Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

Once again I employed a purely scientific car selection stragety....and seem to have ended up with the wrong car lol.

I did try the DB4, and it was the quickest in my clumsy hands, but it appeared to be consuming rubber at an alarming rate  :o, so logic dictated that as I had more Healey drives left, I should use one of those.
My few practice laps in the DB4 had shown a best of 1:20, so possibly I might have trimmed a second off of that, but I doubt that I would have got close to Erling, or that tentacle waving alien who purports to be human and calls himself Geoff!!!
So I found myself on a grid surrounded by DB4's, which I knew had a better top speed than my heavy Healey, but for all of it's faults the Healey did feel very solid through the corners and some offline laps and calculator had shown that I might get 16-17 laps on a tank of fuel. The first laps were a fight against Fulvios fast DB4 where I was just quick enough through the important corners to stay ahead. Gradually I built a nice gap, then threw it all away by missing my turn in point on a corner and lost 4-5 secs getting off the grass and back up to speed. Fulvio upped his pace when he saw me ahead, and for a few laps I thought that he might catch me and drag Bob with him. But I guess that Fulvio had his own incident and he suddenly dropped back.
So a set of tyres with a splash and dash was the plan and I was watching the fuel and tyres carefully after Geoff and Erling pitted at around half distance as I pushed on until lap 17 . I did consider risking the "no tyres" option as, despite heavy wear, the Healey still felt quite stable, But another 6 laps might just be a lap too far?
Geoffers and Erling powered past whilst I was in the pits, but I was very suprised to emerge from the stop with the gap back to 4th place almost doubled??? Most cars had stopped around the 11-13 lap area and got fresh rubber, I had been driving very steadily on used tyres and somehow extended the gap.....I'm not complaining about that!!
It was a lonely last 6 laps and I rolled in 3rd. ( although GTL stopped my car right on the finish line yet again?? it did the same at Thruxton where my Mini was catapulted into the scenery?? )

Grats to Geoff and Erling and to all who finished, these cars make me smile  ;D.

Figured it was time for one of the cars I hadn't used yet, which meant either Fezza or Aston.  Both suffer from atrocious tyre wear, with the Aston being the more entertaining, as it eats the rears first, whereas the Fezza is the other way round and just becomes more and more understeery, with my setups anyway.

Until venturing online, my pb had been a 2:20.3, so well pleased with dipping into the 2:19s during qual, only to find Geoffers posting impossible 2:17 times!  How I got within 0.7 secs of that, I have no idea, but took some effort for sure.

Tried to stay close enough to Geoffers after the start, to at least keep him honest, but an impossible task and he soon buggered off.  Behind me, Clive was dropping back roughly twice as fast as Geoffers was disappearing, so soon I was all alone.  Very boring race, if not for the concentration required to try and drive the Aston fast.  In fact, the only bit resembling excitement came from wondering if Clive was ever going to stop - guess that was payback for Porto a few years ago..  ;)   Was 99.997% certain he hadn't made an undercut though - his car appeared too early for that when I pitted myself, even is he had just been in for a quickie.

Grats to Geoffers on a win never in question, and to Clive for completing the podium.

As I had used all my Healey drives & was saving the Merc for Aintree & Zandvoort, it was a choice of the Aston or Ferrari for this race. Aston proved to be about half a second faster than the Fezza so went with that, did try the Merc out of interest & got a lap time in between the other two.

As seems usual recently I surprised myself with the 2.17 lap in qually, had only just got in the 2.18s before.Got a decent start & took the lead, gradually pulled away from Erling & had around 10s in hand when I pitted at the end of lap 11. Got a bit worried by about lap 15 & Clive was still out  in front, had he pitted early & not taken any tyres  ???  surely the Healey can't go so far on a thankful. Apparently it could & I was rather relieved when I eventually saw the evil one in the pits. Last couple of laps the car got suddenly very tricky to drive as the tyre grip took a nosedive, but I had plenty in hand by then so could nurse the car home.

Congrats to Erling & Clive on the podium

I hope my countrymen are treating you decently - the weather could be better for sure  :) - you're in Jylland I assume ?   Incidentally, I'm going through Germany next week, on my way to the Alps, but car's acting up and mechanic can't figure out what's wrong, so may have to cancel  :-\

Quiet race for me, mainly running on my own for most of the race, but still enjoyable as I like this track. That's all my Aston Martin drives used up now.
