Title: UKGPL Season 33 (2018) 1966 F1 - Oulton Park - Jun 19 Post by: Rainier on June 10, 2018, 09:20:29 AM +0100 Season 33 Historic Trophy - Round 3 – Oulton Park
Round 3 takes place at Oulton Park in the UK. The track is set in the grounds of Oulton Hall, which were used as an army staging camp by General Patton prior to the Normandy landings. At this time the famous boxer Joe Louis gave exhibition bouts at Oulton Park in the vicinity of the Deer Leap section of the circuit. GPL members are kindly requested not to resort to this sort of behaviour. The track is characterised by rapidly changing gradients, blind crests and several tight corners. The full circuit is 2.8 mi (4.5 km). The full time drivers can start to practice as soon as the server is available. Reserve drivers can also join as soon as the server becomes available but must leave the server with 35 minutes of qualifying left, for a total of 5 minutes; this will allow any remaining full timers to join. If there is enough space on the grid, the reserve drivers will be able to rejoin when there are 30 mins of qualifying left. Please restrict chat to pit messages including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.
Drivers must complete 50% of each race to score. Only reported incidents will be moderated, there is no Red Zone. Handicapping and chassis allocation. This season the Historics will be using a token system which allows drivers to purchase any chassis of their choice, 2 litre or 3 litre, for a given number of tokens as published on the championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=640&theme=6). Drivers classed as Amateurs will be allocated an additional 10 tokens. The token allocation will not be managed in SRou this season so (unlike the 67F1 Works and 67F1 Privateer divisions) the tokens available to each driver will not appear in the championship table (when the mouse pointer is hovered over the driver's total). Rather, the available tokens will be published in the race announcement. See below. Normally I would expect to have a similar lap time bit you were easily ahead last night. After you & Bastian were out I lost concentration when Prob told me Tristan was close behind. Did not realise he was out! The 66 gives a real reward to those who can survive - even if they have not done some proper practice.

For the next race the available tokens will be as declared in the table below (the table will also appear in the next race announcement). The calculated values are automated but selecting the cars is a manual process so please check your tokens to make sure I haven't made a silly error. There was no token overspend for this round so no one is disqualified.
