With despleasure i think to miss also the race on my track.
The virdict ,on my PC,is hard disk broken. A long time to reinstal all(not only gpl) so i think to do all in time for the race.

When HDD is broken, you will hear noise of it, like loud clicks...
and it would say no Harddisk is found!
It did not seem to be, as you had the option to use the "last working" , so I think some system files are corrupted...

Buy a new ~250GB SSD and install W7 system on it, later you can recover the GPL folder from the old HDD without new install.

Not for the incident
Do you mean our side by side contact on lap 1?  If so sorry about that.

If you have a new windows installation the power settings are probably set to default which means the monitor will switch off after a period of inactivity. Unfortunately windows doesn't think GPL counts as activity! I suggest you disable power saving for the monitor.

Usual chaos for me. I've been having trouble with my old G25 H-Shifter, I can't get reverse gear any more so I thought I'd treat myself to a new Thrustmaster TH8A (https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjflI39iv_cAhXpBcAKHdnuAVAQFjABegQICRAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thrustmaster.com%2Fproducts%2Fth8a-add-shifter&usg=AOvVaw2e6eCNnTb9p1CIxoCziQBE) shifter. It works great and I can get reverse gear now.  I just need to fathom out how the forward gears work!

I'm OK circulating on my own but as soon as I'm in a race with other drivers there is so much to think about I start missing gears.  I must have spun or gone wide about 10 times in that race because of missed gears. However practice makes perfect so I'm just going to have to keep trying. The TH8A is a big improvement but I need to learn how to use it.

In Windows 7 control panel:

Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings

You need to set "Turn off the display" and "Put the computer to sleep" to at least 3 hours.

Thank you.I forgot several things.Yesterday evening i was not able to join the race, after few minutes i have realized to forgot the bandwith patch.
There are so many things to reinstal GPL that is possible to go in confusion.
Now i have another problem witn the 66 mod.I start with the version 1 but when i click on the green button(not GEM)the game don't start and after few second crash. If i overwrite with V2 crash after clicking the green of GEM.I don't remember if there was something to do.

I didn't realise that there was  V2 for Killarney until I tried to join the race. Qualifying was seriously delayed. V2 looks rather more pleasing than the original so thanks to Fran for the track build. I needed a few laps to adjust to the braking points. Got the lap time to a reasonable level when I came across a Brabham rolling across the track. From Bastians post I now see what happened. Don't bother to report - it was accidental. The SnG set up a great battle with Jack. I managed to pass once off track & once on but gave the place back very quickly. Result & performance were nothing to celebrate but it was very absorbing. Topped off with a warm shower & a cold beer.

Same here, I had been practicing on the original version that pulls you from pillar to post and had been playing with the toe in to minimise it.

Once I got it installed and on to the server I reset the toe in to normal and had a pretty good qually.

I was running with a group of Pros and let Clive past on the straight to chase Angex and I followed them for a while but I had some pace to spare and left them to their battle until Clive pulled over and it got spread out, then I started to wind it up a bit as I was losing concentration.

Had a spin and lost a couple of places but regained them after their spins and was running third on the last lap when I locked a wheel into the last turn and ran wide. Luckily I kept it facing the right way and made it back to the track just in time to stop Dean stealing my podium.

Backmarkers were great, though Billy made it interesting into T1 when he had a moment on the kerb.

Great track and a good, fun race.

I believe I have now won the Championship for Int drivers.

Hopefully we will have more in 65s next season and perhaps run 3 divs as I seem to be in between the two levels. If not I would be happy to run in Ints with less tokens or perhaps in Pros with more tokens but I don't believe I'm consistent enough yet.

Food for thought.

Not the most satisfying race  ::)
I think the GPL random breakdown gremlins were lurking in my Honda last night :-\ I was running gears that were a notch higher than ideal to protect the engine, and still broke a camshaft!!! Just when I was beginning to get the feel for the car and track. Fortunately I was able to pull off the track before I got in anyone's way.

Grats to Ziu and the podium and to James for the Ams championship.
