Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

I was on the server earlier today and the RRE text was all red so I restarted it. Seemed ok, there was no sign of a needed updated then. I'll be doing the AC results later tonight, or first thing tomorrow, so will check again then.

There was nothing queued at the time I checked, I was on before the updated landed so I suspect there might be one now. I will check later after tonight's races are done and dusted

RRE was down for maintenance Tuesday when I had a free morning. Busy week shopping and preparing for trip to visit family in High Wycombe next week. In practice had terrible time couldn’t get the stupid car to turn around corners on this track - I hate these cars. Will give it another go this morning but doubtful I’ll race tonight. ???

I've updated the server this morning, massive 50MB download ;)

Matt you might want to check what I've configured. The webpage used to setup the server has changed significantly and there's a chunk of driver assists I don't recall from before. So I've meddled with them. You might want to double check I've not done anything wrong. It's rare but has been known to happen in the past  ::)

Excellent race  ;D
Shame people dropped out, there were enough falling off to have someone to race with sooner or later.
 :fencing:

Need to turn off auto gears on the server as well, It was set to choose, but mine chose for me  ::)
I had to drop and set it as manual auto clutch on my system

It's a shame I never practice, takes too long to get in to the swing of these.

Can anyone explain the engine damage light flashing, especially on the long downhill straight after T2? Once it stopped there didn't seem to be any residual engine damage.

JP was in a different league tonight  :'(

No worries Eck. Cannot get into a good rhythm with these cars, they seem very inconsistent. Can do an odd quick lap, as in qually, but braking seems a bit of a lottery, brake in same place, sometimes slow well before the corner, other times overshoot. Still was fun for a few laps, but ran out of talent in the end & kept making more & more mistakes.

Congrats to the podium guys.

Had that too, all around the track, had an off track excursion & it went out!  ???

Very Funny Race!
Grats to John for the pace and constancy.
In qualy i didn't do my best .. it was late and i wasn't warmed lap at all
Race; with a good start i can see the rear bumber of my team mate Gengotti , but he is faster than me.
With a personal race pass i can see again riccardo e i think how to overtake him, but i did a little mistake .
Finished third.

Thank your for your hospitality english gentlemens drivers

great cars great track great race !

I did notice the engine warning flashing all the time and a little red did appear on the bar by the end of the race so must have been pushing it on the limit! I think the art to driving these cars is to set the brake bias to 54 then brake early maintaining corner speed and accelerate from the apex. Braking late and hard the car will not turn and oversteer wide! losing all the pace. I can upload my set up if anybody is interested?
Hopefully I can make time to continue with this championship as I do have a lot of time for these cars ....loving the noise they make! great work Sector 3 and i must admit I am liking the new GT4 class i think that would be a good addition to maybe a series next year?

JP

Good advice John. For me, most of the R3E cars need the bias set well towards the back from default
like typically 52 front, some need 50/50. They don't want to turn in under braking, I think that may
have been Bill's problem, you need to unload the front for them to turn in. And I also love these cars
I enjoy the immersion of the things, the sound just make me grin every time I leave the pits  ;D
the look of them when you are following a few (which is normally the case for me...)
I was watching 3 cars dicing for the first lap or two, and it looked fabulous, I then had some
fun trying to stay in front of those that went off. Managed to just keep in front of Eck to the end
after his last off. I understand that these cars don't get a lot of love from everyone, but enough people
were supportive when I was asking for suggestions pre season that they deserve an outing.

GT4 looks interesting, I haven't tried them yet. If people want it, and Stephen doesn't want to run
them On Sundays, then we could run a series Thursdays next March.

I think you're right as after racing GTL 1950s cars where changing down to soon locks up the rear end I've tried to avoid locking up rear end under heavy braking by biasing them to the front! Not certain what I use on RRE cars but am trying too brake late, I obviously use the wrong technique.  ::)

Willing to try GT4 if you do run them on Thursdays.
