Fuel guage doesn't work though...typical Italian car  ;D

ha, you are right, it was fuel pressure  :P  in my defence all I could see was the gauge with Benzina on it. The proper fuel gauge was further down out of cockpit view until I adjusted it.  :)

Great fun these cars, but rather frustrating, They understeer if you lift, and oversteer like mad if you hit the power too much.
I have tried max rear grip to make the back end more stable, and lots of front grip to get the nose round faster, either works
but you still have to drift a lot to get a decent time, which for me works sometimes, and sometimes means rallycrossing.

How do the quicker people set up the car? leave it default? or move the balance to the rear?

Great race that, these cars are awesome. Big thanks to our Italian friends for filling the grid up and making it a spectacle  :thumbup1: don’t know where all the regular racers  have gone  ???  Bob, Sutol , Frex etc ?

I had quite decent pace in the regular 48’s in race trim so should have been battling with a couple of cars ahead but I got an unwanted ‘Scandinavian flick’ early in the race when I braked for the tighter turn 3  :( That put me near the back and had to fight my way back through which was fun but cost more time.
I was taking a sec a lap out of 7th ahead but ended up 8th. Thoroughly enjoyed it though  :)

Matt, I put more neg toe and tad more rear brake to turn the nose in. Set my fastest times with a softer rear spring (one notch) but opted for stock in the race as hadn’t had time to test a soft rear with a full tank. Was good for low 48’s. Guys up front had amazing pace so like to know what they tweaked.

unfortunately ill health has been a big factor in lack of racing recently, and on top of that I will be away from home for a couple of months from early July but hope to be back as soon as.

don’t know where all the regular racers  have gone  ???
Lack of talent  ::) I tried the car offline before the season started and couldn't work out how to stop it going in a straight line. My inability to understand car setups meant whatever I tried never made things better.

Sorry to hear, get well soon Bob  :)

@picnic, I found the default setup fine, just a minor tweak of toe to help turn in.  ??? Car felt great straight out of the box. The car is great fun to drive.

I think I've lost my mojo with AC. I think one of the updates messed with something. I have absolutely no feel in the cars now. Complete opposite to RRE which I struggled in initially bit now I can race with people I'm no where near in AC.

Yesterday the qualyifing session was fantastic. Only 80 milliseconds between first and second position!

The race was less difficult than Goodwood. In this race I haven't make mistakes in the first laps. My opponents instead do that so for me was easy to maintain the first position.
Great race everyone. See you in the next race, hopefully with more drivers on the track  ;D

Yes, I have been looking on enviously at this series as this is my favourite car in the game - wouldn't profess to be any good in it, but it's hugely entertaining! Wednesday evenings have been a no go for me recently however, although that may be about to change. If so I will be certainly be re-joining.

What wheel do you use? Do you use the ffb clip app? Tried that controller recommendations link we stickied from RD?

I’ve just stumped up for a nifty clubsport 2.5 base and alacantra gt wheel from Fanatec. The quality is top drawer with the quick release wheel etc. Can’t wait to try it out  8) My older Wheel was pretty good and has lasted well for nearly 5 yrs but this takes it to another level.

The joys of having access to CAD and a workshop - the wheel won't be touched for a while but I'm currently designing a selection of new shifters  ;D

Starting with a sequential for the V8's, probably a hand brake next for fun, then the hard one :
A floor mounted H pattern....

I have a Fanatec Clubsport with F1 rim - was 2nd hand but you couldn't tell it from new. The chap who had it before immediately got in to Flight Sims and never ended up using it much.

I've not tried the ffb clip app. I have enough difficulty finding time to race I really don't expect to have to find time to fix a game first. Is it really that hard for these people to ship working FFB in their games?

This was the 1st car I tried before race night in a coupe of years, usually practice is the 1st chance I get to see a car.

Have you made sure you have the latest drivers and firmware for the wheel? Quite important for the fanatecs I believe.  :-\
Ffb clip app isn’t a wheel fixer, it just adjusts the gain and ffb to reduce clipping or canned effects

I'll check the software but I thought it prompted if a new version was available. I do have a pending update to FanaLED, or whatever it's called, but that's not going to affect the wheel and feel/feedback.
