidth we could use, but it would be useful to know how much you are using at the moment.

I think it's 20Gb a month and 10Gb is used so far this month.
Might be good if I could upload the addon tracks that we are using somewhere so at least those downloads are off a different site.

My business website has 50Gb a month and about 600Mb free at the moment. It is not being used much at the moment although that may change. While things are quiet, if you want some files hosting then just drop me a line and I'll set it up.

For the only GT Legends track so far yes Tyf, the GTR tracks might not necessarily have been from TyfDesk and the GTR ones I've made into proper GTR Manager downloads with any updates from other locations. I've made them GTR Manager zips so if we ever update them they will be versioned.

Would be great if we could have a UKGTR specific section on TyfDesk where we could be official UKGTR tracks for download, would be helpful. Is that possible and to get upload details?

Making all the downloads on there GTR Manager pr00f would prolly take a long time, but I'll look into that. Need to change loads of stuff to the site, which I will hopefully start on this coming week. 1 Page per track for instance with more info on what's actually in the download, lol! (picture, version, updates, etc :))

PM me about what u mean with a UKGTR specific section plz m8. At the moment I'm thinking that could end up with hosting multiple instances of the same file (track), which is not a good idea imo :). But we'll have to see.

Website Gurus still in dire need btw, lol! :D

P.S. There's so much u can do with this site it's mind boggling for a design-n00b like me :). Databases, ASP, PHP, etc !? Can't see the forest for the trees tbh :D/
