Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Note early race start.

Could it be that Bob's position in the results is wrong? I saw him pull over for a few seconds (mid race?) but not long enough to lose so many positions to end last but one.

I had a CTD.  So went to the sand and took a while to get cranked back up and on track.  Fell  in behind Dom, but he was having real problems and I passed him.  Then just drove to the end.  Have no idea about placement at the end.

Race 1: sorry for sleeping at start, but there was another sleeping ahead  ::) ;D
I had a nice battle with Dominick, I could pass him towards the end only for a mistake by him.
Race 2: great battle with Bob and Matt, sorry Matt for a dive bomb at T2, it was fantastic your drifting there  ;D
I wouldn't seat on Clive car, too much frightening!  :o
Ciao

Dan

According to my XD tool Bob was in fact in last place. But I was a bit surprised about that too.

According to Analyzer Bob had one lap over 4 minutes, how long were you off track with the CTD Bob? Could be that in your off track excursion you missed an intermediate timing line so the game didn't credit you with that lap.

Both my races went quite well, just the one problem, Ziu was too quick! ::)

First race was a race long chase of Ziu, after a bit of a slow first couple of laps I was matching his pace & even closed the gap for a few laps but the tyres gave up after about 10 laps & I could not catch him.

Second race was less exciting, after grabbing the lead at the start Ziu powered past on the first lap & disappeared into the distance. So had a fairly lonely race to 2nd place.

Congrats to Ziu on two wins & Erling on two 3rds.

Don't worry about it guys.  Like I said GTL crashed me back to the desktop.  Was a fun race anyway.  Not a big problem for me.  Stuff just happens sometime with PC's, my old unit is probably in need of replacement, still running Win 7, video card is maybe 8-9 years old.  Think I bought it shortly after the GTL/GTR combo pack came out now that I think about it.

That probably what happened Geoff, but as I said no problem,  "Ill get you all next time"!!!!!!!

More fun than race one  :D. I think this was my race with the most faults and offs I ever had ;D .
What happened to Dan, who was with the fastest in quali but very slow during the race.

Stardust has never been my favorite, but quite liked the track in yesterday's races.

Race 1:
Didn't want to use the Pontiac again, so went with the Chevelle as the next best option.  Wondering whether the Impala is broken - is it really supposed to handle so atrociously bad ?

Purely by chance I for once got a good start, and Dan got a bad one, no less :o  And what happens ?  Matt bogs down in front of me, so I had to come right off the gas again, letting Dan get away - you just can't win..  ::)  Slipped past Matt & Clive in the confusion through the first couple of corners, and then Dan on L2, when he went off at the hairpin.  Matt not far behind, and very much doubted I would be able to keep him behind, as he was clearly quicker in qual.  After 6 laps he disappeared however, presumably to serve a S/G.  Replaced by Clive, but he went off on the same lap, hitting the titanium fence, possibly damaging the car; I didn't see him again after that, and the rest of the race was a lonely affair.

Do wonder about the results posted by Kurt - they claim I passed Matt & Dan on L2, when in reality, I passed Matt on L1, & Dan on L2 - they even show Matt overtaking Geoffers and being in 2nd, which never happened, at least not according to my replay.  I got a cut warning on L1, and results shows Matt got warnings on L1 & L2.  Wonder if the Autosim analyzer doesn't work properly, if laptimes aren't recorded as counting ?

Race 2:
Just don't have time to test all these car/track combos, so stayed with the Firebird, which was the first (and only one ) I tried, when I found it to be quite nice.   Clive was napping at the start, so I nicked his place.  Later on L1, he reclaimed it.  Got the impression in qual that my car was quicker in a straight line, so scratching my head when he pulled past down the semi-straight.  Gained a place when Dan's Shelby suddenly was flipping through the air, and continued to chase Clive. Got past when he went off after a number of laps.  Kept me on my toes for most of the remainder of the race - any slacking and the gap dropped.

Grats to Ziu on two wins and Geoffers on the two seconds.

Are you computer savvy, Bob? If you are, I can explain how to extend Win7's life by stripping it down to essentials. Mine runs like that and it's still a charm. But it involves disabling and even deleting system services so if that rings no bell it's better not to because a single mistake is almost certainly a full reinstall.

PS I also think you've been had by the system, pretty sure you weren't a lap down on me.

That obviously seems to be an issue. I suspected that already some weeks ago.

Kurt, after a nice series of somersaults I think my suspension was completely damaged so I decided to try and finish the race at an appropriate pace. Luckily you were so kind as to make the odd mistake here and there so I wasn't all by myself all the time. That Cuda looked like a nasty piece to drive.

The cause of my taking to the air was Clive whom I had to give a gentle nudge :whistling: when he brake tested me in the esses, the guy is so slow that he even caught me by surprise :cursing: and when he's not on the brakes he goes sideways to an angle which makes it impossible to pass him. He's my hero!  :jumpjoy:

Looking forward to our next races...….

Did some snooping around to find out why my PC/GTL crashed to desktop and found that MCAfee anti virus had decided that I needed auto updates.  Fixed that!!  Don't know how this happened but probably caused the problem, at least I hope so.
