Well, what could I possibly say. Sorry Dieter.

Got a start, then everything else was a comedy of errors.

Sorry again Dieter.

Yep, a good race.  ;D Thanks for coming to test with us Riccardo  8)
Shame I lost it somewhere, I was having a great race with Spanner, might have given Riccardo a race if we hadn't
dropped back. Pete is just peerless in the Volvo, For me at this track the fastest cars (which for me probably means the easiest)
were the Little Beemer, either group, they seem to be the same, was great to throw it around here, The volvo is a good mix of
power and not too hard to drive, I like the Opel , but it's a bit heavy for here, likewise I can't drive the Audi here.

bravery awards go to Frex for taking the big beemer, and Spanner for trying to tame the Mustang  :thumbup1:

Pete might have had a harder time if Gavino had managed to race  ;)

These will get a series, maybe a Tonyesque most popular or, if a tie, most succesful car gets dropped for the next round
as we have quite a few to choose from.

I've lent my monitor to someone. I have his but it won't mount on my race frame so I drove using the Rift for the 1st time in RRE. Since I last tried it it does seem better, the seating position and FOV are pretty much like AC/iRacing now. I was prating around for most of a hour before race start sorting that out.

I took the Volvo as I have a V40 IRL so a bit of brand loyalty. No idea how quick the other cars are. Was the same story in the recent WTCC championship. Maybe I guess lucky ;) Enjoyed the race, the car was a bit like an faster more powerful NSU. Assuming you can get the thing turned in it was question of how much oversteer you got dictating corner lines and exit speeds. Most lurid slides are catachable with the penalty of losing a little momentum. I like I can catch 95% of the slides unlike some of these high downforce cars we sometimes race.

With that selection of cars you would have had a job to act Tonyesque!  ;) That was the first time I've really enjoyed the track thanks to lappers showing me the line around the second chicane and following tight section of track. I was much more confident after that. Had nasty moment when I found a battered and stationary Mustang with bits and pieces spread over the track.  ::)

Was just a reference  :P
I did a lose one car per event series in P&G a few years ago, not sure who started it, probably legzy.

6 Events per series 8 cars from the groups, drop one car each event leaves 2 cars for the final
The little beemers seem to be the same in each group but the numbers work better if we count
them as 2.

Next week will be the Gr5/GTO cars. I will have to put on another non-champ event the week after
as I am away from this evening for two weeks (ish) then away in Brum, and Snetterton the following weekend
so no time to do stuff.

I joined initially with the Mustang, but after appearing to be quite a bit quicker than the other cars I decamped into something a bit slower. However, when Pete got up to speed he was easily matching my Mustang times, so in hindsight I wish I'd stayed in it - might have given him a better race. Maybe.

Still a fun track to drive as always, but after the first lap it all got a bit strung out, with big (and increasing) gaps ahead and behind. Congrats to Pete and Riccardo.

Well, what could I possibly say. Sorry Dieter.

Sorry again Dieter.

No worries! The Audi is from a later era than the touring car group, so likely has better brakes and a shorter braking distance - would have caught me out too for sure. Only regret is that it dropped you to the back - we could have had a decent battle maybe otherwise.
