Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

I think this is an "Erling" track  ;)

Pretty much yes, apart from the slow corners  :)

Now if only I could reach some sort of agreement with the car...  ::)

Sorry for quitting early guys. I tried new software for recording the race and had frame lag. It wasn't impossible to drive but it was not cool and after making 2 mistakes i just had enough.

Tough event and no mistake.

Really like the track, usually like the car although it's always tricky to get the best out of it, but the combination was really challenging to both get a lap right, and to go all race without too many spins!

Grats to all that saw the flag, commiserations to those that didn't.

As Daz said a tough race.

Don't think I had the gearing or setup right for this track, Dimitar was much faster than me on the S/F straight & I had to save fuel from quite early on in the race to make sure I reached the finish. Had a battle with Dimitar until he went off then chased Erling for a few laps until he spun. Held 2nd with Erling gaining on me but nearly lost control over one of the crests which allowed Erling back past. Gradually closed back up to Erling over the remaining laps as he too was fuel saving, but failed to catch him by just over a second.

Congrats to Daz on the win & Erling in 2nd    & well done Tony, the only other finisher.

Grats to the podium peoples and to those who survived.
I do find these cars more than a handful, more like two whole armfuls!!

Through this series I have progressed from absolutely abysmal all the way up the scale to, barely adequate  :-\ Wednesday's race was probably my best effort yet and on a track that initially looked ( and felt ) destined for disaster.

Some major changes to the default setup, and some even bigger changes to driving style, gradually uncovered some pace although still 5 secs off the pace of the aliens.
There was a 3 way contest for the best mistake at the back of the field as Matt, Tony and myself disputed the right to be last ::). Matt left at about half distance and Tony and I continued the hostilities until the leaders came around to lap us. My car felt OK even as the tyres wore down to around 60%, it was driving errors when I tried to push beyond my safe limit that undid my chances. But after one "off" the handling appeared to change and the tendency for the rear to try and get out of the corners first increased to stupid levels. One small ray of amusement was when Daz lapped me and promptly ran a fraction wide allowing me one brief moment of glory as I overtook "the leader" to unlap myself. The glory did not last long and he was soon past and running away.

I decided to quit when the handling just became too much for my ability to manage and a lap of multiple excursions and spins.

As others have said a very difficult race.  Liked the track, but again challenged by the car. Lots of eksperimentation with the setup arrived at a tolerable level, although I never succeeded in making it 'safe'.

Only shortly before the race did I realize that fuel would be critical. XD showed 34.3 laps on a tankful, so obviously some sort of fuel saving would be necessary.  My plan, depending on how the race unfolded, was to push the first half and then take stock, saving fuel in the 2nd half if it appeared necessary. That was shot to pieces however, when XD's fuel info froze early on, leaving me completely in the dark for most of the race.

Considering I was lapped in the previous race, I didn't have high hopes for this one, so very surprised to find myself slower only than the unreachable Daz.  Shame about Dimitar's untimely exit - was shaping up to be a close race between him, Geoffers & me, so would have loved to hear his commentary  :)  Most of the race then was between Geoffers & me, swapping places a couple of times as he mentions. Very difficult to race him with a temperamental car and trying to save fuel at the same time.  Towards the end, he was catching me and I had to quit most of the saving measures - if I was going down, it would be flying!!    As it was, the fuel lasted, but with XD dead, I never knew how close I came to running out.

Grats to Daz, Geoffers & Tony, and commiserations to those who dropped out prematurely.

I too had the XD fuel info stop working, only showed fuel usage rate, not how much left. Must be a track related thing. ???

You had showed as DNF in my XD| readout all race Geoff, not sure if that is related to what you had going on....

I think my fuel calculation in quali was for 35.8 laps from a full tank, but I'm not even sure that the fuel light came on by the end of the race if I'm honest, was too busy trying to not get thrown off the track constantly to check.

Yes Clive, passing you caused me to lose concentration good and proper, I both half span, and then a full 360 whilst trying to get back on terms, lost the rhythm for a good few laps

Must have been the gearing I was using, but I knew at the start I was half a lap short on fuel if I drove hard all race.
