note: when i tested this i envisaged about 15-20 cars racing around...sadly all the snowflakes have abstained so its down to us hardy souls to enjoy  :P  So at the moment i have left in the full course with lovely old banking as i have rarely raced on it, if ever. But if you guys would rather just race the 'Road course' then i can swap it to that. (but the latter is a bit boring in these cars imo whilst the banking has the novelty factor).  :)

With banking, there's no question about it ( nice section for ciggy-break )...  :balloon:

Great, will stick with the curved banking then  :)   (as a side note I've been in a real 60's 911 around the banking at Monthlery in France! it was epic, so high that you looked down on the infield area like you were in a light aircraft  :o  it seems to defy gravity that a car can go up there and not fall off when you look how steep it is.) Good fun  8)

Hmm must admit this track would be far more fun in a pack of 330p’s or gt40s  :P The Alfa seems to top out at about 137mph. Hope the little Alfa engine can cope with sustained top end screaming for 20mins   :o

hmm i did a load of laps sunday but only first lap got recorded  ??? I remember seeing a server disconnect towards the end of my sesh but maybe  it happened earlier than i thought. Will jump on tonight. Can i slipstream someone ala 'Days of Thunder' for a best time?  ;D

Funny you mention the 917/30 as i am intending to run a fun race or two with them  :devil:  they certainly fit the 'beast mode' :shifty:

What is the lap record? And was it set cleanly or while drafting?

3:05.777 set on a hotlap, so no drafting, but using the lowest temps for max power advantage.

17 peoples was in fight in this combo on RSR . With gap 20+ seconds. Very popular combo!  ;D

not the most scintillating combo to practise admittedly! would have been great with 15+ cars dicing and drafting on the banking, but there you go, i've banged my head on the desk enough trying to get people to race.

Good news is that most of us mortals appear to be withing a few tenths of each other so the slightest lift will see a drafting opportunity or overtake  :) Just dont put it in the wall or any damage will severely hamper your top speed.

I love this combo. It's brings something like nirvana feels . But yes, Mark. Better to avoid any contacts. I will try. Better to loose 0.5 sec avoiding car contacts than have a continues problems with all other lap  speed. I hightly recommend you guys to training a starts here. It will help a lot. As i trained a start enought , there is no need to use brakes by default in 1st turn. Just be smooth and lift off in 1st turn begins. The 4th gear in 1st turn will need only if you have a cars extremely loose speed in front of you there. Other things will be a slipstream actions! I love this intriga.  :)
And keep in mind that warmup lap in qualy will need a 1.5 lap to go  ;)

Guys,   my apologies for the major mess on race 1  :-[

I was the jam in the sandwich and just tagged the rear quarter of stefan and we got stuck together and went off,  then the bushes were a bit more solid than I thought and bounced me back across the track and managed to hit 2-3 more cars...  what a  :censored:

Quite enjoyed that tonight, different experience with the famous old banking  :thumbup1:

The cars looked superb on the grid and tearing around the banked curves  :)

Qually 4th race finish 4th. Fairly lonely thanks to the T1 spills that affected half the grid  ::) but I enjoyed watching Alex and Kimi duke it out ahead.

Race 2 much closer racing and I had some genuine lol moments when drafting and fighting Fabri, Pete and Stefan. 3 abreast into the banking at 130mph and my car decides to go into oversteer  :scared: luckily I recovered it but lost a lot of momentum dropping me back. I then over drove it to catch up, clipped a wall and started losing 2 secs a lap thanks to the dented Alfa panels  :-[
Finished 8th  :(
