I felt really rusty firing up AC last night, not helped by an enforced hiatus with my wheel problem and then a 2wk holiday  :P  Had to re-calibrate all my hardware including the rift  ::)
Still, got upto to speed within a few laps as we've used this track not so long ago. I didnt notice much/if any improvements to the track with this latest version  ???

I think the last outing at Mosport for me was with GTL i believe with a Ford Mustang. Challenging lay-out with some blind off camber turns. But with these cars every track is fun!

The update solely concentrates on compatibility for other mods. I don't think there was even a bug fix.

I might do some practice tonight - but as I've just downloaded the 1975 F1 mod I'll probably be trying that instead if I can get on the PC...

good to see you on the practise server tonight Juge  :) though bizarley we never saw each other out on track!  :P Similar pace meant we stayed equi-distant but it was fun pushing each other for ever better laptimes  :fencing: pipped you with my last effort  ;D

@max, thanks for putting up a server but alas we had lost half the field by then I think and was probably too late for some to race. Maybe we can sort a test race out on that some time to see if it can cope with 10-12 racers for future back up plan.

anyone know whats happened to Pete? I know he's having treatment for his hip, hope all okay.

Really sorry chaps, I got a phone call appointment to go to hospital to review my hip. The pelvis is so weak they wouldn't let me home until the house can be made safe for me! I'm assured I'll get better but life is a bit on hold just now. Ideally I need someone else to liaise with Dave who's able to start the server for the short term.

Sadly as I was expecting the outpatients only I didn't bring computers etc. so I couldn't  easily get on last night and report the problem. Although to be fair I was so preoccupied I'd have forgotten anyway I suspect!

I'm not sure of my escape date yet either nor of the full range of treatments I'm likely to get. So far 4 X-Rays, 2 MRIs, I've an PET/CT appointment for later today and a separate CT tomorrow. I'll be glowing in the dark soon!

If you could please, that would really help out. I've got a computer now but what with treatment times, head space etc. it would be much better if something reliable could done as cover.

How do you want to play this MJ? Put the CanAm races back 2 weeks and keep the alternative ACC test races in-situ is probably best for those who've made plans to attend some of the existing races.

I hope to be home with a few days but they're talking 18 weeks of initial treatment. I hope I'll be back racing before then and fully expect in a couple of weeks to be able to do my server duties more often than not.

Not the best time to add new trauma in to the leagues here when attendance is low but hopefully everyone will bare with us and we can get some sort of normality back as winter approaches.

Would rather race the Can-Am next week as it didnt happen this week. ACC will just have to fit in around this series as attendance is even lower in ACC sadly and still has issues. We had a healthy(ish) grid chomping to go racing last night. Long Live AC !  ;D

Thanks for the kind wishes everyone :thumbup2: SRW you know where the server files are, if you only change password and the session times then everything will work. I do change the welcome text file, there's race and practice server templates, and the event title but if they were forgotten with the event will still run.

@picnic, I havent had a chance to look at the server files for tonights race yet. Is it a case of just changing the password tonight or do I need to make more changes?

Sorry you'll have to setup the event (track/session lengths etc) Car list is the same so shouldn't need changing

shouldnt most of the info already be listed/saved in the server setup and SRW just needs to set the session lengths to match post 1 of this thread? (Being that its been running for a couple of weeks now on the practise server.  :-\ )

I will have a look at the server when i get home from work(about 6pm). So plenty of time to ask questions if need be  :)

That would be fantastic :) Wife is working late that night but should be home early enough to be there for our sleeping princesses.

ATM, server is set to 2 hours qually and 4 min race, so that needs fixing.

Just had a look at the server, cant see any potential problems, I will restart the server at 7:30pm with the race night password and relevant session lengths.

Can't ask more. Did the whole race no mistakes, and several pb's and FINISHED. For me a result.

My Can Am curse continues after a bloody windows update caused me all sorts of dramas  ::) taken me two days to get my triple monitors re set up properly then when I joined tonight I found I had no controls.  :taz: my wheel wasn’t even showing in control panel and I had to repair the driver files  >:( then recalibrate again  ::). I was spitting feathers!
Inevitably this meant I missed pre race practise, qually and had a delayed start from the pit lane!  :P

I was determined not to miss my race and knowing these cars can be unruly, hoped to steam on and catch any one that had incidents or slower pace. Sure enough First Kimi then Juge fell by the wayside and I rose to 6th place, determination rewarded  :)

Even got a grandstand seat watching the top two chasing to the finish line  :) Had the lap pace for a fight for 4th but hey ho, will take it.

With all the morphine I'm on you expect me to know what I missed last week  :o

I should be around next Wednesday if server duties are needed. Is there an AC race planned? I can see a race in the 'forthcoming' list for Road Atlanta, but there doesn't seem to be a race announcement yet. Is this still on course to go ahead?

Next week should be the scheduled last race of CanAM. Two regulars cant make it so was thinking of postponing it a week and letting the ACC boys have a race. Thats only okay if the rest of the CanAm regulars dont mind a week delay?

Does anybody other than Picnic know how to use the ACC server? (because I don't)

Sadly due to the patches that have come out the last few days the ACC server files will need updating entirely. This is not hard, everyone gets the server files as part of the game. Copy these up and edit the json files. The link on the desktop should still launch the game when needed.

If you save the exiting JSON files you can see how I configured the older version. There is also a PDF configuration document in the server folder, last time I looked it was far from complete but gives enough to get the server running

If too complicated to get an ACC race going then will stick with original plan of running next weeks AC CanAm race.

I was looking but saw you so far back when starting to turn to corner that I was not expecting you to be there and when I saw you it was too late to do anything. Sadly my reply does not work so I can not check how it really went but am happy to check if someone can send me reply file and put my hand up if it was my fault.

It wasn´t race I expected either… Got so heavy damage on suspension on that crash that on next lap on same fast right the car just would not turn and crashed again. Also my gearbox took so heavy damage that it broke on slightest miss-Shift couple laps later and race was done.

SRW, are you able to confirm if you can get the ACC updates running on the server? I need to put a race thread up for either event so people can practise over the weekend if they wish.
Otherwise i will stick with the original fixture which is AC Can-Am last round.

We will need to wait until Picnic is back and can write an idiots guide for me to use the ACC server.
