Title: UKGPL Season 35 (2019) - Le Mans - Jun 16 Post by: Cookie on June 15, 2019, 03:07:39 PM +0100 Fun Race - Sports Car Extra – Test - Le Mans by night
The first test for the Season 35 SCX races finds us at Le Mans, we will be racing the night version because of the better stability. The 24 Hours of Le Mans (French: 24 Heures du Mans) is the world's oldest active sports car race in endurance racing, held annually since 1923 near the town of Le Mans, France. It is one of the most prestigious automobile races in the world and is often called the "Grand Prix of Endurance and Efficiency". The event represents one leg of the Triple Crown of Motorsport; other events being the Indianapolis 500, and the Monaco Grand Prix.

Sorry Fulvio, seems to be a misunderstanding. I saw a gap... The Alfa has to be put in the database, as it is not yet recognized Title: Re: UKGPL Season 35 (2019) - Le Mans - Jun 16 Post by: fpolicardi on June 16, 2019, 11:34:29 PM +0100 Great fun racing with these cars! Grats Greg ;D Ok Axel, I've watched replay. I was moving slowly on the left cause I was expecting you had passed on right where there was plenty of room.Sorry Fulvio, seems to be a misunderstanding. I saw a gap... The Alfa has to be put in the database, as it is not yet recognized Sorry to Dulima that was following us when I touched Andreas and I spun taking Dulima with me. Was the only one that did a S/G after reset? ;) Ciao Title: Re: UKGPL Season 35 (2019) - Le Mans - Jun 16 Post by: GregT on June 17, 2019, 05:14:08 PM +0100 Congrats Axel and Jonny!
I'm a bit crippled. I took the only fast car that I had a setup. I broke my left arm (my dominant arm) in the middle of April, so I've been driving with only one arm. I have to use the paddle to upshift and a button on the front of the wheel to downshift. It makes me lousy under braking and I struggle with my race line. I had a difficult time to keep from hitting Andreas the first time into the Esses. I was disappointed to see Axel quickly lose any chance to race for the win or at the front. Andreas's mistake wasn't unusual. In the tow with me breathing down his neck, isn't going to make things easy. Once I broke the slipstream to Jonny, I waited for Axel so he could race with me. I thought we could catch Jonny. We did it faster than I thought we would. I don't know what happened at Terte Rouge. Axel suddenly disappered behind me. For many seconds, I thought I was being discoed. He was able to catch me again. I thought I may have led Axel into Mulsanne on the wrong lap. I was hoping to do it on the last lap so I'd have a good chance to win. Somebody must have put some oil on the track at Arnage. :) My car car slipped a lot and then I could see Axel got sideways. That was all I needed for an easy finish. My arm was aching and I felt lousy overall, but I did enjoy the race. It was a big challenge to break away from Jonny and to try to beat Axel. Take care guys and thanks for letting me race with you. I noticed that Lola has in the new physical lower speed final the downside is not seeing any ford on the track I like to see all brands I will perform a similar event in the "Clandestines Trophy", but I will try to leave the fixed places by inscription that is, so I want to have a grid divercificado with 8 places for cars 2 liters, being 4 porsche and 4 alpha. It remains to know if I will have enough pilots !!! hehe Title: Re: UKGPL Season 35 (2019) - Le Mans - Jun 16 Post by: JonnyO on June 17, 2019, 05:40:15 PM +0100 on the race I had a good hit for the winged chaparal and the alpha t33.
but I looked at the grid and did not have many cars so I chose Lola for obvious reasons the race was very excited between me, Axel and Greg. but in fact I was just a vacuum passenger it was not fast enough. Congrats Greg!!!! |
