(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap
(6) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)

i tried the car last night but cant say i felt like i was driving a 964 cup car  :-\ it felt wooden with no dynamics. To be fair i spent most of my time just configuring RRE to suit my hardware but i still put about 10 laps in on their 'try before you buy' carp circuit. I'll try the Fantatec settings that Frex linked too and try the car again.

not really, just that with the lack of people racing here lately and with some more varied cars on RRE, i thought i'd give it another try to see what the various updates had done. (i hadnt used it for about a year!).  Will see.

What happened at the start Markus? 10 out of 10 for staying in and keeping going, you almost had me after I spun in the last turn  ::)

Few but Good! you were faster than me, but my goal was trying to have a good pace.
And i Did.

John was impossible to catch you.

Race solo practically... second from the first corner until checkered flag.

ciao ciao

Sorry did try, fell off every lap in practice and I've got a gammy hip which wasn't helping so I quit out before I messed up everyone else's night.

Had a disco again, but this time at the end of the practice. I could rejoin before the quali, so no problem.
When the quali ended, I stayed in the car, wich was maybe a fault. When the session was over, the timer started a new, second quali of 15 Minutes. It last nearly a minute, then I was beamed in the starting grid. After a few moments I realized that the race has already started. I kept pushing to close the gap of 40 seconds what was a very ambitious goal. But after 30 Minutes only 10 seconds left, but no position gained.
The good: my pace was ok.
The bad: no race without problem for me yet.
Hoping that it will work better next race.

It is unusual for me to be discoed in R3E or AC. It happens sometimes In GTL, usually when someone else joins practice
rarely drops during a race but it has happened. Once I dropped because my lady friend was watching Netflix.....
on her slow Sky connection. If it happens and there is time, I power off and on my router to get a new IP
and maybe a better connection. Perhaps your internet provider doesn't like the hops to our server?
Try doing a traceroute from a CMD prompt/DOS box on your PC and see what it looks like?

Thank you very much for your kind help. In GTL I can`t remeber to be discoed, at least not in the last 50 races.
But I will try the traceroute and post the results.

Assuming you're racing GTL here then in both cases you're talking to the same server.

@Markus - sorry you had problems again. I think this is unusual in RRE and I don't think I've ever had a disco except when there has been a wider game/server problem. I had a quick look through the official forums and the only things I could find mentioned there were bad net connection/bad router and anti-virus issues. I hope you can sort it for the next one.

@Geoffers - sorry you went off early again. I was behind you and closing through the first corner exit, and then you spun. On my replay there is always a gap of at least a metre or two between our cars and I didn't feel any contact, but you never know with these things online. I hope you didn't feel any contact from your side?

Enjoyed the race, but another spin from me again.. Congrats John and Alessandro.

Nothing to do with you Frex, all my own doing. Had another spin into the barriers on the next lap so gave up in disgust. Not really clicking with these Porkas, in fact I have never been any good in 911 derivatives in GTL, always seem to understeer to the point where the back breaks away & I end up spinning. Oh well never mind.

Grats to the podium, well driven guys.
