2x20 minute races    (should make for great close door to door racing action )  :)

I'm tempted to run this skin, although I'm going to look at the files and decide if I can be bothered making my own before I commit.

Wanted to try the car on default settings to get a lap time to work from.
That image was from a sensible setup based on the default - I then made one that wheely'd nearly everywhere ;D
Odd thing was that it wasn't that much slower when it wasn't falling off the black stuff :D

What version of cadwell park we will use? If it is from RD (1.0) then (omg!!!) i will be very bad. Worst track quality in all aspects. No road mesh, no track limits, no graphics. ;)
Do we have better version?

Quality and layout are excellent (I've driven Cadwell, it is this crazy 8) ).

Can't comment on the other - I try to avoid direct conversions

I haven’t been able to create the first race threads o this and the Lotus series yet as I’m waiting for DG to setup the series in Lm2 first. But assume race 1 to be using the track link FMG posted  :)
Cadwell is a great track, driven my old 911 there on trackdays   8)  was a bit scary in the wet once, mind  :o

With the 2 way at any rate, the vLSD is frankly terrifying on hilly tracks with poor traction..

Are there any dates for this series please?

First round is on the weds 16th January then every other week alternating with the Lotus Evora series.

The two trickiest tracks for reverse grid are at the start  :scared:

you will have to use patience young grasshopper  ;D  The problems i saw in TCR's race 2 was that the super fast front guys try to overtake as many cars as possible into the first few corners, rather than waiting for a decent straight or realistic overtaking opportunity later on the lap. Easier to say than do, i know, but patience is the key. Better to lose a few secs on cold tyres biding your time than end up in a spinning contact mess at T1  :smartass:
As in TCR, lap 1 contacts that spin or punt people off will be punished heavily.

I liked the Fox-Auto car I found, but then tried a paintjob from a classic car I'd painted on Forza years ago - and I like this more 8)

Plus as white absorbs fewer wavelengths than red, this car must be lighter  ;)

Yup Mark, over 1 incident.

When I want to have some fun on track I will take a look to the live timing. When I'll see fmg on the server I'll jump in. I'm here to have fun with other drivers on my pace. Reverse grids are a format I really dislike over a 20 mins race. Even at Cadwell I suffered a couple of moves that I didn't like at all in race 2. It's not my cup of tea.

It's sad that Matteo and Jeffrey are going to leave this series. Both are the only ones (also Max Veloce maybe) who can keep up with FMG. I'm sure that he, also, wants them on the track. I'm too slow with this car to have some possibility to fight with him.  :angel:

Your choice of course Matteo but would be happy for you to carry on racing. Sadly, as much as we would all like to be, we aren’t as quick as you and fmg at most events  :-\ but we don’t give up trying  :)

Seriously guys? You can't be fast all the time with all cars, right, and what comes to accidents, those happens as well. Sometimes you get hurt and sometimes not, deal with it and make a report if you feel too bad. Get back in the ring boys!

Round 6 Monza '66 is up next.  I can end the series on this round if the championship contenders are happy too, but if the general thought is you want to carry on until round 8 to finish the series then shout up below.  Despite lots of excellent close racing, this series seems to be running out of numbers attending and enthusiasm. (only 8 raced last time and shark has now dropped out since)  :-\  I'm happy with either decision, though tempted to see it out to make the drop outs wait longer for another series!  >:D :shifty:.

Keep on truckin' with these GTA's. Good sideway fun and rather close racing. Just look at the footage of the last couple of rounds. I suspect we don't get double grid sizes if we switch to someting else suddenly either.

Mathematically (is that even a word) championship is still open but we all know how it's going, anyway, let's drive with these untill FMG secure win in this series...

I agree with Stefan, if we quit now we're likely to get less drivers, not more, as there'll be no time to advertise a new series.

Plus some of the missing numbers were people who are just unable to make the races, and of course these are are just epic fun so it's their loss - not ours  ;)

Yes it is :) I should be back this week, sadly not everyone can make every race so numbers will always fluctuate a little. I like these as when I make a mistake it's often recoverable where as the aero on the Evoras is such that when I lose grip it's a lost cause. I don't have the reaction speeds required. Thus I have to drive like Little Miss Daisy and I never feel like I'm pushing it. Practising for days with no enjoyment ain't going to happen and even then I'll never compete with the guys up front  :-[

Good stuff all, lets keep on racing these litttle beasts then, i love them personally and have often thought of building a GTA replica in real life, but i'd have to sell one of my other beloved toys. I agree, those staying away are missing the racing fun, but they are also detracting from ours by giving us less cars to fight. :'( 

I'll keep racing if the races are there to be done  ;)
