Here are the details for the Bi-weekly Assetto Corsa V8 Supercar Championship

We will be recreating the Australian Supercars Championship using cars from the real series on almost all the tracks in the Calendar

The race format:

40 minute mini enduro with 1 pitstop (to be taken after the first 10 minutes and before the last 10)
With the exception of Sandown, Bathurst and Surfers Paradise which as in the real life series will be longer and count towards the 'Enduro Cup' (as well as the main championship). These races will be 50 mins long

8pm practice
8:30 Qualifying
8:45 Race

Scoring Scheme:
All rounds count
Points: 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1

This series will use success ballast:

Only the podium positions will receive extra weight. The weights are distributed like this:

1st) +60kg
2nd) +40kg
3rd) +20kg
4th) +0kg
5th) -20kg
6th) -40kg
7th) -60kg

The maximum weight is going to be 100kg and not attending a race will not make you lose the ballast and it will be brought to the next event.

We will race the first three races using the following multipliers, then review the situation and maybe tweak it:

tyres x1



Could interested racers please post in this thread with their car choice (from the 2018 skinpack). Depending on the number of competitors i will use the pre-booking server if needed.
FYI:
all three car types have the same physics so it is only the look of the cars and colour scheme that are different
If more than one person wants the same car skin it is not a problem as we can allocate the same skin more than once

I'll be in a Holden but will need to remove all the additional skins I downloaded last time to see what is available.

I'd like to suggest extending the score down a bit so that we all pick up points of some value.

Ha Ha - you think we'll regularly get more than 10 drivers! I hope we do but Sunday's haven't generated those sorts of numbers for some time now.

As the holidays are almost over for a lot of people, is it an idea to post the race format info on the assettocorsa.net forum too? Might attract a new racer or two?

Is it also possible to join on the fly, without signing up and picking a skin? Seeing as we aren't using ballast at the moment, the only reason to be on the entry list is for the car/skin. I don't want to keep signing in and out every time I can or cannot make a race  :-\.

Have you had a chance to check the server file yet? I had the wrong car last time out ;)

Yes i have checked the server file, it was correct. For some unknown reason when people log on to the server it is hit or miss whether it recognises your GUID. It happens to me as well sometimes.

As far as i know when you log on now you will be given the choice of Falcon, Commodore or Altima. The game will then decide which skin you get, (I think it will be the first free skin on the server file for the car type you choose)

If you want, I can look at the entry list file for you and maybe see what is wrong with it.

I have decided to replace the 'Telstra Sydney 500 Homebush street circuit' with the 'Desert  400 Bahrain circuit'

The Sydney track has a few very narrow and tight corners and is not the best quality.

I've just noticed the next few rounds have download links pointing at nogrip.
Have you got any alternatives as nogrip is now gone?
