Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Whaddayaknow, everything still works. Might as well jump in this one rather than wait another week.
Hehe, it's been a while. Oodles of rust expected.

Edit: Shortest come-back ever. I got stuck INSIDE a house. Pretty sure that's a first in all my years of GTL.
Hope y'all had a good one.

LOL, Dominick. Found myself caught in the courtyard of that particular house in free practice too - nice prison :-D

Could have been a nice one and a nice battle with Tony in the identical Healey.
But with two cut warnings after two laps I was aware that this one would be another non finish  :P
That is obviously my private war as I never gain time or even places when I get the cut warning.

Took long until I managed to master this track and especially the jump, although it was not the first time we raced here.

CU next time.

More about my dismal race later.....

However, there were no freezes for me last night when cars joined. I did check that I had ISDN selected and cars to join "in garage" already, which seems to be the preferred options and all worked fine.

Later today I will look through the multiple installs for all of the GTL series and double check that they all have the same options in play, just in case there is a discrepancy. But I am not expecting to find anything odd because until recently they all worked fine....but one never knows.  ;)

An evening of screw-ups probably best describes it..

Most screwed up qual - ever - I think.  1st on track as usual. Screw up jump, rolling car. Restart, now last.  Fighting with Clive for position, which helped neither one.  Abort, restart, screw up jump, abort, restart behind Geoffers. Waved through when he lost momentum, realize gearing is all wrong; too short, abort. Puzzled, as right setup is still loaded.  Restart, finally a good lap.  Just time for one more, exploded car left black cloud, lost orientation, cut corner, lap void.  Still, despite all this, I shaved a full sec off my pb in the one good lap - only to find Geoffers 2 secs quicker...  bleedin' impossible...  :censored:

Dan got ahead at the start (of course). Can't say if it was due to being too close behind him, underestimating lack of grip on cold tyres, or just general driver ineptitude, but I strayed too close to the left bank after T1, and it promptly grabbed the car, whirling it round.  Apologies to Clive, whom I caught in the process. Only realized that when looking at the replay. Ended up on my roof, on the wrong side of fence. Had to smash through, got going, wheel outside track, clipped bank and spun 180ยบ  :cursing:   With the Aston's refusal to spin its wheels, I couldn't whip it round under power and had to reverse, pausing to let an approaching car (Clive) past.

Thus seriously last when I finallly got going.  Slowly worked my way through the field, to 2nd place. Geoffers was more than 30 secs ahead and still increasing the gap, as if to mock me further.  With such a gap, it was almost certain he would change tyres.  I could have gambled and not done so. However, had done a 10 lap stint in praccy, saving the game. Reloaded repeatedly, trying to continue without changing tyres, but every single time I ended with a wrecked car. Thus didn't dare not changing them. Had to repass Roger after the pit stop, as he skipped the tyre change and slipped ahead again.  Geoffers still some 30 secs ahead.  Did close the gap a little in the 2nd half, but only due to Geoffers cruising slowly round.  Had I been closer, there's no doubt he could just have turned up the wick.

Grats to Geoffers on the win & Championship   and to Roger for filling the podium.

Good result but ultimately a fairly lonely race.

Like most of this track except for that confounded jump (which others seem to love ???). Had done a 2.27.0 in testing so was expecting maybe a mid 2.26 in qually, astounded to go a second faster than that  :o. Still was expecting Erling to give me a good race in the other Aston, but after his faux pas on lap one it didn't materialise. Had Dan close behind for a couple of laps but then he dropped away leaving me with a comfortable lead. Didn't need to push hard so concentrated on keeping it tidy, which often results in faster laptimes, & not hurt the tyres too much even though I was planning on changing them.
Only had two mishaps, overshot my pit stall & had to reverse & then stalled the engine, luckily the pitboard came up at that precise moment & with around 5 laps to go I got very crossed up through the LHer before Forsthaus (the tight RHer at the end of the lap) & struck the straw bales hard. Fortunately the car bounced back facing the right way & I carried on only losing around 4-5s with no real damage.

Congrats to Erling on a great recovery drive & to Rog in 3rd.
