Can we try to keep the pack size down to a minimum by taking out cars that are just test cars or no longer used. So if there are any cars that people don't want anymore please say so.

One extra and final car for Team Shark to add to the pack please Rich...

We must leave in any cars which have been used in past league races even if they aren't used any more or we'll create a very difficult situation for anyone trying to watch old replays, as they'll struggle to figure out which car pack is needed to view which replay.

I've finished SpaceFox's Saleen.. it's here if anyone want to check it out.

http://www.auyu41.dsl.pipex.com/UKGTR%20ES3%20Caldbeck%20Fell%20Racing.rar

If anyone tries it can you do me a screenshot and let me know if any probs with it?

Don't forget to delete any cars you've put in manually so it doesn't screw up the 1.5 carpack when installed.

Hmm you know in this thread https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=1235 needs updating.

It says delete UKGTR ES2 folders. It needs also to say delete all UKGTR folder. I used UKGTR without ES3 for 1.4 update so I could remember which folder are from which version.

Also these cars need adding for where to look..

GT\Lamborghini
GT\Saleen

 :)

I've finished it, uploading to FTP. It took a while to connect to your FTP, about five min but uploading now at 30kb/s 50 mins remaining.

Great job by all, some very nice skins. I didn't have to do much, Shark you forgot to resize normal .tex files to half of ultra size. Folloiwing the original GTR car files for resolution size and DXT format you can't go wrong. Minton, yours I don't think would have worked but it should do now.. I sent you PM but that explanation I gave earlier somewhere else I can't find it atm but it describes everything quite well.

Btw i've not got my GFX card, could have got it today but then found out I need an adaptor to PSU. So will be running by Monday hopefully.. this means i'm not able to check it. I'm confident it will work but there may be some issues. If you could do 52 grid race at Spa Shark, one race with Hi-rez and one with Hi-rez disabled just to make sure it doesn't crash or anything, maybe quick scan through some skins that would be great. Have fun with test on Sunday, see you at Brno nGT sprint with new car pack if all goes well.  :)

Where is it? I don't have full access to SimRacing FTP so need a location to update the link with.

Shark you forgot to resize normal .tex files to half of ultra size. Folloiwing the original GTR car files for resolution size and DXT format you can't go wrong.

Actually I didn't know I needed to.

Yea there is tex and ultra tex. The regular tex is for lo-rez i.e 1024x512 textures..

Anyhow, it's on FTP. Maybe another mod knows how to access it. I guess you put it somewhere on www then send out PMs.

I send you PM with FTP details. It's called SROU Car Pack v1.5.

Have to say, the skins all looked really good with particular mention to how good Paul968s 360 looked!
"My other car is a Porsche" - love it!!!

Nice paint job on the sonic cars too! sweet!

Getting to the race, a herd of african tigers jumped out at me on the last chicane and er.....played a dazzling rendition of "We will Rock you" on some monkey skulls so...you can see how I got distracted.... ;) :D

Hope everyone had fun!

I got connected, but didn't get a chance to race.

Only one problem with the skin pack for me...
Very minor, but the RVS team Lamborghini had the standard 36 black lamborghini icon in the menus when it should have had it's own. The car itself was fine.

No problems here with anything. It was nice to take C5r out for a run but the lack of straight line speed meant I had to take a few chances with the tyre walls to keep up with Zacari. I guess in the end I ran out of luck and my Vette went to the Virtual scrapheap  ;) Nice wins Zac n' TT

No problems here either, Paul968's 360 is great :D as are all the new cars!  For the race Jon was miles faster in the twisty sections but with 1-6 wing settings and more horses I could bundle off on the straights, then one of us lost out to the tyer-barrier lottery :( good battle up to that :) glad we dont race there in the sprint and endurance seasons though!

I can take no credit for the 360 - Ginsters was the creative genius who came up with that one (isn't it great!)

Was doing fine in the race, with a big lead in NGT until I got a bit of a wobble on out of one of the chicanes and got collected by a GT. The resultant damage cost me about 2 laps while I pitted. Really glad we don't race there now.

Paul

I was lucky to have them frontrunners outrace themselves, lol.  ;D   Then it was just bring it home slowly. Bad luck Jon, when you and Zacari lapped the first time I could see Zac sweat...  ;D   Then a big tower of black smoke appeared and oh, oh...   :'(

Good win Zac!  :)

I saw no missmatches whatsoever. Seems  a good sign to me, so GJ Rich.  8)   And other artists, of course.  :)

Managed to clip the 1st tyre tower on the 1st lap, rofl! N00b mistake 2, cause 1 was changing some settings just before race and not testing them...
N00b mistake 3 was not changing tyres during pitstop, thinking I only need repairs...
N00b mistake 4 was driving out of pit and getting sort of in the way of lapping traffic (not helped tbh by having a punctured front left...)
So soz to Enz (I think) who I clipped a bit there :-\
That was about it, managed a 10th place, only tenths behind Paul968 in the end, lol. Glad this wasn't an official season race, although I would like to drive Enna in 1 :). Hope I made all mistakes in this 1 'test' race and none in the upcoming 'real' ones :D

Good wins Zac and TT.

