wow this really is a fantastic combo  8) The Alfa suits the flowing curves like a natural. FMG is going to be in heaven  ;D

I'd just spent an hour chucking a BDA Escort Mk2 around the snow and ice of Monte Carlo in DR2 (as you do!) and so this felt brilliant as a follow on, with the Alfa feeling like its on a hillclimb in some parts of the track.  :)  Sweet ride as the Americans like to say  :tt1:

The guys who bailed on this series really missed out I think

Fmg’s years of gpl training certainly pays off in these cars, he’s still got a 1.2 sec advantage over the rest of us scoundrels  :surrender: at least the rest of us are close together   :)

IMHO, rear RH is defines basic driving  style of car here. 3-5 means "grip" style, when you have more modern car behavieur, faster exits, but loosing speed in mid turns. Not so effective in this track, but i still there.  All values above 6 is close to crazy "drift" style like FMG doing. 6 is neutral style but, for me, i have no reason to use it due less fun. Because not grip and not drift style it will be.  Front RH is turning depending of rear RH.

eh, ride height means nothing without knowing the spring rate too. 1 click harder spring = 1 click less ride height to maintain the same height at the rear...

don't ask me though, I thought I had the car worked out at goodwood but since then I seem to have gone totally the wrong way in the setup  :taz:

Another one small white car in the mirror ( great moving, FMG!) and her great maneuvering at start  :D  It was fun and hard to see his trying before  overtake me you have 4 unsuccess attempts. But i was unfortunatelly  too wide in last try, leaving a space to you and hit the grass slightly  :sweatdrop: Thanks for the battle! You are the best, you know  :thumbup1:

Well done Max! Please send me your setup- it looks great from the other car!
Fabri was stable in whole race in the mirrors too  :thumbup1:

Yes, see a vid  :) But it was not favorite combo. I dont like to rotate rwheel +- 360 degree a whole race in narrow turns  ;D
Sorry for you HDD and double finns absent here.  :(

Sadly almost a non-event due to the low number that raced (6 cars!  :( ) but a great combo imo. If it had 15 of these cars battling around it would have been awesome, but i still enjoyed some action in race 1 at least.

I was oddly out of sorts last night, couldnt get near my pb's and struggled for the braking point at T1 on numerous laps whereas i was nailing it in pre-event practise. Took until about half way through race 1 before i picked up my game.  :-[ Then i enjoyed a great chase of fabri for many laps with Alex just ahead of him.
Race 2 was good fun for the first few laps and i pulled a decent lead until FMG caught me, then i nearly threw it off getting confused by his 'chuck it in' cornering techniques which appeared to defy physics sometimes  :P but looked like he was enjoying himself! But i threw away my good 2nd place when i got a big wobble under braking at T1, and dropped to the back  :taz:
Then around 9-10 mins i was convinced i was going to drop connection as cars started warping ahead, then it stabilised and i could see Alexey up the road so carried on racing. Eventually the other guys re-appeared on my driver list so wasnt sure what was happening and carried on until the end. Weirdly all my hud-menus came out tiny last night after a windows update so couldnt read them whilst racing. ???
Not sure what the official line is on disco's for the race results?  :-\ Normally its tough luck if you disco in a race and a couple of us continued to the end, but not an easy call when 4 of the 6 disapeared !   Though i'd love the points, i'm okay if the 2nd race results are voided or given as positions held at time of server interruption.

Generally events are not re-run but as long as we're consistent it doesn't really matter IMHO. I can import both results and the 2nd will be what it is, you'll then need to tweak it if you want to end the event early. I'll await your go ahead Mark before I do the import.

Personally it makes no difference to me, I wasn't last at the time of the incident in the 2nd race but more than likely would have been by the end. Didn't get on too well here last night, I'll blame Jeffery's setup from Cadwell Park (yes I still use  ::))

2nd race full vid for history. Fire dance in start and 1st lap. My stupid brake mistake ( lucky divebomb to Pete).  3 wide on backstraight. Closing a door in front of Max. Sorry Max, my risk , may be my bad, but i was cleared to do it very last moments.  :)   Good and risky battles with guys futher. Lost position to Max due my stupid too early gear upshift mistake. Chasing Mark. Fish from Mark   >:D. Where is FMG? As always with these baths - in front of all after 3 turns from race start.   Massive disco online with chat and track map view   But we with Mark are winers!  :P ( joke)
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyYLuo3buMk

PS . If to be serious- it was very good combo. And i've fully enjoyed it. Always too tired after this kind of races, hate it just after the race  ;D, but loving it  on next day  with fresh head:). Need more pilots here as Mark said.  :)

certainly wont be re-runnning it, with such small turnout!  Go ahead and import, but me and alex deserve a consolation point for ploughing on regardless  ;)

I'm not bothered what you do with race 2 results, it was just unfortunate that some network glitch caused most players to lose connection mid race  :(

Race 1 - I got a decent start, and at T1 decided to play it safe only to see fmg run very wide and disappear from my view :o - a few corners later I could see he had dropped a few positions and after 2-3 laps it was clear he was struggling to find clean overtakes to chase me down. By half distance I had enough of a lead I knew even when he passed alexey I was safe from his faster laps if I kept it tidy. Looking back its clear I had the wrong gear ratios and it was costing me a lot of time in the slow turns, but I ran out of practice time pre-race so just drove what I had...

Race 2 - Ok start, then I tried to play it safe with overtakes, not wishing to be the cause of another monza :(.  I quickly found out why it took fmg so long to pass everyone in the race 1, the places everyone else was slower also meant that they blocked easy overtakes. Clearly he'd worked it out in race 1 and race 2 he was gone, but it took me a few laps to work my way through and not long after that the warping started, first I thought it was just fmg with the problem as his car went all over the place, then he dropped out and half a lap later I had the message "connection to server lost" - I kept going for another lap or so until it was clear it was a permanent problem and then stopped. Oh well...

I've not raced Okayama before but it did suit the Alfas very well, nice choice!  Looking forward to the finale at Zolder, thats a fun track

BTW guys, here is AC livehack ( confirmed bymyself). When you see warping, connection losts, and other bad inet behavieur in AC- just drive, even you see a server message about server disco. Practically ( i was a witness) in one race, 50 percents of pilots was diaconnected same way! But! Server was rebuild a connections  of all of pilots who not exit the session after 8 ( omg 8!!! minutes!)  and race was continue normally. So, next time, if you see massive warps- just continue to drive and have a good chance to recover the grid after some minutes gone!  ;) :)

OMG i see the published race table. I've won 2 nd race? NOT SURE. I will agree with it if it match to UKAC rugulation . If not- i will agree with grid state at moment of massive disco. We've all done just slightly more than 50 percents of race time ( see my docu vid).

Interesting if it can recover after that amount of time disocnnected, next time I will just keep going then  :)

BTW also forgot to say,  if I'm a bit quiet in the game chat its because its a massive pita to chat in VR, I'm not trying to be rude or anything!   I need to work on some better method of making that work for the future

I rejoined the race because I quit out and manually reconnected to the server.
It certainly didn't re-add me on it's own
