The closing race of the season will take place at Silverstone, home of the British Grand Prix & a GPL original. Silverstone is built on the site of a World War II bomber base, RAF Silverstone, which opened in 1943. The track hosted the first F1 championship race in 1950. The British Grand Prix has been permanently held here since 1987. The airfield's three runways, in classic WWII triangle format, lie within the outline of the present track. Since 1975 the track has been modified with the introduction of chicanes etc – we will be using the 1960’s layout. The season will be a mixed grid & free choice of chassis for all drivers. The damage model is intermediate & all drivers are permitted 1 x Reset, followed by a compulsory Stop & Go. Server = UKGPL10 IP = see iGOR Race date = Tuesday 03-12-2019 Track Directory - Papyrus Race length = 33 Laps (50 minutes) Variant = 1965 60fps patch used = 60fpsV2newmod Damage Model = Intermediate Qualifying time = 30-45 minutes Driver lists and divisional rules can be found on the Championship Standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=692&theme=6) There is no Red Zone. Moderating will be on reported incidents only. Remember that lap 1 incidents carry an additional penalty place. Please restrict chat to pit messages including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line. It is keyhole surgery, and that might not be too bad, but I suspect that I won't be totally recovered from the general anaesthetic...…..maybe you won't notice any difference in my driving ::)

Is that paid for on the NHS? I might as them to correct the bits on my driving style which are slowing me down.

...I have to said about my race that I forget to do the stop and go after my shift-R on early race ... so maybe I should have a penalty ...? anyway it was good race and I had to push hard to recover the lead... thx all & org. cu next season and hope more racer on this mod ! Reset and spent the race chasing down Dave and Billy. Billy had a moment as I was closing in but Dave was just too far ahead and I had a moment on the last lap after 28 laps of pushing. Fun race and an enjoyable season overall. A shame there were low numbers for most of it so perhaps a different mod for Tuesdays next season? Maybe F2s, I've never tried them. Also, please don't start the season until I have moved house and set up my kit. :) |