Am I the only one wanting to race there again? I never had any problems with the tyre walls at this track. Only my own stupidity caused problems to me here ;D

Edit: Looks like I'm not the only one after all ;)

No problems here either, Paul968's 360 is great :D as are all the new cars!

When I got back to my PC and the race had started I had a look through the cars driving round on track and I spotted Paul's arse. Thought wtf?! It's a Ferrari and it says Porsche on the back, then the penny dropped as I read the rest of it and had a good chuckle to myself. Good one SBG.

Think i might stick SHARK ON  BOARD sticker on the back of the GTR2 cars, or IF YOU CAN READ THIS YOU'RE ABOUT TO OVERTAKE ME.

Through a team admin error, my Saleen GT skin never got submitted by my illlustrious team leader :'(
I only found out myself when i loaded up the 1.5 skin pack :-[
Is there any remote chance i can get it added as a skin pack add-on?...or have i missed the proverbial boat?

I understand fully if its too late. I'll just have to carry on racing in my non-descript 'pikey' standard colour GT car :'(

The ship has sailed I'm afraid. I wasn't really intending doing another refresh because of the impending arrival of a certain GTR2...

Everything worked fine and looked great at my end. Those Sonic cars are really striking. Had to leave at 9, but I had enough of Enna by then anyways. Set a new PB within first 4 laps in the 550 then proceeded to whack the tyres for the next half hour trying to improve.  Not my favourite track  ;).

Be real shame if GTR2 can't be skinned, as its good fun once the initial aggro is done. Thanks to all involved and Rich for being persistent in the face of some initial resistance (me included  :))

The pack was absolutely stunning. Great skins in there. ;)

I'm very, very pleased to see you also are dumping Enna for the Season. What a terrific track. A small error on the tyres and off you go to see the race from TV.

I started the qualifying well with 1:36.4, or something of the sorts. I had a GT behind me and though to let him pass at the first chance he had and he was up one place before the first tyre chicane. How I regret I did just that :(

For the chicane after the first tyres he braked much sooner and turned much slower that I had to brake while turning to lose some speed and couldn't avoid a spin, dropping to last.

I then returned to a good pace with a 1:38.2 lap , or something of the sort, but those tyres are truly a menace. I turned a bit to late for the fist chicane and kabum  ;D

So glad you're not going to use Enna in the Season ;D

Enna will not be in the Endurance Season calendar because we just used it. :P

The plan remains for it to be an 8 race season with 5 original tracks and 3 add ons.

Yeah, I see 3 addon Tracks: Imola, Jerez and Suzuka.
I already tested them all (and 30 others  ;D) to chose the addons we're using at bSkilled.
Imola is top notch, Jerez is so-so, but we found a bug at Suzuka

I don'tknow if you noticed (probably you're using a corrected version) but there is hole at the left curb on the last left corner before the last chicane (humm, I really don't know if you can follow me here  ;D ). The hole is quite noticeable if you step on the curb. The car will jump quite hardly. Also there is a some textures missing in that part of the corner. Other then that the track is fine

We'll also be doing some testing before hand with special events probably on wednesdays where. All the tracks will be tested online with a few people at least before they are run in the championship. Helps people get familiar with the track too before they plunge in with a full championship race.

Thanks for the heads up on possible Sukuza problems. I'll have to check what version I have tested with so, I may well have any updates too it.

That's okay, I was expecting to have to do a bit of fixing up with quite a few new cars - that's why I wanted an export.

Noticed at least one more error: one of the 28CD cars has "28CD MORTORSPORTS" (Jamera's) as its team instead of "28CD MOTORSPORTS".

Can the driver called "Joao Ribeiro" confirm their forum name please? I think you're "J C R" but I want to be sure. Thanks. :)

My .car file (752 car) contains the same error unfortunately. I checked the other 28cd cars but only the 741 and 752 teamnames are misspelled.

Doh!! Sry bout that, Mortorsports lol..   ::) As long as there's no CTD and both hirez lorez work that's the most important thing. I wouldn't change them cause it might cause mismatches, I dunno will it?
